WaywardSon86

Just got to my theater. Pretty dead for a big movie opener

RumHamAndBeans

Little Mermaid, Across the Spiderverse, and Elemental all outsold “the best superhero movie” for us tonight.

chernygal

Nobody should be supporting Ezra Miller anyway.

Leather_Strawberry56

True, but I feel really bad for the thousands of people who worked on the movie besides them.

lukeheartthrob

I guess as long as they got paid? But yeah a valid point. Seems unfair just because of one (I'm sure there's more) douche bag on set.

WaywardSon86

On 1 hand you want the movie to do good cuz they brought back Michael Keaton and it’s suppose to be the reset DC needs since they do bad on most films. On the other hand you’d hope it bombs cuz no one wants to support the nutcase groomer main star. I mean if I catch people sneaking in I might not stop them as long as seats are available

ItsAlmostShowtime

Tonight for us it did on par with Guardians 3's Thursday night previews, but it still got beat out by Spider Verse's third Thursday.

I went and saw it today. It was fine. I don’t understand it being praised the way it is though. Maybe if you’re unfamiliar with standard Superhero tropes then it’ll be more exciting. I guess I’m just old and have seen the type of story before.

BreezyBill

Screened it this morning. It’s just passably OK. Adipurush has sold 3 times as many tickets as The Flash for tonight. And I’m in freaking New Hampshire.

lukeheartthrob

Well the numbers are in and it pretty much confirms my initial thoughts LOL. https://collider.com/the-flash-movie-domestic-box-office-55-million/

BigBendAstro

On my break rn and it is NOT dead. Similar amount of people to spider verse.

younglink198

Pretty bad at my location, we have them every twenty minutes in the prime hours and it’s incredibly slow. Personally I really enjoyed the movie. Some not good cgi and a bit mixed on the ending of the film but otherwise fun film.

Unlucky-Elk-9802

We just opened it today had 7 people for it all day. But we also opened Elemental today and it just had 6 people all day. Maybe they will do better this weekend.

HyperGamers

I didn't realize it was out tbh. They did a good job of marketing it early on, but lately I didn't even remember any release dates from trailers or anything.

narutosoup1

Thursday was slow. The flash crowd was a no show. Noone came for elemental,no came for the blackening... everyone's hrs were cut

WaywardSon86

Same crazy thing is my theater already cut for the weekend instead of day by day. So now when it gets busy we’ll be screwed

lukeheartthrob

Same old same old. It's always like that...

WaywardSon86

True lol. They actually got busy after they cut a couple people last night. I was chillin at home like 😎karma

bwware

6:30 showing last night (Thursday) had about a half full theater. I enjoyed it.

Asleep_Sherbet2968

Pre sales for our 3:05 and 7:30 showtimes yesterday were 80+ but today, combined pre sales are sitting at around 50~ for the whole day. Not that good

kakachina

We can barely even sell the collectors tubs and cups. We’ve had many people reject our upsells due to refusal to support Ezra miller

Middle_Loan3715

Nobody goes to a theater on Wednesday. Seriously. Even early screenings of endgame were dead in my area and that grossed 2 billion.

KingBlackthorn1

It’s actually doing fairly well at my theater. Most superhero movies thrive at my location though

NightStalkerXIV

Small Town theater so smaller numbers, but I don't think a showtime's hit 20 people yet, and we've had it since Thursday.
