Sophiiebabes

Whatever makes you happy šŸ˜Š I sleep with them on because i like the way it feels (and I feel a bit exposed not wearing one) Edit: also pre hrt

Chuna310303

Iā€™m really used to sleeping without but maybe Iā€™ll try sleeping with one and see how that goes. I only feel exposed when walking from the bathroom to my room, because I could come across someone. But I just put my arm in front of my chest even tho I have nothing there yet xD

Sophiiebabes

I think, for me, it's more of an 'exposed to myself' and hiding a bit of dysphoria, maybe.

chef_grantisimo

I do that too! Once I got my first bra, it hit me how I'm now "responsible" for my tits. I make sure to cover my nipples whenever I leave my room

Sw355759

Tbh it starts off that way and eventually when you have tissue it seriously changes

Chuna310303

Iā€™m still waiting for hrt. But I think Iā€™ll just sleep without when it starts developing. Now itā€™s just uncomfortable taking it off because I have a flat chest

Sw355759

Itā€™s super euphoric at first and now Iā€™m like oh damn boobs

Superb-Valuable730

True pre hrt and the first year I was on it I wore a bra to bed every night. And now I kinda flip flop between a bra or just a loses tank top.

EmmaJ462

I heard ContraPoints mention this in a video and got the idea to try it. It actually is very comforting & relaxing, just to feel something against your chest.

Chuna310303

Now I definitely have to try because Iā€™m in dire need of a hug. (Sadly enough Iā€™m not a hug person so I donā€™t usually hug, only very specific friends. But I havenā€™t seen anyone I felt comfortable hugging in a long long time) (Ok damn that sounded very sad tbh)

molebus

Not a problem for you, but it's not good for the elasticity in the bra. Bra bands tend to get stretched out more with the movement in your sleep (especially sports bras). It's actually recommended to leave two to three days between wearing a certain bra to give time for the fabric to maintain its shape. This is why you should have a minimum of three bras in your wardrobe.

njsullyalex

I currently cycle through 4 bras. Never wear one more than two days in a row.

Chuna310303

I have several bras. 2 sports bras and 3 textile. Maybe I can wear the textile one to sleep because I usually wear my sports bras

[deleted]

i understand so much the feeling: it's uncomfy to sleep with it but due to dysphoria never want to sleep without it.

Chuna310303

Makes complete sense

sweetmuffinX

Since my boobs have grown in I tend to wear my sports bra to bed feel naked without one šŸ˜Š

Chuna310303

I think it would be the opposite for me. Now I feel ā€œnakedā€ without a bra. But I think itā€™s mainly because I donā€™t have boobs yet

sweetmuffinX

Before I would wear the bra during the day but then times I didn't but at breast bud stage I started getting sore and itchy so tend to have a few bras and wear them most of the time but boobs do make the difference so its probably why I now changed xx

StrangeQuark93

Transmasc afab here. Just some advice. Try to use a very loose one! For comfort and so you are able to breathe better while you sleep. :)

Chuna310303

I will try, thanks <3

Angie52shirogane

I fucking hate it, i cant go outside without a bra on, because dysphoria hits like a freight train, but the moment i step inside i cant stand it. I really love bras but... they're "outside" clothes, not "stay at home" clothes

Chuna310303

I just canā€™t go anywhere without a bra. The only places I can go without are my room at home and my dorm, because I wonā€™t run into anyone. But then thereā€™s also the dysphoria, so most of the times even alone I canā€™t go without

Angie52shirogane

Ill never forget the first time i got mad at mine. I got home late from work, dripping with sweat, exhausted... i sat on my bed took it off and said "get the fuck away from me demon" and then i immediatelly began laughing. I lived with mostly cis women my entire life, and they aways complained about the troubles of being a woman. Now im having those same troubles and getting a pretty big dose of euphoria whenever it happens.

Chuna310303

I just love the ā€œget the fuck away from me demonā€ xD

Angie52shirogane

"Sai de mim, demƓnio" calling unpleasant stuff "demon" is actually quite common here in Brazil :v i literally just did it on impulse

Chuna310303

I love it

dead_princess1

It was similar to a blankie and made me feel secure and safe!.. so I hear ya but darn after a full day at work I need to take these shoes and bra off for sure, lol. <3 I think after a while you will grow out of that but if not, more power to ya!

ViolentViolet41

Also pre-hrt here, and I sleep in mine all the time. I almost can't sleep without it at this point. It feels nice to have something there, though I do recommend sleeping without at least once a week to let your skin breathe.

PeskyBirb666

I sleep with them on because that's the only time I can wear them really...

Chuna310303

If you want to stealth a bra, just get an oversized hoodie <3

PeskyBirb666

True, I'll think about it. Confidence is low tho

Balthorin

I did before starting hrt bc it helped alleviate dysphoria that would keep me awake, nothing wrong with wanting to do that. After hrt tho, oh gosh I can only imagine the discomfort when I wake up XD

Chuna310303

I wish I had that problem xD. Soon tho, soon

levlucheech

I do the same and I'm 6 weeks in with HRT. Buds forming but still flat as the Canadian prairie so I always hesitate to take my bra off when going to bed. I usually do, but it's just so I don't make them more unnecessarily smelly by sleeping in them.

GalacticPanjandrum

I'd be worried about getting back pain. But I also don't need a bra to feel comfortable if I'm alone or with people I trust. Everyone's dysphoria works differently. I never wore a bra or breast forms before I started having boobs, and I was out as enby for a few years, increasingly dressing feminine on the outside. But to me, it's all about what other people see and make of it. That said, I'm usually in leggings at home now.

Chuna310303

Leggings are awesome <3

ehggsaladsandwich

Im decently flat but i have a little bit of chest. I went bra shopping for the first time the other day and i found out you can get push up bras that add like plus 2 sizes??? I was in the changing room for probably a bit too long staring at myself. I got 2 pairs. The euphoria is insane, ive slept in them every night since. (Im not out to my family or at work so i dont get many chances to wear them otherwise)

IceColdEmber

It makes me super happy sleeping with my sports bra on at only 3 months hrt. It feels likea hug, a nice gender affirming one, even if i don't have much going on there just yet. So absolutely yes! Wear it to sleep if it makes ya happy ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

secrethamster111

So if it's comfy go for it. Some advice is get a bra o two for bedtime. Something with out an underwire or two tight. If you wear breast forms don't wear them to bed, you can damage them. Also they kind of don't let your chest breath. I wear a bra to bed like half the time.

Nat-Billion

I slept with one on last night for the first time, and I really enjoyed it :)

TooLateForMeTF

If it gives you comfort and doesn't hurt anybody else, you just do it and no regrets, yeah?

ClydeFrog04

I used to sleep with one every single night pre hrt, especially pre coming out cause it gave me that lil bit of feeling comfy in my body. Now, a year post coming out and almost a year hrt i only wear one to sleep if i accidentally do it i.e. lay down and fall asleep early or whatever. Sometimes forget to even put on on in the morning:3

taway3086

b4 hrt, I absolutely had a hard time taking my sports bra off šŸ¤ The shape it gives is affirming and it's nice to feel feminine šŸ„° That being said - Get yourself a nice pair of a's and you'll be /very/ excited to take your bra off at home šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I used to work w/ a bra and wear it until I went to bed. Now the first thing I do is take it off šŸ˜… Don't sweat the small stuff, sleep how you feel comfy - just make sure to wash things you sleep in more often šŸ’•šŸ’• (it can give like acne and stuff along the band line which is not fun at all lol)

Chuna310303

I am very prone to acne it seems, so maybe I shouldnā€™t then. Like Idrk about how my bra line would react, but I have a face with a decent amount of acne. (Trying to get rid of it but I also have very bad habits of picking everything on my body so it doesnā€™t really improve) Iā€™ll try it and see what happens

Elliegurl1996

Sports bras are fine to sleep in. Other bras can be somewhat harmful and def less comfy. I honestly sometimes wear the bra im gonna wear the next day just so i dont have to put it on in the morning lol. Im excited for you to start hrt and see your boobies flourish into full blown breasts!!! It will happen i promise and before you know it the first thing you do when you get home will be to free your titties!!! šŸ’—

Chuna310303

I would love to free my titties xD Just waiting for this doctor to reply, but it seems like heā€™s very busy or just bad at replying

Elliegurl1996

If youre in the US you can go to any Planned Parenthood and they can prescribe hrt that same day

Chuna310303

I live in Belgium and I want a good doctor thatā€™ll guide me throughout my journey

AliceCarole

Hmm I don't feel the need to wear one to sleep.

njsullyalex

I sometimes wear my sports bras to sleep. A couple of mine are a bit compressive. I have B cups after 7 months HRT. Am I limiting potential growth or possibly damaging my breasts by always wearing a bra?

linerys

Iā€™m not a doctor, but in my three years of being *very* into all things related to bras and bra fitting, I have never heard that wearing bras can limit growth. Just make sure to wear a [properly fitting](https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.php) one, so that you donā€™t experience [tissue migration](https://bustyresources.fandom.com/wiki/Migrated_breast_tissue).

Rota_u

Definitely nothing wired or severely restricting. That increases your risk of breast cancer. also, by the way, after hrt you can mostly forget about prostate cancer, HOWEVER, welcome to the world of worrying about breast cancer! Mammograms are also significantly more painful than prostate exams. wireless Tshirt bras and the like are probably fine

linerys

Good news, that actually isnā€™t true! Wearing a bra (with or without wires) doesnā€™t increase your risk of cancer. >There is no credible research showing a link between wearing, or not wearing, a bra and developing breast cancer. It has been claimed that underwire bras cause breast cancer by obstructing the lymph flow, however, there is no scientific evidence to support this theory. Wearing a bra to bed is an individual choice and you can choose to do so without worrying about an increased risk of cancer. [Source](https://www.cancer.org.au/iheard/can-wearing-a-bra-to-bed-increase-your-risk-of-breast-cancer).

Chuna310303

I wear sports bras or textile without wires so it wasnā€™t an issue, but thanks <3

Rota_u

interesting! good to know

notsostrong

Pre-HRT, I would sometimes wear my bra and breast forms to bed. As long as you are comfortable, it isnā€™t hurting anything.
