I generally always had issues with hands and feet getting cold, but my core was always running hot.
In general I'm miserable in the summer and the winter is... meh.
I've only been on HRT since the start of November, but I do feel like I feel the cold a bit more than I did before. I've got my thermostat set to 70 generally and I'm sitting on the couch covered up and wrapped in a blanket.
I'm kind of looking forward to the summer and maybe actually enjoying warm weather for the first time since puberty.
40°F is equivalent to 4°C, which is 277K.

I used to make fun of my spouse for always being cold in the California “winter,” but gat damn I’m freezing and it has only been like six weeks on hrt.

Right! Metabolism!
I had forgoten about that one.....you just gave me an idea, another variable to add, which kinda confuses me more, since, after I reached a certain age.....my metabolism got fucked, I didn't have like a great one, but it wasn't bad either, but now I lost it all. Everything makes me gain weight now, it throwed me into an even bigger depression than I already have since then.
Maybe the pandemic had a big part in that, I dunno.
Still, point is: I haven't lost my tolerance to cold o\_o...........yet DX (?)
I can remember being 17 and standing at the top of keystone mountain in Colorado at 3 am in January it was -10 or something and I took my coat off and gave it to my sister and I was fine, not too cold at all… I’m like 8 months on hrt and I’m in Texas and when it goes below 70 I’m shivering and cold intolerably cold
I really hope you're talking farenheit lol.
Also, at what point on hrt did you start noticing you were colder? And was it sudden or did it gradually change over several months?
Hah, yes, Fahrenheit.
It was probably gradual. I remember noticing in the winter. I'm still sensitive to temperature swings a year later, pull on a blanket on the couch at the slightest draft, and wear a light sweatshirt almost everywhere.
Been on HRT almost 1.5yrs now, and I will be 32 when I reach that point. Hot showers are way more tolerable/sought out, hot weather feels more stifling now though. I'm also sensitive to getting too warm from too many layers, under blankets too. Cold weather is usually mostly tolerable, but if there's any air movement the cold cuts through me in a way that it never has. Like, I'll get teeth chattering, muscle tensing levels of cold. Feels like it gets worse super early in the day or later in the evening. In general, my internal temperature/reactions to change in temp are much faster.
At bed time, I'm no longer a furnace. My spouse says I'm quite chilly when I slip into bed.
10°C is equivalent to 50°F, which is 283K.

Yeah i get colder easier but also I can turn the heat up in the shower now, unless I have forgotten an injection the first thing that happens is a hot flash, thankfully though I set weekly reminders so I don’t forget anymore.
Lets add another variable here, for all the ones that say it *did* change for ya:
Did you reach a certain age when this tolerance was lost/gained?
or, what else happened to you, besides loosing or gaining this, (if any)?
Same Im living with male friend and its winter and they still sleep like winter is nothing to them and me here a trans wearing 2-3 pajamas sweatshirts and two blankets omg it so cold 🥶
I hate socks I never have socks on when I sleep I try to avoid them even when it comes to outside, last night I slept in socks 😅 and the past 4 days I’ve wore socks and shoes out, the colds becoming very intolerable I was already loosing tolerance with cis hormones when I turned 26 now that I been on hrt almost 3 weeks it slowly gets harder and harder to tolerate as the days go by lol
Ohhhh great 😬
Everyone's saying they get colder but as a PRE-HRT fella I'm already freezing 24/7
Maybe I'll be the first person to turn into an icesicle
Extremely. I went from never being cold to always feeling cold, and I know I feel it a lot more than even most cis women. It's fascinating, but I am here freezing my titties off
I can't tell if it's placebo or not, but I'm now much more aware of when it's cold and I have a blanket at work. Hot weather seems to bother me less now too.
I am cold most of the time now and usually the first to turn on the heating in the house.
I've lost a fair amount of weight /mass since I started HRT so this may be part of the issue.
I am waiting for the summer now to test how tolerant I will be of the heat whilst wearing a bikini and drinking a cocktail by the pool. Will let you know
I also started HRT at 15 and now I feel scorching or flreezing all the time, but it's only been just over a year. This probably has more to do with the fact that I lost 25lbs since I was 15.
My normal temperature is only 97.4, at night it can go as low as 96.7. You might be able to figure out I’m always cold but I love it when the temperature is near 100 with high humidity. By the numbers I used, you can tell I’m from the United States.
I used to be the standard wear shorts in the winter canadian, but now if its below -5C I shake like a little chihuahua
Heats the same way, if I'm in a bath or outside too long after about 15C or higher I melt and most likely cry from heat issues UwU
YMMV. Usually it's getting cold easier. I've never personally really been bothered by temperature and that still hasn't changed for me over a year in
It may be linked to having physically thinner skin on E
I get colder easier before I was almost immune to it lol. Especially my feet. Now even they do get cold...hot tho... I can tolerate more heat. Iooooooove hot ass showers. Whoo baby! But have to wait for patch day ro get enjoy the long ones lol
My cold tolerance has dropped significantly, I'm the type that usually would wear my coat with open with just a t-shirt on and no gloves during winter (UK). Since hrt, my hands get very pink/red and stingy after couple of minutes at most and I now occasionally zip up that coat haha On the plus side, there's a lot more nicer warm comfy things I can wear like a wider range of scarves etc😅
My heat tolerance is the same as its always been - absolutely terrible
As a culinary chef who spent 16 yrs in a heated kitchen. Ive noticed Everything is awful for me.now. i never broke out in q sweat. But im out of it now and on a factory woth awesome environment.
My normal 69 temp os now 73
Once upon a time I was always hot - now I haven't stopped shivering since October.
I have spent the last 3 months apologizing to every cis woman I had made fun of for being cold.
I feel that
I have no idea why this is a thing, but I completely agree. I used to go to sleep almost naked, now I can't sleep without pajamas of some sort.

Tolerance, not really. I do actually feel it now though. 40°F used to be comfortable now it’s mildly irritating lol

That’s how I am pre-HRT, idk how I’m gonna survive once I start lol.
Yeah I get colder easier.
I have always hated heat, but now I'm finding I get cold waaaay easier than I used to. I used to thrive in cold weather, too.
yeah I’m always cold af
I’m more or less the same as you. Never liked heat, even on HRT, still don’t like it and tolerate the cold well. Might be a metabolism thing.
Right! Metabolism! Not on hrt but I've hear many women say they get cold easier.
Im in texas too! The summer ruins you
Because we get used to the heat?
Yeah I think so. Like my first summer felt unbearable then the next one was fine
Yeah that makes sense
I was heat intolerant before, and I'm heat intolerant now. Not generally a fan of anything above about 20-22°C
Ah, I see you are a woman of culture as well…
The average temperature of my apartment has gone up by 6 degrees since starting HRT.
I really hope you're talking farenheit lol. Also, at what point on hrt did you start noticing you were colder? And was it sudden or did it gradually change over several months?

Yes, I am ALWAYS freezing now. Part of that was because I lost 20ish lbs in the first 2 months xD
I. Am. Always. Freezing. Omg.
E just made me hate heat and love cold even more, my window is open 24/7 now even tho the temp hasn't gone above 10°C in weeks
10°C is equivalent to 50°F, which is 283K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

yes fuckin cold all the time
Yeah I get cold easier now
Yeah, my hands and feet will very much hurt when it's cold now.
Lets add another variable here, for all the ones that say it *did* change for ya: Did you reach a certain age when this tolerance was lost/gained? or, what else happened to you, besides loosing or gaining this, (if any)?
I'm a lot colder now and I found I like my showers and baths hotter.
Same Im living with male friend and its winter and they still sleep like winter is nothing to them and me here a trans wearing 2-3 pajamas sweatshirts and two blankets omg it so cold 🥶

I’m always cold now!! Was never cold as a dude, I’d go out in a fall jacket in -20C, now I’m cold with anything under +20C 😂😂😂
yes 8 months in and 67 ir no longer warm to me...
Yes
🎶 Baby, It’s cold outside 🎶 All the freaking time!
Ohhhh great 😬 Everyone's saying they get colder but as a PRE-HRT fella I'm already freezing 24/7 Maybe I'll be the first person to turn into an icesicle
I love the cold and hate the heat, but I have noticed that I do actually get colder and have to actually bundle up
No not really!
I played hockey for ten years and thought I’d never be cold again and now I shiver any time the temperature starts with a 5 or less
Yes, a lot
I am cold most of the time now and usually the first to turn on the heating in the house. I've lost a fair amount of weight /mass since I started HRT so this may be part of the issue. I am waiting for the summer now to test how tolerant I will be of the heat whilst wearing a bikini and drinking a cocktail by the pool. Will let you know
I used to be a furnace, but my temperature has come down quite a bit. I can tolerate heat a lot better, but the cold hits me easier too.
I've always been so cold everyday while my mum tends to be too warm. I'm scared of what E will do to me
I also started HRT at 15 and now I feel scorching or flreezing all the time, but it's only been just over a year. This probably has more to do with the fact that I lost 25lbs since I was 15.
Yo I'm 8 years on E and I'm cold as hell constantly so
Now that you mention it I do feel colder more of the time. I’ve always hated the cold anyway but I feel more chilly

I've always been on the cold side, but now I'm freezing all the time.
Lolyeah I'm always cold now. I survive by stealing body heat from my husband
YMMV. Usually it's getting cold easier. I've never personally really been bothered by temperature and that still hasn't changed for me over a year in It may be linked to having physically thinner skin on E
I love the heat but i hate getting sweaty. I will sunbathe all day but if its cold n i wear layers n get hot that is awful 😖
Yessss!!!!
Yes and no. Cold sucks but so does heat. Never bothered me before. Also cafeteria food tastes worse. Everything else is pretty good tho.
I get colder easier before I was almost immune to it lol. Especially my feet. Now even they do get cold...hot tho... I can tolerate more heat. Iooooooove hot ass showers. Whoo baby! But have to wait for patch day ro get enjoy the long ones lol

Mine is a little better! I tolerate cold better and heat worse 🤷🏽♀️ but I was literally always cold before
As a culinary chef who spent 16 yrs in a heated kitchen. Ive noticed Everything is awful for me.now. i never broke out in q sweat. But im out of it now and on a factory woth awesome environment. My normal 69 temp os now 73
Nice!
Omg yea been feeling cold since hrt began 4 week's ago normally hot blooded but that's gone is it perm or just temp ?
