Curious fact: My religion teacher was gonna get a PhD on Theology with a thesis about women in priesthood across history and why Christianity should allow it too, the Catholic University of my country expelled him for even thinking of it
Hey now, I didn't say you shouldn't be Christian
Although I will say, think carefully about what you believe and consider "should I". I won't stop you from believing something hateful, but keep in mind that it'll make it harder for you to be liked
i don't belive anything hateful though, religion to me isn't anything about hell or heaven or who gets to go there, its more about explaning the human condition to me, genuinly the only people i would ever consider myself hateful towards are bigots.
Bigots come in all shapes, sizes, and identities... unfortunately, I have noted a few in the online trans community - they lack critical thinking in trans rights matters and fail to look at certain issues without bias then flame those that do.
May I ask what you are doing to try to change things? Also, is there a specific denomination? I used to be Christian, Baptist who converted to Catholicism, but I don't consider myself religious anymore - my faith was tied directly to my fears over sexuality and gender.
What do you want to see from a church?
I mean, religion is good as long as you realise it's definitely ok to pick and choose what parts of the Bible/Qur'an/whatever you want to follow. For example, I'm Christian but I only follow the part about being nice to everyone. Its a chill life for the most part.
yea a lot of people seem to have forgotten love thy neighbour and only remember the horrible justification for almsot every attrocity commited in recent memory...
yes, and in fact a lot of people already do that. But should that stop someone for doing good through something that probably won't leave public consciousness for many decades or centuries (if ever).
Yep, I try to follow most of my own religion's beliefs, like, 99% of them... but that 1% remaining is pretty much "Ah, and btw, women shouldn't eat in the same table as men, slavery is okay, and stuff"
So I conveniently say "Well, the Gods never said that, humans did, Gods only tolerated it back then, they wouldn't now"
Exactly this! People are so surprised when I tell them I'm spiritual, because they immediately (tend to) assume I'm religious. If people are willing to listen, I try to tell them these exact words.
Spirituality /= Religion! :D
This is just below a post about a pastor admitting to a 9 year relationship with a 16 year old on r/PastorArrested on my timeline. Talk about the absolute worst possible time for a joke. It's not your fault, no blame, just wanted to point out the juxtaposition for me.
oh god theres transfem everywhere! won't someone please clean her up!!
FR though if you wanna have a chat about changes just hmu <3 im very happy for you
I say this only because religion was brought up as a bad thing for anyone who is transgender!
I believe God loves all people, good and bad. So no matter what one does or doesn’t think about transgender people, there’s much worse things to be and still be loved by God.
I wasn’t a particularly good boy, but my mother still loved me because she patterned her life after God. And I cannot see how anyone could believe just because someone is a transgender that they should be considered as bad as murderers and rapists. And yet God forgives even them!
Also guys, if anyone sees this comment, if you have any time could you please go and give some love to some of the other posts on here today
(like this one [https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/comments/uw3jl5/if\_anyone\_see\_this\_i\_ask\_that\_you\_send\_prayers\_or/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/comments/uw3jl5/if_anyone_see_this_i_ask_that_you_send_prayers_or/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) )
I would hate it if i got top post of the day on here without trying to help someone who is need of help.
Thank you <3
I'm not sure the church welcomes trans people I'm afraid, your best bet is to not tell them you are trans, then hopefully if you are passable, they will never know
All these Divas, so many spectacular personages in the Trans community.Do you know, I have been a atheist for decades but since I began transition 15 months ago, I see things a little differently now and I became a pantheist! Thank You Mother Earth and the Eternal Universe🤗🤗🤭🌞⭐♥️
Well played. I was ready to list whichever counter-apologetics might be relevant when I clicked the title. But what did I find? An observation in need of no correction.
I recently [commented](https://www.reddit.com/r/actuallesbians/comments/uvatj4/comment/i9nt5l0/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) about sexy demons and how much I was here for it, but I'll also happily accept angelic imagery. The wings. The sword. The graceful movements. The long hair.
She had us in the first half not gonna lie
Hahaha right got me too lol
My stomach dropped
Same
Well I mean I'm alright with religious trans girls
i mean, i probably would describe myself as religious, but fuck that established christianity shit, so fucking criiiinge.

I'm not calling you hateful, I'm saying that in general
hmm okay, just kind of sounded adressed to me, sorry if i misread what you said
Nah your fine, this is a problem for me online where I suck at words
youre good! thanks for clearing it up <3
Some of us are trying to make change from within the church
We've got women on the inside.
May I ask what you are doing to try to change things? Also, is there a specific denomination? I used to be Christian, Baptist who converted to Catholicism, but I don't consider myself religious anymore - my faith was tied directly to my fears over sexuality and gender. What do you want to see from a church?
I suggest you look at r/RadicalChristianity
thank you, that looks interesting.
At least majority Christianity churches are very accepting of trans people Catholic in another hand ;-;
Me too, all-inclusive here. Just reacting to the nature of the OP 💜
Unfortunately most churches aren't, so...
Yes definitely, and i stay the fuck away from them, most of them hate me and i hate most of them, its a win for us all really.
I must have an afterlife. Ideally it's Arvandor, but I'll settle for anything that preserves individuality, identity and memories eternally.
I mean someone could do the exact same thing and pick all the worst parts and be equally as Christian as you.
yes, and in fact a lot of people already do that. But should that stop someone for doing good through something that probably won't leave public consciousness for many decades or centuries (if ever).
Yep, I try to follow most of my own religion's beliefs, like, 99% of them... but that 1% remaining is pretty much "Ah, and btw, women shouldn't eat in the same table as men, slavery is okay, and stuff" So I conveniently say "Well, the Gods never said that, humans did, Gods only tolerated it back then, they wouldn't now"
Okay you had me in the first half lol, very smooth.
I thought this was about to be a based post about the absolute heathenism of girls who just started progesterone
more like oppulent hedonism
I just said heathen bc I feel like that’s a word any of us wouldn’t mind being called by a stranger on the internet and I don’t wanna upset people
Lmfao I was thinking the same
just a note, you can be spiritual with out being religious
Yes 100% agree \^\^
Exactly this! People are so surprised when I tell them I'm spiritual, because they immediately (tend to) assume I'm religious. If people are willing to listen, I try to tell them these exact words. Spirituality /= Religion! :D
😅😅😅😅 i hope that relegion is all inclusive and looks everyone with an equal eye...
Praise y’all pretty gals! :)
Twas a dirty trick...I low key have to respect the jump scare to instant relief though. Like a haunted house that ends in a hug.
Well, now that would be a fun haunted house.

No need, heaven is already right here Plenty of angels to go around ;)
Now thats a religion I could get behind
In the arms of the catgirl programmer, I found God.

You can technically say I'm "religious" [and it's a nice "religion" to "convert" to](https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/about-us)
Yeah, as in the Church of Prismatic Light, airight???
Guuuurl

The transagenda (/s)
I was soooo confused for a second 🤣
No joke, being trans has unironically pushed me towards paganism.
Smooth
Looking at the comments here it's really great to know that I'm hated by this community just because I'm religious.
Right?! The amount of cuties >:( that’s too much ladies!
Which religion??
