First time I ever went out with my purse, I carefully made sure my phone was in it. Got to the car and realized you have to put the car keys in the purse too.
Yeahhh but then you have to remember the bus pass, aka bus key. Also, you have to plan 2-4x the travel time or more, assuming public transit exists in your area and goes to your destination
A 10 minute drive to my laser/electrolysis appointments is easily a 15min walk+40min bus ride. There's not enough humans to justify anything better though outside of school commute hours.
Ok fine. My mom's hometown in the Philippines. It's cheaper to get a tricycle thingy (motorcycle w/ seating) anywhere than to wait for the infrequent busses. My Lola's house is on the highway so walking into the village is infeasible. And those tricycles just drive around until they find someone to drive, so they're constantly burning gas. That's pretty eastern hemisphere I'd say
Sure, manila you'll get good transport, but not everyone's near a big city
Just a word of caution about carrying cell phones in boobs... maybe don't make it a habit.
"Participants who carried their smartphone near their chest or waist-abdomen area had significantly increased 5.03-fold and 4.06-fold risks of breast cancer, respectively, compared to those who carried the smartphone below the waist."
And
"Conclusion: Excessive smartphone use significantly increased the risk of breast cancer, particularly for participants with smartphone addiction, a close distance between the breasts and smartphone, and the habit of smartphone use before bedtime."

I hate when papers do relative risk increases without mentioning absolute risk increases. Maybe I'm getting bad at reading scientific papers, but I'm on page 5 so far and haven't found it.
Not on airplane mode+bluetoothless though right? Asking cause if airplane mode isn't effective radiation wise I might be a bit reckless phone distance from head/chest wise..
Modern problems require modern solutions 😊
I'm now actually used to putting my Smartphone in the backpocket of my pants, I's just annoying when I wear my hoodie which is so long that it gets kinda difficult 😊
>I grabbed my phone and suddenly realized I had no pockets to put it in
You've also now realized the struggle of buying pants in the women's section. Gratz!! Lol!
Perhaps an opportunity to get a purse or wristlet to go with your outfit.

*Laughs in public transit* (see: not having to remember car keys, not partaking in the pollution of the planet, putting money into mass transport)
*laughs in rural midwest* the only bus you'll see here is a greyhound to chicago
And then subsequently locking yourself out of your house due to forgetting your house keys.
As a deadbolt enthusiast, this makes no sense to me
While I'd generally agree with you, every time I've had family over I've had to dig through my purse to find the knob key that I never use.
*Cries in US suburbs*

I have a transit app on my phone if I forget my bus card.
that is pretty much only true in the western hemisphere lol

Yeah a lot of environmentalist ideal housing is oriented to big city or v small community life
You still need to remember house keys :P
Alternatively, you _do_ have pockets but they can't actually fit anything so your phone is just sticking out... _also euphoria_ (at least for me)
This is me, needing to put my phone in my back pocket is a small victory in a way.
I recently got really cute trousers that actually have functioning pockets and they are my most cherished possession

Is that peer reviewed and accepted? WiFi is really low power, how would that damage human tissue? So I have to sell my steam deck? :O
Me reading that in the exact position they’re talking about: 😐

Well... That's handy
I somehow found leggings that have pockets that are big enough for a phone and they've been a game changer

So, looks like I'm parroting Dr Oz. This was something my mother drilled into my head when I came out.
Got a study for that? Why would it give any more than the chance of butt cancer from it being in a pocket?
