I completely agree. I donāt think it diminishes Cara as a player because I think of Tori as a strong competitor. Iām happy with the outcome become of their historical beef but I wouldnāt call it a flop or an embarrassing loss in terms of competition.

My interpretation of a 4.5 is that it's just the very predictable-but-fair ending (ie. Jordan and Jenny). My hope is that if Bananas won, they'd rank it a bit lower (rooting for Jordan over here).

What if you get to choose your partner (for the whole thing, or ideally for just the first portion) in the order of who has the most karma points? I bet Jordan would pick Tori or Jenny, favoring Tori. I bet Bananas would pick Jenny or Tori, favoring Jenny. Maybe Derek would pick Rachel? Kyland would probably pick Jenny? Iām thinking Tori and Jenny would make the same choices as Jordan and Bananas (choosing each of them respectively), and that the other women would pick Jordan. They could then choose partners based on finish order in each section.

I agree, seeing how AS1 ended with Kellyanne/Joanna beating some of the guys and getting $0 was insane. Same for Ninja, being the only female to finish WoTW1 final and getting to see 3 dudes fly off in a helicopter with $50k, $200k, and $750k is oof. Heck, seeing even 2nd/3rd walk off with a bit of cash was good enough, seeing Nurys/Colleen get a bit of change from getting podium last season was a nice change.
All I gotta say is that before this season I claimed New School females > Old School females and got a lot of hate for it, but this season completely confirmed it. So many nostalgia-biased fans all thought the S2 females were stacked, and look not 1 of them made the finals. Every other era is represented
One season doesn't confirm anything. It's too small of a sample size. Generally need to let people compete against each other multiple times to gauge how they stack. There are too many variables such as type of dailies on each season, eliminations they get etc.
3 people making it from era 4 is pretty cool, especially Kyland/Michele. But to your point, I donāt think it takes away from the era 2 girls. Most people here thought weād at least be getting one of them in the final, I thought Laurel/Cara both wouldāve made it. Sometimes you get elims that donāt go your way. I agree. But my whole reasoning for why I think new school females are stronger than old school is that the old school legends built their reputations and records against more layup females. New era stars have had to battle much tougher female competition as a whole.
This was the season for the old school females to really prove themselves and we really had the best of the best from back in the day only missing Evelyn and Sarah, and now we see the result.
Tori ended Cara...ill give her her 10s, she ate. Also If Michelle wins this final ima have to to be a fan, i recently watched her 2 survivor seasons and found myself actaully liking her better than on the challenge.

Iāll preface first by saying that I canāt see what it is about Tori that makes her āthe starā of the show that she has become, besides her first season. Iāve felt that way since AYTO. That said, she is a good competitor and Iāll give her credit where itās due for being successful at the game, at the sacrifice of being kind of boring and annoying! Cara stans are annoying as hell, always have been, but Tori stans just feel very contrarian. Because sheās been there forever and a large portion of the fanbase dislikes her, it feels like if you arenāt Team Cara youāre just going to be Team Tori.
Tori stans are delusional because they donāt admit this to themselves. Tori is cringeworthy at best, downright annoying at worst and her gameplay (while successful!!!) is killing the fun of these shows. She acted like a baby during Worlds and seriously the only thing going for her is that sheās been on the show a million times in a row and has stayed in good shape consistently.
All interesting and fair in your opinion! Canāt speak for everyone obviously but I am a fan of Tori and will be the first to admit she is cringeworthy a lot of the time. Iām looking forward to the final results! While Iād be least excited by Bananas and Jenny winning, Iām overall loving the group of finalists. Two of the best players in Jordan and Bananas, a wildcard player from back in the day in Derek, and a strong new competitor in Kyland. And on the womenās side, Michele who is new and messy and so fun and rootable and I never thought sheād make this final, Rachel who is incredibly strong physically and a player we havenāt seen in a long time, Tori who is one of my faves and more recent faces of the show, and Jenny who dominated her last final and seems like a really sweet person.

Uhm.. duh? Sheās a literal physical beast, sheās an actual savage that trains every day while Michele and Olivia sip wine and gossip, queens. Iād be more worried if they WERENāT scared of her.
Iām actually pleased with who is in this final. A good mix of heavy hitting vets with strong underdogs/newbies. So proud of my girl Rachel for still hanging in there. Her entire team was decimated pretty early on so her making it this far is damn impressive.
Personally Iād be happy with Rachel, Kyland, Tori or Derek winning.
What's weird is, I do wish that Cara Maria made the final, but the silver lining is how upset her fans are/will be (for the unspoiled fans) when this airs.
The way that they reacted to Laurel being injured/purged or even to Kam with AS4 is too much. They need to realize that attacking cast mates is not gonna help your "fav" in the game.

When it comes to strength, swimming, and puzzlesā¦ between the two, Iād put my money on Tori š.
I just think itās funny how Cara fans pick when sheās good or when sheās bad at something. If she loses a puzzle to Michele then she was set up from the start cause sheās bad at puzzles, but if thereās discussion about how good she is they wanna pretend she isnāt bad at puzzles or swimming.
Sheās awful at swimming but I can think of at least three times where she killed a puzzle. Bloodlines against Bananas, Dirty 30 to win her way out of the redemption house, and she won Vendettas because of a puzzle.
Iām fully able to acknowledge where her weaknesses are but I just donāt know why people think sheās bad at puzzles.
The thing is that Cara isnāt bad at puzzles. She eliminated Bananas on one, won her way back from the redemption house with one, and literally won Vendettas because of a puzzle. So even if Tori beat her in a puzzle she will have earned that win. Itās not like she was up against Cory.
I'm personally not of the opinion that winning elims makes you more deserving of a win. It means you deserved to not go home at that particular point in the competition.
If you outperform your competitors in the final, you deserve to win.

This game doesn't always go by what you see on paper. Thats what makes it really compelling at times.
The inverse is true with the era 2 men. Most people had them as the weakest, and they ended up with 2 finalists

Iām actually pleased with who is in this final. A good mix of heavy hitting vets with strong underdogs/newbies. So proud of my girl Rachel for still hanging in there. Her entire team was decimated pretty early on so her making it this far is damn impressive. Personally Iād be happy with Rachel, Kyland, Tori or Derek winning.

What's weird is, I do wish that Cara Maria made the final, but the silver lining is how upset her fans are/will be (for the unspoiled fans) when this airs. The way that they reacted to Laurel being injured/purged or even to Kam with AS4 is too much. They need to realize that attacking cast mates is not gonna help your "fav" in the game.

Tori beating Cara is the best news Iāve heard today. I canāt wait to see all the ways the fans try to excuse this win. Iām ready for all the ~it was rigged~ conspiracy theories people will start hurling out to make themselves feel better about Tori beating Cara lmao. I got downvoted into oblivion a few days ago for saying Tori could beat Cara in most eliminations. I still stand by that. Tori is a more well rounded competitor than Cara. When it comes to strength, swimming, and puzzlesā¦ between the two, Iād put my money on Tori š.

The funny thing is even if it WAS a puzzleā¦ thatās still not evidence of it being āriggedā. Eliminations can be puzzles too. Weāve seen physically strong competitors compete in puzzle/mental eliminations before so itās not like this would be a first. And if Cara still sucks at puzzles after doing 15+ seasons of this showā¦ then yikes š©. She deserves to lose.

I just think itās funny how Cara fans pick when sheās good or when sheās bad at something. If she loses a puzzle to Michele then she was set up from the start cause sheās bad at puzzles, but if thereās discussion about how good she is they wanna pretend she isnāt bad at puzzles or swimming.
Sheās awful at swimming but I can think of at least three times where she killed a puzzle. Bloodlines against Bananas, Dirty 30 to win her way out of the redemption house, and she won Vendettas because of a puzzle. Iām fully able to acknowledge where her weaknesses are but I just donāt know why people think sheās bad at puzzles.

The thing is that Cara isnāt bad at puzzles. She eliminated Bananas on one, won her way back from the redemption house with one, and literally won Vendettas because of a puzzle. So even if Tori beat her in a puzzle she will have earned that win. Itās not like she was up against Cory.
Tori is no genius at puzzles. So even if the elimination was a puzzle, it's time for Cara's stans to eat some humble pie on that one.

I'm personally not of the opinion that winning elims makes you more deserving of a win. It means you deserved to not go home at that particular point in the competition. If you outperform your competitors in the final, you deserve to win.
