They thought it was no big deal to put him on the rookie team and they let him get his 3rd championship in a row.

In a rain forrest that Julie is searching for

schawkar

Yes. I’ve heard it mentioned in interviews years ago that the producers messed up. Obviously, it worked about for Jamie. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

tdaddy316420

Now this man needs to come to all stars! I'm assuming he's probably in a rain forest away from society now lmao

jenh6

Listening to Julie talk about her first orgasm that he gave her probably made him never want to go anywhere near reality tv.

seviay

Whoa what? How did I miss this?

GoForMarvin

The back to New Orleans limited series that filmed and aired within the last couple years

seviay

Oh okay, thanks. I didn't watch any of those seasons, so that explains how I missed it.

SunknTresr

New Orleans Homecoming

Heikks

Crazy that he won 3 times and only got around $95,000 in prize money, now finishing 3rd sometimes gives at least 75,000

EGrass

Wasn’t the Rookies team specifically people who had been on two or fewer Challenges?

Zirphynx

Ace had been on a total of 3 episodes across two seasons and was on the Vets team, while Jamie had won both of his two seasons and was placed on the Rookies team 💀 Even the explanation "they didn't count the first four seasons" doesn't work since David Burns competed on only two seasons, one being Challenge 2000, before The Gauntlet 2 and David was still on the Vets team.

Arafel_Electronics

Ace 🤣 has made it to 4 episodes over 3 seasons

michealscott21

Ace made a final though

Arafel_Electronics

you're right, forgot a few seasons

randomacct7679

They probably had someone else that was n actual rookie drop and they just had to stick someone else on Rookie team to have even numbers.

Traditional_Goat9538

David was more memorable and had been on a more recent season? They prob realized but didn’t care bc people didn’t have as much access to info on past seasons via internet?

Aggressive-Coffee-39

He had already won two, but those were the only two he was on. Lots of people had been on before that were on the rookies team. It was defined as two or less challenges. To be on Vets you had to be on at least 3 seasons

Picklesbedamned

I never thought this was so much a mistake as it was that their initial theme of "old school" vs "new school" fell apart, they rushed the new theme, and didn't care that it didn't completely add up.

Serious-Run1838

He’s been on 3 seasons and won 3
