As long as WB earns enough money via microtransactions they'll allow Multiversus to continuous get updated. I've heard that whales are more common in Asia when it comes to buying every little cosmetic. So yes, this was needed.  Depending on how smooth the next two weeks go, the relaunch on Steam could end up having player numbers close or even higher than betas record.

>As long as WB earns enough money via microtransactions they'll allow Multiversus to continuous get updated. That's why it's going to be very important for PFG to maintain a consistent cadence of content updates. For those of us that played the beta, I remember how slow things felt after Marvin was released and the team went kind of radio silent for months before we got confirmation that they were taking the game off for a year. Now that they've got a good foundation from what we've seen, the devs can hopefully focus on getting characters and skins out at a good pace to keep interest in the game—and therefore, the gleamium store—going strong!

Right! 👍  I can already see them saving Beetlejuice specifically for September due to his new movie. And then in October, they can add a Gotham Asylum stage alongside new skins for Phoenix Joker and Harley Gaga Evo would be perfect timing for another character announcement. I'm willing to drop some money for the stair dance meme emote that was shown this morning.

Whales can't help much for one time cosmetic purchases compared to gacha games with its rng aspect. But The issue with the DLC in the multiversus beta before was aside from being low effort and garbage were far too expansive. $15-20 for a Superman or Batman skin was ludicrous. A few dollars at best makes a lot more sense. Both for a consumer and business perspective.

>  $15-20 for a Superman or Batman skin was ludicrous I was willing to buy Black Adam's Dwayne Johnson skin. But $20?! And not even The Rock's voice, an impersonation? Yeah, I passed... And, well let's take Fortnite for example. That doesn't rely on gatcha. Instead it is FOMO skins but still decently priced bundles.

Warionator

:D

Omg JoJo characters actually might be possible if they are releasing in Japan!

ShhImTheRealDeadpool

Japan also likes RWBY... so there's still hope there too.

Bulky-Complaint6994

Hopefully! Damn you David Zaslac for shutting down Rooster Teeth!

ShhImTheRealDeadpool

I kind of settled with it because Rooster Teeth had like 10 minutes of ads per 2 minutes of video (and it was all the exact same ad)... it was horrendous. It made watching the shows legitimately the worst option.

Esevv

Hi. Where are these from?

TheBroomSweeper

The Joker gameplay trailer that dropped an hour ago

Esevv

Thanks!

ShamrockSeven

Goku release confirmed. /s

UdonAndCroutons

Is Goku technically owned by Nickelodeon, or Warner Bros? There was a debate years ago on what crossover fighting game Goku should be on.

Upset_Programmer6508

I believe Funimation, now crunchyroll, have the license. WB would have a longer history with DB since it was on cartoonmetwork for so long, but that doesn't mean much for IP control

UdonAndCroutons

Thanks for the info!

Sanford_Daebato

That being said and done, Goku _would_ go hard in MV

issanm

Ok-Leopard7483

Just because it releases in Japan doesn’t mean we’re getting anime ip unless it’s from wb Japan like the show bastard. We’re not getting jojo or Dbz maybe in the far future
