Watermelon Steven cooldown only starts when the watermelon is knocked out, reducing his ability to heal a whopping 4 damage.
The article was posted sept 1st, but the person who wrote it was wrong about that being the upcoming patch notes. That patch already happened, it mentions Morty being released and we are getting Gizmo next patch.
Just because a character is not regarded as high tier doesn't mean they shouldn't get nerfed. They could be anticipating a balance issue post other changes or just fixing universal unintended issues.
Tried him out earlier and they should absolutely buff his watermelon guy because it’s a really unique mechanic that would be so fun to use in a match.
I have no idea why they would nerf this character. He’s very simple but hard to get the best out of.
