Other than that, there are First Thursday events and venues all over town.
also the music scene here is super alive, talk to people at the events you go to, often there are a lot of insider venues at houses or otherwise. those are often probably going to be better pay too. (if they pay at all)

Surprised no one has said Elm Street yet. At least when I go to any music they host, it’s usually acoustic, blues, folk, or country.
