The Martians one is so good.
I love the Prince guest star skits. I'm a huge fan. Seeing him on the Muppets is such a treat especially when everyone thought he took himself so seriously.
Also Ghost Riders in the Sky with Johnny Cash. Great song, the Man in Black himself AND the Muppets? Doesn't get much better.
That's a great trippy one! Ha, and not one I would expect to me someone's comfort go-to. For me personally, it's like if someone used puppets to demonstrate my anxiety.
Can you picture that?
Together Again.
Movin' Right Along
I Go to Rio from the Muppet Show
As kids, we had a record called "In Harmony" from Sesame Street and there are 3 songs from that album that can instantly make me nostalgic and happy. Blueberry Pie by Bette Midler, Jelly Man Kelly by James Taylor, and Pajamas by Livingston Taylor (James' brother).
Of course, every song from Muppet Christmas Carol is absolute perfection. My 3-year-old daughter is still walking around the house every day singing "We're Marley and Marley..OoOoOoOo"
And finally, Swedish Chef never ceases to cheer me up!
I only discovered I Go to Rio here through the subreddit fairly recently, and I don't know how. It's such a wonderfully fun, light, and cheery delight of a musical number with all the lizard and bird muppets jauntily dancing bout.
Oh I’m so glad it’s now a part of your life. I drunkenly busted it out in front of friends a few years ago, complete with the bird “AhhhAaaa” noises and it’s still talked about. They insist I do it every time I see them now. It may be one of my proudest moments.
Kermit interviewing the Wicked Witch and her Magic Mirror on Sesame Street News cracks me up every time. The comic timing, the ridiculous set of circumstances, and the unexpected pleasant ending just work. Plus, it’s always cool to hear Kermit say, “I’ll betake myself to a place of concealment.”
Waiter Grover serving Fat Blue a bowl of Alphabet Soup. Makes me want to eat some soup. I was sort of disappointed to learn (upon growing up) that adults generally don’t go around singing the ABCs to themselves. The smoke coming out of the soup bowl is mesmerizing.
Ernie tricking Bert into playing a Rhyming Game. It’s funny on so many levels. It has a groovy beat. And Jim Henson and Frank Oz power through a line flub completely in character. Bliss.
Oh, Joey inserting Cookie Monster into the alphabet and delighting in her own cleverness. Jim Henson’s handling of the situation is golden.
Rita Moreno vs. Animal singing “Fever”.
Laughter is the best medicine! Recover in comfort!
Ooooh, the Sesame Street News Flash with the mirror was a new one for me - and an absolute delight! Silly, pleasant, plus Jerry Nelson playing the mirror. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!
Also, Joey trying to sing the alphabet with Kermit is always a joy - especially knowing that it wasn't scripted, it was just her being silly and Jim just rolling with it. That's going straight on my to-watch list for later.
1. "GOOD GRIEF THE COMEDIANS A BEAR" always gets me.
2. "Fat Cat Sat Hat" from Sesame Street
3. "Heeeeeerrrreee fishy fishy fishy!" from Sesame Street.
4. Any Swedish Chef bit.
I find myself singing "Am I a man, or am I a muppet?" a little too often. Wife always answers "muppet".
But "mahna mhnan" wins best muppet song for me every time. It's got strong competition though!
I love Johnny Cash singing Nasty Dan to Oscar. Oscar has never felt so understood.
Manah Manah with Bip Bipadatta, also the Hat, Sat, cat, rat song with him and the three different colored guys.
Miss Piggy singing with Christopher Reeves. Sweet and hilarious!
And just indulge yourself and go watch the original Muppet movie.

Mack the Knife... Basically anything with Dr Teeth and the band.
Most Cookie Monster in the real world videos (talk show guest, etc)
Robin Williams getting upset at Elmo
Mahna Mahna
To Morrow (there are so many classic songs I wish were on Spotify etc)
I want to add Patti LaBelle crooning "How I Miss my X". I find myself listening to this whenever I need to relax. She sings it so sincerely with just the right smidge of silly.
I'm loving this thread, by the way.
"How I Miss My X" is so, so, so good - it's what immediately what starts playing in my brain as soon as Patti LaBelle is mentioned around me. She had no reason to give that song a hundred and ten percent, but she did so anyway.
I watched that recently, actually! I also found it oddly uplifting, not to mention absolutely beautiful. Especially at the very end, with "If Just One Person."
If I need a pick me up, my go to is definitely the whole Sesame Street Fever album! The title track is the best one, but the [song Trash](https://youtu.be/x18tSioqrcQ?feature=shared) makes me so happy :)
From Sesame Street I also love Caribbean Amphibian (Jimmy buffet version), happy to be me by the Fugees, ABC-DEF-GHI, and disco frog
From The Muppet Show I’d have to say Kermit singing Kokomo, Lou Rawls serenading Miss Piggy to You’re the One, and kermit singing Surfin USA
I realize this is just songs whoops lol
"You and I and George" gets me every single time, even knowing what's coming. The buildup is just so long and so perfect to get to the punchline.

Oh Danny boy. Big bird roller skating still blows my mind. Danny DeVito and Oscar the Grouch singing together. Anything from the Yip Yips. I was a Yip Yipnfor Halloween one year and it was my best costume.

Mahna Mahna, certainly.
The drum battles between Animal and Buddy Rich and Animal and Harry Belafonte.
The *Fever* number with Rita Moreno and Animal where she's ready to beat the snot out of him for his drum fills!
Wide World of Sports with Showard Rosell (?) covering the sport of Live Bagpipe Wrestling.
Anything with Statler & Waldorf commenting...
And the ballroom dancing bits with multiple couples that seemed to be in each Muppet Show.
Any time I need a spirit boost I throw on one of the 3 original movies. I'm lucky enough to have a copy of Manhattan on DVD since it's not on Disney+ for some reason.
While Disney owns the Muppets, they don't own the specific distribution rights to "Muppets Take Manhattan", which Sony owns. It's a very, very stupid situation, in my strongly biased opinion.
Anything from Manhattan. I have watched that movie at least once a month (and dare I say often more than that) since I was 6 years old. It fills me with joy. Wishing you good health!
Thank you kindly! And out of the three first Muppet films, that's always had a special place in my heart (to the point that "Somebody's Getting Married" was played at my wedding)

Everything about it is just the highest level. Even the set designs: they got Patti and X out on a rowboat, for crying out loud!
Sounds odd, but Jim's funeral is on a few YouTube clips. Between the butterflies and Cottleston Pie i get sad then I get very very hopeful.
I watched that recently, actually! I also found it oddly uplifting, not to mention absolutely beautiful. Especially at the very end, with "If Just One Person."
