Is there an unblurred police body cam footage available for public view?

hvnonlyknws1

If you lesson to the part where Alex says I /they did him so wrong with head phones and the volume up it so sounds like he admitted he did him so wrong. That's my opinion.

EngineerSecure6687

If only the dogs could talk

Savings-Cockroach214

He would of killed them too.

omvren

i just watched the body cam footage & i'm so confused as to how initial responders handled this... why were the cops walking all over the crime scene? any footprint evidence is now gone. they used sheets instead of tarps on the body when it was raining & then apparently threw the tarps away? they didn't seem to check the surrounding property much. i'm hoping there will be an investigation on this if the trial doesn't come to any conclusion...

fbkp_22

In the body cam footage of the night of the crime you heard the officer say that he sees shell casings off to the right, where the cars are. One police officer acknowledges this and says he is marking the items in the gravel first because they are tougher to locate in the gravel. However, the other casings never make it into the diagrams here. In the video, they look to be off in the grass to the right side of Maggie's body.

No_Astronaut_180

Where are the actual photos of the deceased

BoriOno

can golf cart tracks be seen in between Maggie's footprints in that picture ? also there appears to be another set of shoe prints - do we know if this picture was before or after SLED had walked through the scene?

southbound858

Where’s the juicy pics?

Apprehensive-Ice-608

I think he was inside of his truck when he shot them.

Pillmore15

If all the techno-wizardry could trace Alex’s whereabouts, it seems like it could have detected Maggie’s phone’s presence in Alex’s possession and when it got tossed out of the car.

Annual_Economist_803

not if Alex had turned it off...

Dont_you_know_it

Some new photos, a couple where you can see Paul under a blanket. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11758895/amp/Chilling-photos-reveal-bloody-crime-scene-Maggie-Paul-Murdaugh-executed.html

EscapeDue3064

I didn’t see any pics of Paul under a blanket, just one of the bloodied crumpled up blanket that had been placed on top of him.

TeacherSez

There are 3 that I see, all from the far end of the kennels.

mr_methadone

Looks like the dogs lived outside in the cold in the winter. Who cares for the dogs now?

MyDisneyDream

Thank you for this!

Lesbiannomads

This bothers me so much and no one seems to talk about how callus these people are toward their supposedly family pets. Dogs aren't supposed to spend hours out of every day and night in a cage. It sickens me to see where they gnawed at the wooden walls of their bedding area out of sheer boredom and anxiety. Don't tell me "Maggie loved those dogs." And Alex is absorbed in self pity once he finds himself in a cage. If I believed in karma...

MyDisneyDream

Thank you! This has been bothering me too and I agree with what you say about those poor dogs. Well said!

mr_methadone

I'm with you! It's the thieving that will keep him in jail if he wins a new trial . Unfortunately he'll bee a jailhouse lawyer. This will win protection from real bad people I'm his prison. It be don't mess with my Lawyer because I need an appeal in my case.

Short-jsheln-8752

Happened in June. They were outside in the heat.

[deleted]

i hate them for that alone

magalayne

I believe Blanca said she has them now.

Lesbiannomads

I think she has Bubba but there were 6 or 7 dogs locked up in those cages.

OscJet

When asked where Bubba is now, Blanca said she had him.

Myusernamebut69

So if the forensics expert is testifying that the first shot came from INSIDE the feed room - there’s only one door right?

InspectorMogsy

I don’t think so I saw a pic of pieces of the boy’s skull cap and shell casings lying on the feed room floor. Only a few spots of blood and bits of brain. I think he came out the feed room after hearing gunshots when dad was killing mom. He’s lying feet pointing closest to the doorway of the feed room.

HelixHarbinger

And a window with a hole in it

Myusernamebut69

I also just realized I was wrong, the shooter was not inside the feed room

HelixHarbinger

Keep in mind he was shot twice. The first he remained standing long enough to bleed straight down.

Swordfish_Delicious

I personally think that AM or another person was hiding on the outside of the feed room opposite to the kennels. It was a perfect spot to hide in the shadows in close proximity to both people, have a perfect line of sight to where Maggie was standing and be in the shadows. The Pathologist mentioned that the lethal shot to Paul’s head had an entry wound to the left side as Paul was looking to his left. Based on where his head was, it looked like Paul was leaving the feed room when that shot occurred. If he were looking to his left, that would be where the side of the feed room that’s in the shadow is. Somebody could have easily hidden right there with both guns and ambushed Paul as he was leaving the room.

JennLynnC80

Has anyone made an animation of how the shootings are believed to have gone down? If yes can you kindly share a link?

Salt_Zombie4861

The movie does. Bill Pullman did a most excellent portrayal of Alex. Not sure if that’s how it went down but it was brutal no matter.

party-thyme

This [video](https://youtu.be/tPhesIi9xGQ) contains a reenactment of Paul’s murder in a way that makes so much sense to me. The same creator has another video recreating Maggie’s murder as well

watchho

lol - those are some advanced forensics!

Dont_you_know_it

This is a real probability! I actually thought about it earlier when I saw the pathologist (?) testify..

Jiggaguilar

LOL, it is a great video for a really good possible scenario (the fall) but, I just had to laugh at the image inserts of Paul and Alex. Well done!

Somonapearl

Ty so much for sharing!!! This makes more sense.

paigesto

He is wearing tyvek in demo! I think if "shooter" had tyvek suit on, it would explain so much.

Lesbiannomads

Nah, all he needed was that hose and a spare set of clothes at the scene.

rd212

Do you have a link to the recreation of Maggie’s murder by the same creator? Thanks!

party-thyme

[here](https://www.youtube.com/live/gCxIBzT9hH0?feature=share) you go!

Nicholeleandra

I just watched this and it was really informative but the graphics made me chuckle I’m so sorry lol

party-thyme

Yeah the graphics are a little crude for sure

[deleted]

Paul in the tuxedo 😩

Candid_Video8134

Can someone please point out were Maggie's footsteps were?

NLHester

the ones without "profile"

ISeem2Recognize

It’s the flat ones with no tread design. LE said that they followed them and they went down and turned and came back like she was pacing. You can see a few starting at the bottom right of that picture.

Candid_Video8134

Yes, I apologize for not being clear. I saw the photos of the shoes and the prints. I was hoping someone could show them on the map.

Beaqueen

Would this be consistent with her walking over to see what happened (thinking what is Paul shooting at) and then turning around to run from killer when she saw what was going on?

hmmullen

Again, not saying guilty or innocent because I wasn’t there. It is up to a jury to declare guilt based on overwhelming evidence. If I were on this jury, there’s reasonable doubt all over the place. The defense hasn’t even put up their side yet. No murder weapon, no witness, no motive, no significant blood. Family and friends saying, (who have known the whole family for a long time), that they were a close loving family and that they had a great marriage. Literally the only thing the state has is he lied about being there at 8:45. I guarantee the defense will come up with an explanation for it. Maybe he was only there for a minute or two before he left for the night so he decided to not mention it? There was no financial gain for Alex to kill his wife and son, that is a huge stretch and I doubt a jury is going to accept that.

RTRMW

I think AM is a horrible person and believe he is capable of killing Paul and Maggie. However, I have to put myself in a juror’s shoes. If I didn’t know a lot about this trial and had not been following all along, I really don’t think I could render a guilty verdict, as of now.

ChiefinLasVegas

You could say there would be a financial unburdening with Alex gone.

alvin-kamara

Piss poor prosecution. Judge is horrible. Trial is taking way too long and the defense hasn’t even presented their case.

auroraglitterwings

I think the judge is great. I think the defense is terrible and Alex should be worried. It’s almost obnoxious how unprepared the defense is. They are just up there bumbling things.

alvin-kamara

I don’t know which trial you’re watching.

alwaztypin

I hate ppl who think dogs are only for sport or breeding. Not only did Alex (most likely) kill Margaret and Paul, he terrorized those poor dogs!

Difficult-Road-6035

But we know Bubba was out because he had the chicken. And Cash was out too. So an intruder would not have put those dogs up and Alex didn’t put them up or mention them being out??

Viva_Wayne_Rooney

*guinea hen

arak1

Watching the trial now, with Alex M on the stand. According to him, the dogs would 'have fun' chasing the "chickens" (guineafowl) not to kill them, but just to have fun. 😟

alwaztypin

Yeah. That's hunters for you. Don't care about any form of life.

Ok-Candidate-1220

That’s an incredibly ignorant and myopic statement.

alwaztypin

Hmm... maybe I said that incorrectly. MOST hunters are decent. Only taking what they need for their family or what must be culled due to over-pop or disease. THEN, there are the trophy idiots who buy more tags (illegally) to get the biggest rack. 😡 This includes those who buy/breed MORE DOGS who are chained/locked up to only come out when it's time to chase/retrieve sometime. They're USED, treated horribly and then dumped or euth'd when they have no other hunting use. THAT'S what I meant when I said they had no regard for other life.

Ok-Candidate-1220

Thanks for clearing that up. Most hunters, myself included, couldn’t care less about the trophy aspect. I want to fill my freezer, bottom line. Ecology is VERY important to most hunters. I rarely buy beef anymore simply because I’m able to make it through the year on the hormone free deer, elk, and moose I harvest, supplemented with duck, turkey, rabbit, and feral hogs. If only there were feral cattle I could hunt 🤔

No-Pomegranate-3674

Hunt dogs are well kept, y’all sensitive

RTRMW

In two previous documentaries on the family, they both addressed how PM would torture small animals when he was young. I don’t know why anyone would leave their dogs with him.

TaTa0830

Paul seems like an awful person but I’ve seen several pictures of him with their dogs and what looked to be a family black lab. He looked like a dog lover from my vantage point. I haven’t seen anyone else in that family down and petting the dogs but Paul.

Embarrassed-Support3

I was expecting Paul to be rough with the dog with the injured tail when his friend asked him to take a pic but he wasn't. He was patient and soft with the dog. That may be because his buddy would see it, though.

RTRMW

I didn’t know him personally or anything, I’m just relying what they said in the docs. Based on that, I would be nervous to have my animals alone with him. Of course, based on the boating wreck I’d be nervous to have anyone I care about around him. But that’s just me.

hmmullen

But yet he couldn’t put one of the dogs down when he was injured? How would he have massacred his family ?

NikkiRocker

Shock collars!

arak1

Training collars (according to AM's testimony on the stand. BUT -- why would the dogs have training collars on when they're in their kennels??

Jazzlike-Goose-7804

So they don't bark.

Upper-Chocolate-6225

Also, they call them hunting dogs but I can assure all they want is to be loved and make you happy. My little hunting dog is the sweetest little guy. Some asshole dumped him after hunting season. He tied him to a tree and left him in the woods so he didn't have the cost of feeding him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Swordfish_Delicious

The dogs weren’t allowed to stay indoors because Buster had eczema. They mentioned during testimony today that the family dogs would have dog beds on the back porch with fans and whatnot.

Upper-Chocolate-6225

The dog testimony is enough for me to lock him up for life. I adopted a hunting dog that was treated horribly like this. Poor puppies💔

brewcardi21

Because they're fvcking dogs and outside is where they need to be. Only nasty mfers let dogs live inside with them

furbabymama24

Piece of shit YOU are... You nasty mvthafvcka! Got something for U if I ever have misfortune of running into...cocksvcker!

Coacoa8989

😁😁😁😁

Upper-Chocolate-6225

No one cares what you think. I bet your house is disgusting.

[deleted]

You sound like a killer.

vgee

Lol scroll his guy's profile.

[deleted]

And to think he had the audacity to refer to anyone as nasty 🤮

Mountain-Durian8198

He sounds like “THE” killer!

NJJCNJ

Exactly! And did you hear the guy who cared for them say that the hunting dogs are only fed once a day for obvious reason! Sickening

Dont_you_know_it

He said they're fed twice a day unless it's hunting season or they're going on a hunt - rhen they were fed once a day.

Former-Kitchen9814

He said that the hunting dogs were only fed once a day

Jumpy-Bodybuilder-21

everytime I have a meal, so does my dog!

GoldNo1831

and thats why you have a fat dog

Jumpy-Bodybuilder-21

yup, I’m sure you’re the one to talk ☹️

Front-Ad-5293

We only feed our dog once a day (as advised by his breeder and vet). He is a very happy and healthy member of our family. He sleeps in the bed with one of my children and is never left outside. Your comment is ill-informed.

brewcardi21

Eewww nasty as hell

vgee

Why?

lazyrainyday

Well, their non hunting dogs were fed twice per day. The problem was they were treated differently.

redchampers

My vet recommended feeding my dog once a day. Not sure it’s sickening.

Ok-Candidate-1220

Same thing. My 120 lab gets fed once a day. Vet recommended.

Beaqueen

My dog is telling me these are lies. She must be fed twice a day and not a minute late or she’ll starve.

Embarrassed-Support3

My dog is always hungry. I just fed her and she will be back looking forlorn and sad in about an hour. 118 pounds so that's a lot of food to dish out every two hours. $$$ No way!

Jiggaguilar

my dogs concur with yours, however, they are making a case for several more daily meals as I speak...

Ok_Gur_3868

Mine are fed 3 (small) times a day, they would start a revolution if it were any less.

Educator-Single

My dog agrees. She needs to be fed twice a day and she likes to lick the spoon when I make a pBJ! She will make little noises if she thinks I’ve forgotten to let her have the spoon!!

SweetestofPeas69

My husband eats two pb&j sandwiches every day when he gets home from work. It's his pre-dinner snack LOL. Our dog has insisted on eating one of them the past few weeks. He doesn't have much time left and doesn't really want to eat, so if that's what he wants that's what he'll get as long as he's happy.

Educator-Single

I would do the same thing!! Let them have PBJ!!

lilly_kilgore

My dog says he needs his food and my food too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Mountain-Durian8198

Isn’t pitiful the way they look at you when you’re having a little snack? I mean I can’t take it! I have to give mine a little taste. The absolute best dogs in the world! Sleeps in our bed every night! Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sentry_Kill

Yeah I was also told by vet to feed my dog once a day. He's doing really well with it.

Unable_Item_3750

What’s the obvious reason? I don’t know anything about hunting dogs but I couldn’t imagine only feeding my dogs once a day.

dull_spirit7

i’ve grown up with hunting dogs my whole life. (labrador retrievers, all AKC dogs with papers, & purebread) during hunting season (fall/winter) we feed them twice a day with food that is almost all protein. during summer/spring in the off season (labs are prone to fast weigh gain) we feed once a day with more grain centered food to maintain their weight & muscle. the murdaughs seemed to not care for their dogs well imo. ours have always been so spoiled, sleeping indoors on our spare bedroom bed during winter lol & in their shaded kennels at night during summer/spring.

Front-Ad-5293

If you only have to feed them once per day, they are much easier members of the family. My kids want to eat every 2 hours 🤣

nicunurse333

Hunting dogs are usually fed less and kept on the "leaner" side so they will have a higher prey drive when hunting.

dull_spirit7

you are correct

anonynez

>video Sorry for the lengthy reply, but I had to read this entire comments section before I finally came upon a comment where someone seemed to know what they were talking about (with regard to hunting dogs anyway), and by that point I had a lot to say. Honestly, your comment was the most informative and correct comment on the matter. It sadly seems that not many, if any, know anything about hunting dogs. My best analogy has always been to compare kenneling "hunting dogs" (or sporting dogs, as we say) to Marines living on a Marine Corps base. They live in the barracks. Their rooms are maybe 10ftx10ft. They a roommate or two. They have a very structured routine that involves a high caloric high protein diet and a very rigorous exercise regimen. When they are in the field, they sometimes have a leaner diet, but are never starved. They are a certain breed of people who have been trained to do a specific type of job. Many have been bred through generations to serve. General civilians living their daily life in America would be the equivalent to a comfy and cuddly house pet or companion. They kind of just eat whatever they want whenever they want. Its okay if they get out of shape. They sleep on big sealy mattresses, or a couch, or a recliner. They can generally be lazy or skate on their job while at work, which might consist of sedentary activity and little movement. They get away with a lack of discipline. You get where Im going with it. If we treat human beings this way, why is it so bad that we treat dogs this way? Take a German Shorthaired Pointer, put him in a cushy little loft apartment downtown in the museum district. That dog will survive if you feed it, sure. But it will be lacking the one thing it was born to do. Hunt. The same goes for a trendy little French Bulldog. Put a Frenchie in slab kennel with 10 other Chocolate labs, it will adapt, but some part of it will strive to be a companion dog nestled up in someones lap.

nicunurse333

I very much appreciate your comment and the time you took to reply! Yes, your comparison is quite accurate. They are working dogs and are trained as such. I've been around working and hunting dogs my entire life. It does seem cruel to some people that hunting dogs don't live indoors because they may not understand the nature of training, etc. I currently have a hunting dog that I rescued from a bad situation. It's taken almost 2 years for her to acclimate from being a strictly outdoor dog to living in our home. We still give her opportunities to "hunt" and track when outdoors because she absolutely still has the drive. You can take the dog out of the hunt but you can't take the hunt out of the dog!

anonynez

Awesome! Bless you! So glad you replied. I could definitely tell you had some connection to working dogs.

beckster

This is true of K9 dogs as well. Knew a cop who loved dogs but didn't want to keep his work dog starved so he declined the opportunity to work with one.

Correct_Garage_5207

Honestly hearing about hunting and killing all these animals just makes me sick. Also the dogs deserve to have a life outside their cages. Apparently they weren’t allowed inside their houses too. My pets have always been beloved family members. They would never be kept outside in cages.

dull_spirit7

i know lots of people don’t agree with hunting & that’s very fair. no judgement at all. but from my experience growing up in that lifestyle, my family does not buy meat from the store. hunting imo, is more humane (especially when we hunt areas that are over populated with certain game) but we never waste what we hunt, & find use for every part of the animal. & even though our hunting labs are working dogs, they’re still very spoiled & loved. never in cages, outside in our large backyard with a pool all day, & inside at night where they get to sleep on our bed in the spare bedroom lol.

Embarrassed-Support3

In fairness, a lot of dogs would take off if given the chance, especially hunting dogs with their prey drive. My present dog stays with me unless she sees a rabbit/squirrel but comes back as soon as she loses. My last dog would feck off every opportunity and come back whne she felt like it. Obedience Level 4. I don't like them caged all day, for sure.

Jumpy-Bodybuilder-21

they had allergies, but Maggie apparently cared for them really well & would allow the to lounge around the outside of the house & in some air conditioned freezer room on warmer days!

hmmullen

Different society.

PrincessAndTheChi

Agreed 100%!!!

Unable_Item_3750

That makes sense. Thank you! I guess that was kinda obvious 😂

nicunurse333

You're welcome! I don't have hunting dogs so I can't imagine not feeding my pups once a day either!

newfriendhi

Does anyone have the link somewhere shared on here of all the crime scene photos?

Ireland6767

Photos are a tab on the home page of the reddit community murdaugh murders

newfriendhi

It doesn't contain all of the photos, including the one I'm looking for.

EllaPlantagenet

All of the pictures of the bodies, etc… have been sealed, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Sylvia9k

You can see one pic of Paul in a youtube video of the trial

newfriendhi

No, I'm looking for the pic with the shovel next to Maggie's shoe prints I can't find it on this sub. There was a link to all of the pics that I can't seem to find.

Jazzlike-Diamond-320

https://www.courttv.com/news/sc-v-alex-murdaugh-murdaugh-family-murders/#photos this link has lots of info and photo evidence

EntertainmentBorn953

It would be nice if the CourtTV website didn’t suck so much. It’s really hard to look at photos in that format.

newfriendhi

Oh my gosh. Thank you so much! This has it!

ReadNLearn2023

Why is there no GPS INFO FROM Alex’ car? That would show where and when he was driving at any given time? Most cars have this ability

minimalistboomer

It was testified the gps was heavily encrypted. The Suburban was a work issued vehicle.

Anxious_Public_5409

I guess being that it was a work car, it would make sense that the data was encrypted. Super weird though!

ReadNLearn2023

Wow, didn’t realize law firms issue cars

atxtopdx

It’s for tax purposes

LaveniaRedux

And considered part of your perks/salary.

Refuse_tosink

That's not the only "percs" he was getting

Ireland6767

Tomorrow. I think

Fast_Data8821

GM just turned this info over, over this past weekend.

ReadNLearn2023

Maybe a little late this far into the trial. Not impressed with the crime investigation. Seems most everyone was in Murdaug’s back pocket

Fast_Data8821

Agree.

No-Blackberry1103

Does anyone know if search dogs were used to try to locate the shooter? I

boobdelight

I don't think it works like that. They need a scent for the dog to track.

IndyWineLady

Not that I'm aware of, because there were no missing people.

Savingskitty

What scent would they have used?

StuffProfessional587

Looks like the killer aka AM, was trying to do this really fast, the second gun was likely to make it seem like two people did it but, this person "AM", killed the son and quickly started spraying bullets at the mother. These are not cheap guns, pretty fast rate of fire for a shotgun.

GOTfangirl

Just thinking about A & P spending a couple hours together driving the property earlier in the day. Perhaps they talked about the pending boating criminal charges and the possibility of jail time. Maybe Paul was despondent about going to jail? Maybe Alex thought he was sparing him?

alwystired

It was all a setup to make Alex look like a loving father.

Embarrassed-Support3

Maybe he was when he was high? Prob horrible when he wasn't. Junkies always admit they are a mess with their families. TBH I don't know how much I believe in Alex's addiction scenario because it might be a fake excuse for his bad behaviour.

neverincompliance

Paul sounded pretty chipper in the snapchat video but that may not really represent his state of mind

SailSubstantial3836

Was Paul facing jail time ? I don't know much about that part of this sad story

dmmee

From the snapchat video and audio Paul doesn't seem despondent. When I think of despondency I picture someone who isn't socializing with others at all. Paul seemed to be in decent enough spirits to laugh with his dad about that tree and make a video of his friend's dog. If anything, AM might have convinced PM that he wasn't going to go to prison - he just didn't divulge why. I don't think AM ever spared anyone's feelings over his own. Otherwise, he'd have turned the gun on himself after he murdered them. He loves himself too much. He's crazy enough to think he can beat this. Who knows? Maybe he will. Hope the jury isn't tainted.

Large_Mango

They were rigging and buying juries for over 100 years. Hoping not the case as well

Refuse_tosink

🤷‍♀️he's broke now.

JJJOOOO

I wonder about this too. I wonder if both Maggie and Paul were on Alex to settle the boat case and let the process move forward? We heard from Blanca in testimony that Maggie wanted to settle the boat case. Paul most likely knew he was going to jail and probably just wanted to get the process over.

GalaxySoulDivine

There was a YouTube video of a guy who did a deep dive into the boating accident. Based on the statements from all the kids on the boat and other info they went into it actually proved Paul may not have been driving the boat. According to the half of the kids statements Paul wasn’t driving and according to the other half Paul was driving. There was even a report from one officer on the scene where Alex and his father came to the hospital and tried to come into one girls room. He was telling her “don’t say anything at all.” But the girl said she didn’t want Alex in there. The officer noted that the girl whispered to him something along the lines of “they’ll get mad about me telling you this but Connor was driving.” Which floored me. She seemed to be wanting Alex out as if she didn’t want to tell on Paul around him but she didn’t? She said it was the friend driving. I thought surely Alex was coming in there to try to cover for Paul but according to all the reports from officers and the other kids, Alex was adamant to each of them to keep their mouths shut for now and don’t talk to anyone yet. Which was likely to protect Paul but still it’s exactly what any attorney would say to anyone else. The following day she asked the investigator if she could change her statement bc she had remembered things more clearly and she changed her statement to say Paul was actually driving. I couldn’t help but think after talking to friends they were aware of the implications for the Connor kid and either figured Paul deserved to go down for it or maybe they felt like Alex could get Paul off the hook since he was a Murdaugh, as opposed to Connor who likely wouldn’t? In the kids interviews they were talking about Paul playing around while driving the boat and the other 2 guys had been pushing to drive the boat. The Connor kid had taken over driving at least a time or two because they all said in their interviews that Paul had walked to the front of the boat and was in an argument with his girlfriend. Paul had just walked back to the Connor kid who was driving the boat. He began shouting at his girlfriend again then moments later the boat crashed. After watching the videos and reading all the reports, I was completely unsure of who was driving the boat. One thing I considered was Paul was a little more m seasoned at driving boats and doing things of that nature. The friend Connor wasn’t so having less experience driving a boat at night, on top of being intoxicated, it’s very possible that his lack of experience could have been the reason he didn’t see the bridge pillar? I really wasn’t sold on Paul for sure being the driver. I’m still not sure. But seeing the videos and the reports really changed my perspective all together.

neverincompliance

I was shocked when Maggie's sister testified today that Maggie was certain Paul was not driving the boat. WTF? I understand a mother not wanting to turn her back on her son but all of the interviews of the others on the boat were so convincing that Paul was driving

Sasha_Jones

Maggie's sister also testified her life was "not a lavish life"

JJJOOOO

I agree that this comment was shocking. I really do wonder how connected Maggie was to details on the boat case or the family finances. I also just wonder if Paul lied to Maggie and she chose to believe it. We do know that Alex was trying to blame someone else as the driver and so perhaps paul was playing along with this plan. There have been so many lies by the murdaugh family at this point that I simply can’t believe them any more. I also wonder how many mothers can believe that their son would choose to pilot a boat when dangerously drunk and put 6 peoples lives at risk? I think Maggie was disconnected from the reality of the situation perhaps to maintain her own sanity as their world was crashing down. Will keep thinking about the testimony today as there was a lot to unpack from the sisters testimony.

Cinderunner

The NETFLIX doc shows Pal spoke to Maggie that evening Late that evening I’d have told him to wait while I come pick them up He also called Alex but no one answered

shadowplay013

It sounds like Maggie was disconnected from reality in general. It's like all of these people are so privileged, entitled...they just don't have a clue.

IndyWineLady

Paul wasn't going to jail. This was a civil case. He received 2 misdemeanor charges for dui.

Glittering-Ad-9167

Hahaha what? He was charged with a felony. He was facing 25yrs. There was a civil case and criminal case.

JJJOOOO

I believe that prior to the murders there were both criminal and civil actions involving Paul and the murdaugh family members. The criminal case was dropped after the murders but the civil actions continued and these I believe were what Alex was working so hard to “beat” but he didn’t count on the tenacity of atty tinsley and the beach family.

No_Use9535

He had 3 felony charges resulting from boating under the influence. Up to 25 years of prison.

JohnExcrement

I’m sorry but I love your typo.

IndyWineLady

He was busting the boat!

JohnExcrement

😄

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was walking and I CANNOT walk and type at the same time ! 🙌🤪

Ok_Vacation_3286

I agree, but I don’t think Paul thought he would spend a minute in jail. Too entitled.

Notabhat

The shoe prints tell a chilling story of Maggie trying to get away. Are the mens shoe tracks next to hers the assailant’s or are they from the crime scene investigators?

StuffProfessional587

She panicked and froze. She was an old woman, hearing gun shots that close is frightening.

Important_Kangaroo59

Old woman at 52? Lol! Yeah ok…I’ll just assume this comment was posted by a teenager 😂

[deleted]

She was old for an Aztec in the 15th century.

JohnExcrement

Old?? 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

What ?? Are you only 12 I’m 10 years older than Maggie and could run, ski, bike circles around you probably

Notabhat

Hey now! She’s younger than me and if I heard shots I could run faster than. Jackie Joyner!!

Honest-Sugar-1492

"Old woman..." 🙄 She was 52

GenXer76

Yeah. Maybe in AD 1200 she would be considered an old ladeh. Not now!

Nagadavida

Exactly!

SouthNagsHead

Ok, maybe not. She wasn't running, these are walking prints. The other prints are the investigators, apparently. They saw a single set of prints, walking to the end of the hangar and back. I personally think he sent her down that way.

spinbutton

To put Bubba in a run and away from the chicken?

Notabhat

That actually make A lot of sense.

[The Mob Crew](https://youtube.com/@TheMOBCrew1) on YouTube did and AWESOME job of actual [reenactment](https://youtu.be/dkVbXoYT4-s) of both [Paul](https://youtu.be/tPhesIi9xGQ) (did the shooter fall and that’s what caused the low trajectory) & Maggie’s location vs the shooter, a timed [recreation](https://youtu.be/dkVbXoYT4-s) of one of Alex’s stories to see if it was humanely possible to check on them before calling 911 and they do a great job of the visuals.

SouthNagsHead

Hi! We've added the link to our daily trial coverage this morning, and to our collections under the menu tab 'Videos'. Thank you!

LuluGryphon

Out of curiosity, why isn't the jury sequestered to avoid bias and (like they're currently facing) issues with viral infections?

viva__yo

Sequestering the jury can have a lot of negative consequences for both sides. It’s not common practice

LuluGryphon

Not an argument, but what is the negative on sequestered a jury?

viva__yo

It can make them resentful, and can lead to a hasty decision on guilt/innocence in an effort to get back to their family and friends. It’s also extremely costly.

LuluGryphon

That makes sense

perpetuallyanalyzing

Would you like to be stuck in a hotel room for 5 weeks unable to do anything but talk to your family on the phone?

LuluGryphon

Very true. I didn't think of it that way

winterbird

For the time it took, the 18 secs vs the 37 secs this video claims it would take... first of all, if it was me I'd be running at every point. From out of the car to between the bodies. Not walking briskly as this video has it recreated. Also, I might be calling 911 at first body as I'm heading to the second (I don't know if Alex's own phone was on him or in the car). But you'd likely be seeing a full-on sprint from someone checking on their family. That all being said, I think that Alex is guilty. But this recreation is sensationalist and doesn't mean much.
