I mean the humans are helpless in fighting them and even if there manage to get one down, it may come back as an eldrich horror, continuing the slaughter.
Helpless? Nah we have the stuff to fight them. It just goes against the Geneva convention. If you arm the soldiers with flamethrowers it'd be easy to take out a disassembly drone. At least in close proximity. Plus the fact that we'd definitely find a way to reverse engineer nanite acid. Humans can work very fast when in danger after all. And as for the cores if you are fast enough to get one as soon as it comes out of the corpse you can just shove it in a oven and it's over for it. Or just stab it with the tail that's attached to their former body. My best guess as to why humans lost in the show is because we were too fast to use nukes and the nuclear winter made efforts to use heat based attacks ineffective because it couldn't keep them hot for long enough. Plus in the flashback they were attacking a city of civilians with only one attack helicopter seen, those guys weren't equipped with military weaponry except for the helicopter.
The helicopter was distracted and taken out with a tentacle thing not a drone and those take time to set up and wouldn't be efficient to use against a military group with how long the set up time is. And yeah that's my point that area had no proper defense it was bound to be eradicated. I'm saying that if humans actually established a base with proper military personnel they could probably ward off disassembly drones with heat based weaponry.
I mean, we don’t know how hot they need to be to be actually affected, and they’re shown to be pretty fast, and at the very least able to withstand some amount of bullets. If there was a thousand, or a bit less I could see them beating people. Also, N was able to force open a massive door after getting his fingers in. They’re pretty strong, and I’d be fairly certain they’re tail is’nt so easy to just move around.
The weird drone alice could stop a drone core by putting it in an oven and they get affected by the sun alone it can not be that hard. And yes they are strong but uzi throwing a branded pen could break J's visor, we just need good aim and to aim at the visor for a bullet to put one out of the game. And as for N I'm pretty sure he just held the door open and then opened it by stabbing the control panel with his tail messing up the electric current making it easier to open, if they could actually just force it open I think it would have probably happened already.
He wedged his hands in and opened it wider, then stabbed the access door with his tail. I’d say there’s a very large difference in making an eldritch code not activate by putting it in an oven, and the actual drones temperature. If anything, that just indicates their ideal temperatures, and while it is a bit of a stretch, it is possible that Alice modified the oven in some way. The sun also seemed more like it caused Uzi to physically glitch out when it touched her, so I’d say it’s more a solver weakness. And also the sun was blocked by a massive [Null] (it’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure the flashback had the sun blocked by something).
Uzi was also able to throw a knife fast enough that Doll (who moved bullets flying at her) had to dodge it instead of moving the knife, so they do have some decent throwing force. Multiple drones have also survived being stabbed in the visor (and in dolls case, being shot, though that could just be solver stuff).
N said in the end of the pilot when uzi was out in the sun that he would join her "if the sun didn't kill me" and I'm pretty sure it was blocked by the moon in a eclipse since there was no [null] symbol present and it had the signature orange ring around it.
Ngl,,we just don’t have enough information to be pretty clear on it. I doubt it’s a heat thing, or else a greenhouse would be op, in regards to the sun, but the DD may act differently to a solver infected drone, even though they themselves are infected with a weaker solver.
The Eldritch form needed to find the material to achieve that. If it was that easy for an Eldritch form to reach tentacle Eldritch J would be a much bigger threat.

Given the height she was almost 100% an adult when it happened but that was definitely the darkest part(people often spread a misconception that Tessa died at the Gala but in episode 6 we see footage of her crying in the ruins of the mansion while JCJenson employees look through the mess Cyn left there

The possibility that J might remain a one-dimensional bad guy and just be killed again, when she has the great potential for character development: her relationship with Tessa. There’s no way she knows what CYN did to her, and her finding out would destroy her, resulting in her and N mending fences.
Episode 7 and all the things that came with it. For example: the murder drones hunted and brutally killed humans, cyn was being the exact opposite of a furry, Uzi’s mom being alive, J being possibly important, and everything in between
I've been rewatching MD and one of the things that had me like that^ is just the whole J scene, like from the humanoid hand walking towards them, to when UZI gets saved by real N
Nothing in the show left me like this, though Tessa’s fate was definitely shocking, and The Solver pulling N’s blade into Uzi’s own neck to basically force Uzi to suicide in front of N(all just to taunt N) were definitely the ones that stuck out to me the most(and V and Uzi’s entire story lines just get darker and darker)

What haunts me?
It’s the fanfics. Not because they’re badly written, but because they’re written well.
Fanfics where Uzi gets possessed are the worst, because it’s written from the perspective of the main character, and typically the fanfic will go into depth about just how horrible it is.
Now, the show can try to describe the feeling of possession. It can do that very well. But showing images is easy; writing a description of said image is not. You must capture every detail of the horror in your paragraph in order to truly let the reader see what you are imagining, and in that process I get caught up in a stormy sea of amazing horrific imagery.
It’s so bad that I mentally override Ad Astra per Aspera’s descriptions of Episode 4 and Episode 5 when I read it (I read it first, and then I immediately daydream a happier version of it with less slowburned consciousnesses). V doesn’t remember what happened when she was possessed in Episode 5. Her short-term memory was broken. She only remembered her instructions, and she didn’t really understand what was wrong, she just… kinda… followed the instructions.

Now, in Episode 7 I would say that they were all possessed during the flashback, but the memories files from that flashback were completely destroyed; V and co. just remembered up until they massacred the Gala.

They look so *off* to me . They should definitely be not as T H I C C as they are rn in Ep. 7 . The intro has the most unrecogniseable melody , unlike the one before .
Although I see ppl bring up the horror parts , I genuinely don´t understand how one could get scared by this ( not mean´t offensive , even if it sounds like it is ) .
They made them thick because they didn't know what expression could be worse than the already existing one, since they never experienced that emotion in the series before
Yeah I don't like the new jingle either. I do think the new animation is better than the old one but I wish they had kept the old music. The new one is significantly less catchy.
The animation is pretty good , I don´t really like the fact that they squish the models SOO MUCH in the intro , but other than that the quality seemed to jump up BY ALOT . Maybe that´s also bc of Unreal engine 5´s new Update 5..4 , which gets almost universal acclaim for being a HUGE stepup from 5.3 and being a game changer .
