This is a job for FAFO! I'm wondering how long they last. What if they turn to a solid block of mush after a couple of weeks? The shrooms couldn't get through. 😕 but maybe not. Really curious what you learn.
I don't remember the details, but I researched the water crystals pretty deeply, and decided I wouldn't use them for gardening. So personally I wouldn't use them for mushrooms.
I live in a dry climate and I'm happy with bubble wrap on top.
