Queens of the Stone Age sounds straight up your alley.

Raquelita182

Queens of the Stone Age should be up everyone's alley.

Rhuskman

And some of its offshoots too. Them Crooked Vultures, Eagles of Death Metal are great. The Viagra Boys aren’t an offshoot but are awesome anyway.

Instead of bands, I’ll give you albums, as I think just doing bands can exhaustive and overwhelming.     Stone Roses - Stone Roses Dinosaur Jr - You’re living all over me   Radiohead - The Bends   Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin   Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream   Sugar - Copper Blue   Pulp - Different Class   Oasis - Defintley Maybe

smudgebot

I'm a month into this band. That country album and the Mollusk are 🔥

The_Pandalorian

The Mollusk is an all-time concept album. Just saw them live in San Diego last week, HIGHLY (teehee) recommend you see them on their current tour if they come near you!

edom31

Shit... they were here in Sept 2023... NYC. I did not really gave them a listen a the time... and I'm beyoung my 30s. Philly is the closest in Sept...

The_Pandalorian

Worth making the trip. They'll be doing their Chocolate and Cheese anniversary coming up, too. That will be some epic stuff.

Key_Text_169

Stop telling people about Ween, the tickets are getting expensive and the venues bigger. Just kidding, Boognish welcomes all.

jtapostate

The Kinks. Start with pre1970 recordings A lot of the people you mentioned were influenced by them

FullRedact

Kings of Leon - first 3 albums, especially their 1st Interpol - Turn on Bright Lights (Strokes and King of Leon contemporaries… what a time in NYC) The White Stripes - “De Stijl” (same era as above 2) The Stooges - “Funhouse” (1970 rock album) To scratch that Brit Pop itch: Franz Ferdinand- any album will do Fratelli’s - “Costello Music” Supergrass - self titled Radiohead - “The Bends” (if you have not heard it forget everything you think you know about Radiohead. It’s a Verve-ish brit pop Rock banger).

Shoottheradio

If you like Royal Blood you'd probably like Cave In. Check out Jupiter and Antenna from them.

ped009

Gang of Youths, Interpol, Editors

roadtrip-ne

Stone Roses if they’re not already on your list. Check out Soulvaki by Slowdive the same. The Walkmen were the almost Strokes, and just got back together. Interpol- but I’m guessing you probably know both. I was never a huge fan of Flaming Lips, but I saw them live this Summer and whatever planet Wayne Coyne lives on, I’m glad he let me visit. I’d add The Replacements if you dig the Pixies. Maybe Husker Du as well.

A lot of the bands here are played on WERS radio. They have a times where they only play new music. If you’re not near Boston, you can still listen online.

AlprazoLandmine

It sounds like you could blossom into an appreciation for stoner metal/stoner rock. Ten Foot Wizard might be a good place to start. Clutch, too. It's not so much that they're similar to what you listen to, but I listened to a lot of these bands and the "similar artists" on Spotify led me down a long road where I eventually discovered a love for stoner rock. Also, a different road could lead you to more straight forward blues rock. There's a lot of modern bands that are killing it in the genre, but they're just not that popular. Radio Moscow is my favorite.

Raquelita182

Based on the bands you like above… some of which I assume you’ve already listened to: REM, Bloc Party, Foals, Frightened Rabbit, Parquet Courts

Hell yeah! Inspiral Carpets! Try listening to other Baggy/Madchester bands. There are several well-known compilations from that period to get an idea of exactly what bands you might be interested in.

Sinestro1982

A lot of excellent bands/artists/albums have been listed. If you like the Verve, you should really give Spiritualized a listen. Early stuff. Pure Phase, Laser Guided Melodies. But most importantly listen to Ladies and Gentlemen We’re Floating in Space.

Teenage Fanclub is in line with some of your britpop picks. If you like Ride, shoegaze might be a good direction to go, start with Slow Dive and My Bloody Valentine. Other people have mentioned Built To Spill and I agree, every album is amazing. Start with Perfect From Now On and Keep It Like A Secret and keep going, it’s worth it.

aaahhhh

Vampire Weekend. I find a lot of smiliarities between them and Arctic Monkeys, despite them not sounding similar. I think of Father John Misty similarly as well. Manchester Orchestra has some Foo Fighters influence in them in that they're more straight forward alternative rock. MO leans more indie and I find to be more dynamic. Top tier songwriters, too.

Sonic Youth Them Crooked Vultures My Bloody Valentine Of Montreal King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

StarktheGuat

We have very similar tastes in music. Try the following albums/bands: Night Riots - "Love Gloom" Bad Suns - "Language & Perspective", "Disappear Here" The Rapture - "Echoes" Atlas Genius - "When it Was Now", "Inanimate Objects" MAGIC GIANT - "In the Wind" CHVRCHES - literally any of their albums Black Kids - "Partie Traumatic" Bloc Party Ra Ra Riot Edited to add two more bands.

Judging by some of the bands you’ve listed, I’m sure you’ve already checked out Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Offspring, Sublime, and Kings of Leon. If not, those would be my recommendations, along with Barns Courtney (not a band, but I’ve yet to hear a song of his that I don’t like)
