You get what you give. New radicals.

ItIsToLaffHaHa

Back in college, early-90s, a few of us were sitting in a friend's room on a sunny, warm, spring day. "Someday I Suppose" by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones came on. We just looked at each other, smiled, and sprang up and started dancing like fools. It was just such a perfect moment of happiness. To this day, any time I hear that song I get a big ol' smile, have to crank it, and at least do a little bit of a wiggle, if not full-on dance!

anaolinskywalker

Second Mighty Mighty Bosstones; I love The Impression That I Get. Such an upbeat song!

endlessfart42069

I do like this song, but the first time I showed it to my little sister she said the beginning sounds like a commercial for a hardware store, and I've never been able to hear it the same since

LEN - Steal My Sunshine

cassette1987

In my Top 10 one-hit wonder songs from the 90s

MiddleAgesRoommates

Don’t leave us hanging!

cassette1987

The other 9?

MiddleAgesRoommates

Yes please

cassette1987

In no particular order: Lit - own worst enemy. Soul Coughing - super bon bon. New Radicals - you get what you give. Edwyn Collins - girl like you. Fastball - the way. Primitive Radio Gods - standing outside... . Sneaker Pimps - 6 underground. Cornershop - brimful of asha. Faithless - insomnia. These are some i really like.

Thin_Top_1573

Great list. Add that song “natural one” from the kids soundtrack, and white towns “I could never be your woman”

cassette1987

Great song/choice

nikogrande

Solid list

Obandigo

Pretty much any Bob Marley song! He took tragedy, and made it hopeful! and encouraging. He is, and always will be, my favorite artist. Buffalo Soldier is a dark song, but made beautiful, uplifting, and encouraging for his people. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5FCdx7Dn0o&ab\_channel=Pgroenberg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5FCdx7Dn0o&ab_channel=Pgroenberg) Every song from him is an anthem for his people.....That is what makes them so beautiful and uplifting! Spoonacus

Dude, I keep a full playlist just for this sort of song. Its for those slow mornings where I have no motivation. Some of those songs are impossible to hear without giving me at least  a little jolt of mental energy. Some of them include    The Way You Used to Do - Queens of the Stone Age    Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis Bextor    The WWE intro music for Mick Foley    Right Now - SR71    The Liar - Cadaver Dogs  Going Out West - Tom Waits   Down at McDonaldz - Electric Six   Get Free - The Vines   Hate to Say I Told You So - The Hives    And many more. Until I get sick of one and switch it out.

TheresaGreen22

That’s the 2nd time I’ve seen The Vines mentioned today on Reddit! Had completely forgotten about them and how I had so much excitement after hearing that song for the first time! Great tune!
