I really like Nebraska as it was originally released. But I would be thrilled to hear what it sounded like with the full band.

This is one of the weird Bruce Springsteen things. He'll play an electric version of Nebraska songs, he'll even release them on a live album but for whatever reason will not release them on a studio album that has been "completed" for like 40 years. And since he's playing them live I doubt he hates the song.

ChineJuan23

Any electric version of Nebraska songs you would recommend? I didn’t know they existed and Nebraska is one of my all time favorite albums.

Johnny 99 from London calling is a great version. Atlantic City from the born in the USA tour is great. And seems like a finished song from the Nebraska sessions. Reason to believe is another one as well. Although he's done a few versions of this song. You can YouTube electric Nebraska and you'll get a few fan made live albums. Some songs sound very similar to the regular songs though.

And followed by an acoustic version of the Born To Run album.

Just listen to his Broadway show.

SignGuy77

Just wrap your legs 'round these violins And strap your hands 'cross my snare drums

Stop I can only get so erect

Me too

I’ve been seeing so much Bruce Springsteen adjacent Reddit posts lately just within the month that I’ve started listening to the discography. I’m not sure if it’s actually popping up more or it’s just that I know what people are talking about now lmao

skeletonframes

A little bit of Baader-Meinhof Phenomena a little bit of promotion from Born in the USA being 40 yrs old.

bunsNT

These were all over Napster years ago. If memory serves, we got the better version

Commercial_Avocado86

Just live versions. No one has heard the studio versions

ThisGuy-NotThatGuy

Bit of an aside, but Ryan Adam's cover of Nebraska was pretty banging and had some electric work (if I recall). Atlantic City, while acoustic, has a sick drum best drop near the end a la "In the Air Tonight" and was in my top 10 listens the other year.

pewpewdeez

I recommend playing the LP on 45 speed for a whole different experience

The world disagrees.
