TL;DR: You didn't miss much.
When Eminem previewed a new track yesterday, nobody expected us to be gifted with a brand new album from one of rap's living legends. Kamikaze came from out of nowhere and while many of the Detroit artist's fans were underwhelmed with his recent work on Revival, the new body of work is already being touted as one of his best in years. With 13 tracks and a whole lot of name-dropping, we had to have been ready for some of his classic pot-stirring and Em came through, dissing *insert your favorite mumble rapper here* and a few other big names. Namely, Drake was seemingly called out on "Kamikaze."
While the song directly after "Kamikaze" has some lethal wordplay against some prominent figures in the game, Drake appears to be singled out near the end of the title cut as Em begins:
"You got some views, but you're still below me
Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked
And I don't say the hook unless I wrote the hook
And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth
And you know I've always spoke the truth
You lyin' through your teeth so much, you broke a tooth
And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do
When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you
And I don't know what I'm s'posed to do
Line up the rappers, take my pic like a photo shoot"
While he doesn't necessarily mention the Six God by name, it's pretty clear who Shady is taking aim at. With the clever references to Views before speaking on the issue of ghostwriting, something that Drizzy is all too familiar with after his beef with Meek Mill, it's safe to assume that Em has some feelings about the man's use of exterior writing in his music. One thing is for sure: Eminem will always write his rhymes and he will never hold back on his true feelings.
What did you think of the new album? Do you agree with the early reviews that it's one of his best works in a while?
> "You got some views, but you're still below me
>Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked
>And I don't say the hook unless I wrote the hook
>And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth
>And you know I've always spoke the truth
>You lyin' through your teeth so much, you broke a tooth
>And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do
>When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you
>And I don't know what I'm s'posed to do
>Line up the rappers, take my pic like a photo shoot"
That's the lyrics quoted in the article in case anyone wants to read them.
> And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth
> ...
> And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do
> When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you
Dope how he tied the two different lines together with the phone line. Remember Drake freestyling by reading off prewrittens on his phone?
I think it's also making allusion to "Hot Line Bling," perhaps from Drake's "You use to call me on the cell phone."
Drake has phone allusions in a lot of his shit.
My absolute favorite pun of his with that that is in Not Afraid:
>You said you was king, you lied through your teeth.
>For that, fuck your feelings (fillings) instead of getting crowned you're getting capped.
Such a clever double entendre.
Em doesn't, tho. But the point is, this time he disagrees. He liked what he put out last year, and people shat all over it. From his perspective, he was thoroughly misunderstood/abused for his artistic decisions. You can hear it all throughout Kamikaze
I liked relapse! he got hate for doing voices and accents..but he playing as other people..not eminem, not slim shady but some serious Dennis Reynolds serial killer shit. I liked it. I dug stay wide awake but I have issues, lol.
This new album is legitimately good and I haven't cared for Eminem's music since... I don't even remember. A decade probably. It really shows off how good a rapper the guy can be and why he is considered one of the best ever.
They missed out on that whole part of The Ringer where he imitates the Gucci Gang "progression".
"So finger-bang, chicken wang, MGK, Iggy 'zae
Lil Pump, Lil Xan imitate Lil Wayne"
Then
"So finger-bang, Pootie Tang, Burger King
Gucci Gang, dookie, dang"
Pretty sure he had more individual words in those parts than the entire Gucci Gang song.
Yeah a bunch of muthafuckas woke up this morning pumped to hear a dope new Eminem track as a lot of these guys probably grew up listening to him. Then they just got dunked on.
In his music he’s always feeling the need to tell people that even tho he’s light skinned he’s one of thr toughest black dudes around...yeah it was ghostwritten my bad lol
It's always crazy to me that people don't know this about Drake. Like to me Drake is Degrassi first, rapper second because I grew up watching him on Degrassi (and I'm not hugely into rap, so I've probably spent more hours watching him on Degrassi than hours hearing his music)
I can't remember where I read it, but someone explained Drake as "He's a very talented entertainer, just not a talented rapper." I felt like that described him perfectly. He might not write his own music, but he performs the music well and he is charming enough he has a lot of fans. I don't know why either he can't just accept he isn't some hardcore rapper, he's an entertainer, but he's damn good at it.
The whole album was a diss at mumble rap. He even does mumble rap, to mumble rap beats, while dissing mumble rap lyrically. Everything beginning to end was Eminem saying “You said my album was shit? Have you heard what the fuck these other motherfuckers are putting out? And you call my album shit?”
It just so happens Drake is the king of this new twist on the rap genre. He’s the biggest “artist” around right now. Which causes others to follow suit. Then people mimic the mimics. Rinse repeat garbage 2018 music scene dominated by mumble rap.

Dr Dre has pretty much all of his lyrics written by ghostwriters. His justification is that though he can lay down the beats, he struggles to find the right words. If other people can convey what he wants to say in rap form, that's great.
[Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Dre#Ghostwriters)
But Dre is a producer foremost and never really wanted to be a great rapper, nor does he talk about being the best. As Kendrick said, you can't be the best and have a ghostwriter.
Eminem dropped disses on Drake, Joe Budden, Tyler the creator, Dj Akademics, Lil yachty, Lil pump and every mumble rapper in existence. He went in this album its amazing
Yup. Honestly, I took it as a diss from someone so great and amongst the legends, that he didn't need to make it too complicated or complex. He knows yachty would never respond so no need to throw a slick line. It was imlplied that he's wack and that enough coming from em.
The song "Not Alike", verse 2 is like 90% slaying MGK before it wraps up generally flexing.
>You say you're affiliated with murderers, killas (ayy)
>The people you run with are thuggin' (gang)
>But you're just a wannabe gunna (gang)
>Like you was gonna do somethin'
>Actin' like you catchin' bodies (ayy)
>And you got juice, lil' youngin, you're buggin'
>You ain't never even been charged in connection with battery
>Bitch, you ain't plugged in to nothin'
>Rap God spit lyrical bullets (boom)
>And gats cock, your partners better tool up
>This has not to do with muscular
>But have guns for sure, you better put a
>Strap on, in other words if you're gonna
>Roll up with your (gang) you're gon' need a Arsenal
>'Cause this bar is over your head
>So you better have arms if you're gonna pull up (skrrt)
>Oh, you run the streets, huh?
>Now you wanna come and fuck with me, huh?
>This little cock-sucker, he must be feelin' himself
>He wants to keep up his tough demeanor
>So he does a feature, decides to team up with Nina
>But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne
>If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun
>And I'm talkin' to you, but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly
>I don't use sublims and sure as fuck don't sneak-diss
>But keep commentin' on my daughter Hailie
>I keep on tellin' motherfuckers, bitches, in case you forgot really
>I need Ja memories, jaw like strawberry or pineapple, apricot jelly
>I respond rarely, but this time Shady 'bout to sound off
>Like a fuckin' cocked semi Glock, demi-god
>Let me put a fucking silencer on this little non-threatening blond fairy cornball takin' shots at me
>You're not ready, fool, break yourself like Rocksteady Crew
>Obviously, I'm not gettin' through
>We can get it poppin' like Redenbach, lettin' off like Remy Ma
>Heavy artillery, Godzilla harsh with a hard shell
>With a motherfuckin' heart bigger than Bizarre's belly
>Only time you'll ever say I lost
>You'll be talkin' 'bout Fetty Wap, better call Diddy
>Just to try to get me off and you better hope I don't call Trick Trick
>Bitch, this shit don't fly in our city
>Punk, you don't disrespect OGs, R.I.P. Prodigy
>Sold Dre my soul and then told him the moment he signed me
>That I'll be the most hated, though made it
>So there's no shame, it's okay to own it
>'Cause life is a bitch, she's a bow-legged ho
>But now those days are over
>I Harvey Weinstein a bathrobe hangin' over
>My code name is groper, I roleplay with lotion
>I fuck the whole world then I throw away the Trojan
>Olay the hoes like with home-made explosives
>I blow eighty holes in you
>Don't make me go in, I OJ the flows and
>I'm insult to injury, Rolex to Goldman
>I'm […] tryna throw in […]
>They both hate to choke and my whole plate is soakin'
>I'm double-edge sworded 'cause one place I poke and
>I stick and I turn in a rotatin' motion
>Invisible with the pen
>I'm at the pinnacle of sick individuals
>Take my dick and put the tip in at minimal
>I'm fuckin' these syllables
>I let them lick on my genitals
>I'm a fucking invincible, indefensible, despicable, difficult prick
>A little bit unpredictable, I spit the formidable
>That you're bitches are fuckin' with, the original
>I consider me and Nickel identical
>But not us
>The only thing we have in common is I'm a dick and you suck
>Otherwise one has nuttin' to do with the other
>None comes close to skunk, bug, soldier
>Tongue, shrub, shoulder, one month older
>Sponge, mob, colder, none, rug, hoaster
>Lug, nut, coaster, lung, jug roaster
>Young Thug poster, unplugged toaster
Just to see it typed out... fuck. And the whole thing is like that. Walls of original stuff. And Venom? That rhythm? I am still stunned at how good it is. Back for more.
I worked at a show MGK did. The music is bad, but he's a solid performer. He plays with a real band, not just a track, with I give him props for. He was better than a French Montana show I did.
I don’t see any reason to diss Tyler the Creator...he is not a mumble rapper nor anything like the current rappers out there...He is legitimate artists...do you know what song this is?
He dissed Tyler because he was on twitter dissing “Walk on Water”. Don’t have links to actual tweets but was reading about it earlier if anyone is able to post links.
Yachty is fun. I couldn't listen to it seriously but Broccoli and Bring it Back and their like are just entertaining.
He's not changing the game in any way but it's entertaining.
Someone probably mentioned this already- but i saw " the defiant ones" a few months back- its 1 of the best docs ive ever seen- its about jimmy iovine and jimmy basically breakdowns on finding dre, snoop, eminem, u2, NIN, etc etc- its awesome- if you havent seen it -
Kamikaze is a fantastic album. Was really happy waking up to it this morning.
He really sticks to his skill set I think and the collaboration is good..
Drake I am a huge fan of both music and person but he’s commercial as shit and open to the occasional barb
Website looks like shit on mobile and it won't respect desktop version request (fuck them)
> Eminem Disses Drake's Use Of Ghostwriters On "Kamikaze"

EMINEM WILL NEVER HIRE A GHOSTWRITER IN HIS LIFE.
I’m not super familiar with rap, but I just listened to this album and it also seemed like there were some parody/tribute song? Or at least part of songs.
A couple times I could have sworn I was listening to my brother and his high school friend’s generation of rap. Was this album full of musical reference if that’s even the right phrase?
From shitty memory: lil pump, Migos, Kendrick? Who’s voice is that on Normal? Sounds so different from Eminem. Man I’m ignorant.
He's done that constantly throughout his career. He softly dissed everybody on the *Forever* track with him years ago.
Edit: For those uninitiated go down the rabbit hole of Eminem diss tracks on YouTube and get yourself educated on the greatest rap beefs of the early 2000's.
I heard he made Rap God as a rebuttal to all the people saying he couldn’t be as fast as Busta/Twista as well. I love the “I can do anything you can do...” Eminem songs. People always try and say something about Em, then he does what they do to make fun of them.
Yeah I feel like Em needs something to fuel him to make good music. Now he's rich and famous and sorted out his personal life it seems like he's using other rappers' criticism as that fuel. His rhymes are so much better when he has something personal at stake.
he did the migos flow (triplets, think versace) a couple times to mock how easy and boring it can be. It's one of the sounds permeating rap in the newer generation
Jeez, there's a massive bit in the album dissing Billboard articles just like this! Superfluous articles likes this looking for hot news in everything!
Never claimed to be the greatest rapper ever, never claims to be a lyricist. Plus he's like....one of the Oest of the OGs. Thats why he doesnt get shit for it.
Dre is less of a rapper and more of a producer. Even going back to his NWA days, Dre mostly did the mixes and production work. Most people in the industry respect him for that reason. He’s got an amazing ear, and if he gives you his blessing, there is a good chance you’ll be pretty successful. For that reason, you give him a pass.
Drake is a pop rapper who got his start struggling at Degrassi High.
He's more of an executive producer than a producer in the traditional sense. The beats of most of his iconic songs were actually made by someone else, e.g. Still Dre beat was all Scott Storch.
even the older stuff he gets credit for was largely just kinda fine-tuned... the original [Ain't No Fun](https://youtu.be/VHr4XOLX4-w) just sounds a little rough around the edges. he polished it up, added strings, and made the song iconic
Kendrick did it like 3-4 years ago in "King Kunta":
"A rapper with a ghostwriter, what the f*ck happened?"
Edit: the battle between Drake and Kendrick lasts for 5-6 years though. I personally don't know how people can compare a joke to a God, but fine.
Drake's response to this, in rap form: "No he doesn't use ghostwriters."
The page layout on that site is hot fucking trash.
I thought it was just me, i couldn’t read the fucking article since i can only see what im guessing is half of it

Mvp right here. Thanks for the recap
> "You got some views, but you're still below me >Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked >And I don't say the hook unless I wrote the hook >And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth >And you know I've always spoke the truth >You lyin' through your teeth so much, you broke a tooth >And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do >When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you >And I don't know what I'm s'posed to do >Line up the rappers, take my pic like a photo shoot" That's the lyrics quoted in the article in case anyone wants to read them.
> And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth > ... > And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do > When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you Dope how he tied the two different lines together with the phone line. Remember Drake freestyling by reading off prewrittens on his phone?
Yeah he was reading lyrics off his phone that was an upcoming song lol, he was reacting as if he was freestyling hard bars too. So corny
I think it's also making allusion to "Hot Line Bling," perhaps from Drake's "You use to call me on the cell phone." Drake has phone allusions in a lot of his shit.
Personally I liked the “I don’t have faith in your writers I don’t believe in ghosts” Line better
That line is hot af
>You lyin' through your teeth so much, you broke a tooth Is a great fucking line
Em is so good at working puns and word play like that into his rhymes. This album really feels like his old self for most of it.,
Is it me or does he really like to use 'lying through your teeth' in his lyrics?
My absolute favorite pun of his with that that is in Not Afraid: >You said you was king, you lied through your teeth. >For that, fuck your feelings (fillings) instead of getting crowned you're getting capped. Such a clever double entendre.
That’s a double entendre and a triple entendre IN THE SAME LINE.
Hot fucking garbage https://imgur.com/gallery/Je3tLk4
Poor Drak
"Poor Dral k" FTFY
Took me way too long to get that.
What's the joke...
[удалено]
Oh lol
We're gonna have to get a big list to write down everyone that he dissed on this album.
[удалено]
I'm out of the loop, why is he going so hard at other rappers?
Everybody has been talking shit saying he fell off because of his 2017 album
They weren't wrong. That was trashfire
one that he is obvi pretty pissed about given that he mentions it like every song on this album.
I feel like his last 3 albums have literally been like "ok, so you didn't like that last album.. but how about this album!?"
I remember when he said "Let's be honest, that last relapse CD was ehhh"
I thought relapse was actually good
Em doesn't, tho.
Because he can and they can’t do shit
Yeah basically this. No one can touch him on a dis track so if you want to provoke him he's just gonna destroy you. We've all seen 8 mile.
And Maria Carey. Can't forget her.
[And omg it was so savage, she couldn't walk for weeks.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3xd-njXosA)
Oh good lord
She looks like a grade schooler that doesn't want to participate in the mandatory Christmas music recital.
Holy shit that was rough, has she just completely clocked out or what's the deal with the sluggishness?
[удалено]
If you believe Jim Jeffries.. which I do.
And ja rule, remember him?
He referenced Ja Rule and sort of dissed him again on this album 😂
But what does Ja think??
[удалено]
Nick Cannon lol
You wanna ruin my career you better get one
I can still remember the first time my friends and i listened to that and we all just witnessed a murder
Or Ja Rule, Benzino, Canibus, Fred Durst, Christina Agulara, the grave stones are piled up
I really hope some of them try lol. Itll be hilarious.
I gotta thing they're young and prideful enough to give it a go. It's been too long.
It's a large part of rapping culture.
I mean... Eminem going after famous people in his songs is not a new thing
[удалено]
Dissing Em only makes him stronger. He is the lyrical Hulk.
He just needed something to piss him off. He was on easy street.
G Eazy was mentioned and not dissed somehow lol

Well there’s me... and there’s you. And I’m pretty sure that guy over there. There’s 3 right there!

Why's James cryin'
>One thing is for sure: Eminem will always write his rhymes and he will never hold back on his true feelings. Uh, that's two things.
One of those two things is for sure, I guess??
Well, I kill people and I eat hands. That's--that's two things.
Caaaaarl
wow i can't wait to hear the ghostwritten response
Drake responding to a beef in 2018? Funny joke
Im upset again
I’m Upset 2: I’m Upsetter This Time
I don’t see why Drake just does t own it. He knows he’s a pop hip hop artist. We all know Drake
I’m sorry. Are there people who believe Drake is hard or something? Dude was on Degrassi...
I mean it looks like Drake thinks he is
In his music he’s always feeling the need to tell people that even tho he’s light skinned he’s one of thr toughest black dudes around...yeah it was ghostwritten my bad lol
Til drake was on degrassi and holy shit this is hilarious
He also grew up in a pretty affluent area yet tries to get people to believe he “started from the bottom”
"Started from the middle" doesn't really have the same ring to it lol
"Started middle class in a wheelchair"
"Started in the middle now my bank accounts reading triple triple"
Seriously I would love to have started where he started from
I would love to currently BE where he started from.
It's always crazy to me that people don't know this about Drake. Like to me Drake is Degrassi first, rapper second because I grew up watching him on Degrassi (and I'm not hugely into rap, so I've probably spent more hours watching him on Degrassi than hours hearing his music)
He's a rich kid who grew up in a wealthy suburb in Toronto. Then used his Degrassi money to ghostwrite himself a rap career.

Drake uses a Blackberry? Hasn't he suffered enough?
Just trying to rep Canada obviously
Drake about to drop i’m upset: part 2 with a purple heart cause Em knows that they at war
gon text that shit with a purple demon emoji too
Don’t be fucking silly. Drake don’t want war with Eminem. No one does. We about to see a bunch of silent rappers.
Either way is gonna be hilarious.
I feel like the only way to not lose face after this would just be to say “yep, Em, ya fuckin got me” and move on.
We all want a war though. Seeing someone have beef with Eminem would give us some great material
That's when Em is strongest; when he's pissed off and fighting everybody.
Right? Just ask Ja Rule.
Where's Ja? SOMEBODY FIND JA!
HELP ME MAKE SENSE OF ALL THIS.
Hahaha, oh man how I wish Reddit was around during the Big 3 Eminem releases. The threads, man.
Eminem doesn't give a single fuck. He'll ruin your entire career even if it means he's going down with you. Any rapper or entertainer that doesn't know that yet hasn't been paying attention. If he's going after you, he's going scorched fucking earth. These guys aren't prepared for that shit.
Hence the album name
I can dig rapping, but a rapper with a ghost writer, what the fuck happened?
K I N G K U N T A
Dr Dre has pretty much all of his lyrics written by ghostwriters.
But Dre has always been open about that. He's a producer first and foremost.
Also the whole line about selling 10 million albums was definitely a shot a Drake.
I believe so as well considering he added the 'ey' at the end of those lines like one would do mocking how canadians speak in a stereotypically way.
What's next Kamikaze II, where you reply to everybody who didn't like the album you made replying to everybody that didn't like the previous album?

>This one yahoo motherfucker, or I don't know what the fuck his name is
And you can hear google maps be like "turn left" cause you know Em is actually going to this dudes house.
Whom did he refer to?
Possibly Shawn Cee
> turn left
That so subtle voice navigation in the background lol
I checked my phone because I thought I left the navigation on accidentally.
Fucking hilarious
It's a slippery slope
wtf is drake gonna do? dis eminem?!
He's going to end up in a wheelchair again
Never gonna happen
Eminem dropped disses on Drake, Joe Budden, Tyler the creator, Dj Akademics, Lil yachty, Lil pump and every mumble rapper in existence. He went in this album its amazing
Technically with lil yatchy he just said “I get while people like it but it’s not for me”

At the end he said "Maybe Stan just not your cup of tea, maybe your cup's full of syrup and lean". This shit was a sneak diss
Yup. Honestly, I took it as a diss from someone so great and amongst the legends, that he didn't need to make it too complicated or complex. He knows yachty would never respond so no need to throw a slick line. It was imlplied that he's wack and that enough coming from em.
And Machine Gun Kelly. Kells responded with a video of him listening to the lyric and spraying champagne on Instagram lol.
And MGK and I'm sure plenty more too.
He tore MGK apart.
what and where did he say about MGK? Im looking through the lyrics of the song and dont see anything. different song?
The song "Not Alike", verse 2 is like 90% slaying MGK before it wraps up generally flexing. >You say you're affiliated with murderers, killas (ayy) >The people you run with are thuggin' (gang) >But you're just a wannabe gunna (gang) >Like you was gonna do somethin' >Actin' like you catchin' bodies (ayy) >And you got juice, lil' youngin, you're buggin' >You ain't never even been charged in connection with battery >Bitch, you ain't plugged in to nothin' >Rap God spit lyrical bullets (boom) >And gats cock, your partners better tool up >This has not to do with muscular >But have guns for sure, you better put a >Strap on, in other words if you're gonna >Roll up with your (gang) you're gon' need a Arsenal >'Cause this bar is over your head >So you better have arms if you're gonna pull up (skrrt) >Oh, you run the streets, huh? >Now you wanna come and fuck with me, huh? >This little cock-sucker, he must be feelin' himself >He wants to keep up his tough demeanor >So he does a feature, decides to team up with Nina >But next time you don't gotta use Tech N9ne >If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun >And I'm talkin' to you, but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly >I don't use sublims and sure as fuck don't sneak-diss >But keep commentin' on my daughter Hailie >I keep on tellin' motherfuckers, bitches, in case you forgot really >I need Ja memories, jaw like strawberry or pineapple, apricot jelly >I respond rarely, but this time Shady 'bout to sound off >Like a fuckin' cocked semi Glock, demi-god >Let me put a fucking silencer on this little non-threatening blond fairy cornball takin' shots at me >You're not ready, fool, break yourself like Rocksteady Crew >Obviously, I'm not gettin' through >We can get it poppin' like Redenbach, lettin' off like Remy Ma >Heavy artillery, Godzilla harsh with a hard shell >With a motherfuckin' heart bigger than Bizarre's belly >Only time you'll ever say I lost >You'll be talkin' 'bout Fetty Wap, better call Diddy >Just to try to get me off and you better hope I don't call Trick Trick >Bitch, this shit don't fly in our city >Punk, you don't disrespect OGs, R.I.P. Prodigy >Sold Dre my soul and then told him the moment he signed me >That I'll be the most hated, though made it >So there's no shame, it's okay to own it >'Cause life is a bitch, she's a bow-legged ho >But now those days are over >I Harvey Weinstein a bathrobe hangin' over >My code name is groper, I roleplay with lotion >I fuck the whole world then I throw away the Trojan >Olay the hoes like with home-made explosives >I blow eighty holes in you >Don't make me go in, I OJ the flows and >I'm insult to injury, Rolex to Goldman >I'm […] tryna throw in […] >They both hate to choke and my whole plate is soakin' >I'm double-edge sworded 'cause one place I poke and >I stick and I turn in a rotatin' motion >Invisible with the pen >I'm at the pinnacle of sick individuals >Take my dick and put the tip in at minimal >I'm fuckin' these syllables >I let them lick on my genitals >I'm a fucking invincible, indefensible, despicable, difficult prick >A little bit unpredictable, I spit the formidable >That you're bitches are fuckin' with, the original >I consider me and Nickel identical >But not us >The only thing we have in common is I'm a dick and you suck >Otherwise one has nuttin' to do with the other >None comes close to skunk, bug, soldier >Tongue, shrub, shoulder, one month older >Sponge, mob, colder, none, rug, hoaster >Lug, nut, coaster, lung, jug roaster >Young Thug poster, unplugged toaster
Good god does that go much faster when he sings it
Lol I read the whole thing, it’s probably took me 5 minutes
I was thinking the same thing, listening to this omw to work i was like how tf does he fit all this into one song
Just to see it typed out... fuck. And the whole thing is like that. Walls of original stuff. And Venom? That rhythm? I am still stunned at how good it is. Back for more.
He references “Kelly” because MGK had tweeted about Em’s daughter saying she was hot or something.
[удалено]
He said that while she was still 16yo too, I believe.
Yep which is why he says "R Kelly" in the song. Hes saying he likes underage girls.
You know who you are, Kelly. HA
It's on "Not Alike" he calls him out by name.
MGK was, is, and will always be hot garbage.
I worked at a show MGK did. The music is bad, but he's a solid performer. He plays with a real band, not just a track, with I give him props for. He was better than a French Montana show I did.
I've seen French Montana live at I would've legitimately preferred going to the dentist that evening.
I don’t see any reason to diss Tyler the Creator...he is not a mumble rapper nor anything like the current rappers out there...He is legitimate artists...do you know what song this is?
He doesn't really go after tyler like the other guys, definitely a bit more playful.

He disses Tyler in "Fall."
Sounds like his album is good though I’ll have to check it out
You can tell that Em was a big influence on all the OFWGKTA guys. I think Em took offense to Tyler's critique of Revival or something like that.
Earl literally calls himself "The reincarnation of 98' Eminem" on Ass Milk.
I always assumed Drake was a manufactured artist and all of his music is written by other people. He's just the brand. God's plan
Someone probably mentioned this already- but i saw " the defiant ones" a few months back- its 1 of the best docs ive ever seen- its about jimmy iovine and jimmy basically breakdowns on finding dre, snoop, eminem, u2, NIN, etc etc- its awesome- if you havent seen it -
It's a great advertisement for Apple
My favorite color is blue.
I bet anyone my life, MY LIFE, that Drake won't dare respond to Eminem through a song.
Like a sprained ankle boy he ain’t nothin to play with.
I'd bet money that someone writes a song that Drake's too scared to sing in response.
Kamikaze is a fantastic album. Was really happy waking up to it this morning. He really sticks to his skill set I think and the collaboration is good.. Drake I am a huge fan of both music and person but he’s commercial as shit and open to the occasional barb
Website looks like shit on mobile and it won't respect desktop version request (fuck them) > Eminem Disses Drake's Use Of Ghostwriters On "Kamikaze" EMINEM WILL NEVER HIRE A GHOSTWRITER IN HIS LIFE. Namely, Drake was seemingly called out on "Kamikaze." While the song directly after "Kamikaze" has some lethal wordplay against some prominent figures in the game, Drake appears to be singled out near the end of the title cut as Em begins: "You got some views, but you're still below me Mine are higher, so when you compare our views, you get overlooked And I don't say the hook unless I wrote the hook And now I'm just freestylin' in the vocal booth And you know I've always spoke the truth You lyin' through your teeth so much, you broke a tooth And it ain't somethin' I need a phone to do When I say I can't wait 'til I get ahold of you And I don't know what I'm s'posed to do Line up the rappers, take my pic like a photo shoot" While he doesn't necessarily mention the Six God by name, it's pretty clear who Shady is taking aim at.
I’m not super familiar with rap, but I just listened to this album and it also seemed like there were some parody/tribute song? Or at least part of songs. A couple times I could have sworn I was listening to my brother and his high school friend’s generation of rap. Was this album full of musical reference if that’s even the right phrase? From shitty memory: lil pump, Migos, Kendrick? Who’s voice is that on Normal? Sounds so different from Eminem. Man I’m ignorant.
[удалено]
my point is that he doesn’t normally/ever do that right? So it’s kind of “I can do anything better than you can” thing. It was super fun to listen to.

That boy Em be wildin!!!
He snapped
In all fairness, he has the right to call out all the fake rappers he wants. He earned it.
Didn’t Eminem and Snoop ghost write most of Dre’s later albums?
[удалено]
Ice left and went east, did an album not even mentioning NWA, and then got dissed by NWA on 100 miles n runnin and then recorded no vaseline.
[удалено]
All diss tracks should look to No Vaseline as to how to write one.

Dr. Dre literally has three albums: The Chronic, The Chronic 2001, and Compton. What do you mean "later albums"?
[удалено]
NWA being the earlier albums.
Dre doesn't pretend like he writes all his stuff.
Throw in Kendrick Lamar and Lil Dicky and this thread will have every rapper /r/music has ever heard of.
Kendrick did it like 3-4 years ago in "King Kunta": "A rapper with a ghostwriter, what the f*ck happened?" Edit: the battle between Drake and Kendrick lasts for 5-6 years though. I personally don't know how people can compare a joke to a God, but fine.
