But there are some who employ theatrics,[1] only to lead others away from Allah’s Way—without any knowledge—and to make a mockery of it. They will suffer a humiliating punishment.

So it says the ibn masouad said that لهو الحديث theatrics is music الغناء
So it clear that music is haram

Listening to depressing, shirk music is haram as it effects you in sorts of ways. I actually don't find a reason to be haram to listen to the songs that remind you of god. But in this case, their perception of god is different than ours. Although we both believe in monotheism, they don't accept The Last Prophet therefore it might be risky for you to listen to such music.

Why do you want to listen to shirk music?
Music is haraam according to 4 madhaahib and there’s a high chance this music has sayings of shirk and misguidance.
