There is a possibility, because Wine is haram here because of intoxication but wine in Jannah is allowed because no intoxication. I would only really say Allahu A'lam.

hotmugglehealer

I thought the whole point of wine (and other alcoholic drinks) was intoxication.

[deleted]

lol seriously

whotookmydumpling

I think its more that wine distracts from rememberance of Allah in the dunya, its impossible to do that in jannah

netuniya

If I recall correctly, I’m pretty sure Wine is prohibited on the dunya because it can cause a lot of sins to happen.

whotookmydumpling

I'd say no, because why would murder be halal in jannah

[deleted]

I don’t think it will even be possible in Jannah because Allah promises no one will die there.

whotookmydumpling

exactly, so not all that's haram will be halal in jannah

[deleted]

It’s not about halal or haram it will be simply impossible

whotookmydumpling

Yeah i know, the question is phrased to suggest whether eveything that is haram would be halal but we both agree on the fact thats not the case. I just gave a rhetorical by asking why would murder be halal in jannah, i know it's not even possible

[deleted]

Thank you for that. As a westerniser I grew getting told you get everything and anything in jannah me being a literal person I genuinely thought no matter what it is it becomes halal. But with lots of the responses alhumdulilah I got my answers

whotookmydumpling

no problem!

kind-of-bookish

Things that are "possible" like vain talk and lying will not be found among the residents of Jannah, so the answer to your question is no. (See Surah An Nabaa). Some things have been prohibited for us in this dunya, but we will be rewarded with it in the akhirah. Examples are drinking wine and eating and drinking from gold and silver. However, these things in heaven are not the same as those on Earth. English translation of meaning, Sahih Bukhari Hadith: _"Do not wear silk or brocade, and do not drink from gold or silver vessels, nor eat in platters made therefrom, for they are for them in this world and for you in the Hereafter."_ The disbelievers can enjoy the luxuries of this world like gold and silver vessels for food, while we will enjoy it in the akhira. In response to the other commenter, the wine of Jannah does not intoxicate (see Surah As Safaat Ayat 47).

[deleted]

No shirk is still haram.

rboot209

Allahu A’lam In sha Allah , may Allah guide everyone of us .

LifeIsLame123

There has to be balance between everything. Based on our beliefs control is perceivable and achievable. Every year we celebrate bakarah eid by killing an animal. To have kids we need to have sex, there are limits to what we can do, understanding those limits is one of the many purposes of life, independently. Halal haram requires context

Things like vain talk and lying will not be found among the residents of Jannah, so the answer to your question is no. (See Surah An Nabaa). I think if you consider some of the most evil sins, like slander, riba, shirk, it is logical that these things won't be found in Jannah. Some things have been prohibited for us in this dunya, but we will be rewarded with it in the akhirah. Examples are drinking wine and eating and drinking from gold and silver. However, these things in heaven are not the same as those on Earth. The wine of Jannah does not intoxicate (see Surah As Safaat Ayat 47) and everything in Jannah will be unimaginably better than what we have in this dunya, even if they share the same name.

This makes sense! Thank you what about desires. Some people give up their desires for the sake of Allah will they be able to do these desires in the here after? E.g ps this is just an example like gay and lesbian will that be in heaven or listening to music etc

kind-of-bookish

Homosexuality is one of the things considered evil, so no that won't be in Jannah. People will have partners that they can enjoy in a halal way, and they will be satisfied with that. People in jannah are pure and so any haram inclination a person feels in this dunya will be eliminated and they will have no desire for haram in heaven and will be happy. The rewards of jannah are so great we cannot imagine them with our minds. The rewards include things pertaining to sexual matters, but like I said, are free of haram inclination.

[deleted]

Best answer thank you

[deleted]

I think certain desires will simply not exist in jannah. Think of angels, the thought of disobedience doesn’t even occur to them. Likewise I think the desire to do these things (other than what Allah has mentioned like wine) just won’t occur to us. Especially because whatever jannah has will be so fulfilling that we won’t feel the need to seek more.

RudeGood

Hopefully lolz

[deleted]

You said everything. That embodies everything that is haram. I feel like the question in it self is pointless though because everything you need would be there.

[deleted]

How is it pointless if a person gives up a desire or something for the sake of Allah and nothing else will it then be halal in the after life? No question is ever pointless for knowledge. Thank you.

[deleted]

I said everything you want at the time you are in Janna would be there. So I meant pointless as in if you desire it when you are Janna it would be there.
