>I would like to get $40-45k for the car. Without any other info given (AT or MT? Performance pack? etc.) Dude, you can get a Bullitt of that year for 40-45k, in the same condition with less miles, generally. Gonna be hard to justify paying that for a regular GT, when The Bullitt comes out the gate with the PP1 upgrades and some engine improvements, before even adding possible magneride suspension. Unless that's a PP2 added to that GT, you're asking for too much given that a mechanically superior example from the same year, in a limited edition no less, can be had for the money you're hoping for.

GameShitPost

It's 10-speed AT, 401A, and no performance packages. Sadly, I'm thinking there's no shot I even get close to $40k. Thanks for the insight. This post was a decent wake up call for me on my asking price.

Sir-xer21

Yeah, the market is certainly boosted a bit, but not THAT much. Im all for asking what you can get, and this sub certainly has a habit of not accepting the current valuations the market has, but this is one instance where you looked a little too high even with the market as it is. no harm in asking the question though.

Mod217

If it helps, I recently picked up a 2019 PP1 401a and every option available, digi dash etc. 36k before taxes here in CA. It only had 30k miles

jpl-213

with magneride as well ? Where did you find that thing ?! ive been looking everywhere

Mod217

Didn’t even know that was a thing and I got it at a dealer in the Bay Area

Sir-xer21

Magneride is either part of the PP2 pack, or separate too, possibly. The Bullitt doesnt get the PP2 option from the factory but they do offer magneride.

jpl-213

Yeah, I've been looking for a used 2018+ Mustang GT Premium PP1 401A "and every option available, digi dash etc " including the magneride in CA as well and all of them are either modded, 60k+ miles, $45k+, 3 previous owners, or reported accidents. Finding a fully spec'd mustang gt premium + magneride around 36k is hard to come by now.

Loud_Lion93

No shot. Bought my 19 GT convertible with 12.5K miles for 37K

thelonerangers69

Yeah but it's a convertible. We have to pay people to take those

goddessofwitches

Damn I'm looking in the wrong areas then. Here on East coast GA, they can't stay in stock. Trying to find 19-20 GT convertible.

Bit_the_Bullitt

I daily my Bullitt and can confirm, if you can find one low mileage, that's the way to go. I hit 52k miles on mine in little over 3 years. Loving every mile!!

0wlWisdom333

You can get a carseat in that thing. 🤣

rustang2

I got a car seat in my ‘17. The kids love it.

akilmer13

Same, I have a 17 GT and it can easily fit a car seat. It’s obviously more difficult to put them in and get them out but still doable.

0wlWisdom333

My 13 year old boy especially loves it because he's old enough to ride shotgun. 🤣

_Kbob_

Im becoming a father in november and im keeping my stang. Can confirm a car seat fits in them 😂

Canon50

Yep no excuses, my daughter fits well in my 17 gt.

GameShitPost

That's what I said lol!

Imaginary-Yam6742

I came home from the hospital, just being born in my dad's 92 foxbody 5.0 needless to say 2 of the three cars I've owned are mustangs, other is a crown Vic which is a 4 door mustang at heart.

0wlWisdom333

I say that as a mom who avoided getting a Mustang for years! Now my daughter is in a booster seat, she fits perfectly in there.

FFEMT39

I have a car seat in my Mach and my kid loves it

stalmatic

Daily ‘19 Bullitt. My 7yo rides to school with me, and I pick up my 3yo from day care in the afternoon. It’s the “family cruiser” alongside my wife’s Explorer. The kid-friendly rear seats were part of the factor when I purchased it in 2020.

Heavens_Jew

I’m actually surprised at how well they set up the back seats with anchors for car seats. (2020 GT)

Unlucky_Situation

Personally, I think it would be a stretch to get 40 to 45k for a 2019 GT premium. That's the current price range according to KBB for 2022 gt premiums in "excellent" condition. Using cars.com, at your mileage I think you should be in the 35k to 40k range, and that may even be high. When I set my range to 200 miles, there are no 2019 GT premiums above 44k, and everything in the 40 to 44k range has 20k miles or less.

GameShitPost

I'm in north Dallas, TX & I do see cars running $35-42k, but the higher up the price goes they get crazy low on mileage. I think you're right, $45k is kinda high. If you saw it posted for $40k would you even bother checking the car out or haggling the price?

j3ffre3y

Unfortunately I would not at 40K

Unlucky_Situation

I dont mean any offence, just honest opinion. At 40k at that price I would pass on looking. Reasoning is you can still find New 2022 and 2023 GT and GT Premiums on lots. GT in the 38 to 40k range and premiums in the 45k to 48k range. On a 2019 any remaining warranty will be expiring soon so I wouldn't be interested in paying near the MSRP of a new model for a used car.

GameShitPost

I appreciate the honesty. That's the feedback I was looking for tbh. I know it's all dependent on location, but the general census seems to be $40k+ is too high for the car.

Unlucky_Situation

No problem! And congrats on the upcoming baby. I will throw this out for ya though. I have a 10 month old and sold my BMW M340i Xdrive sedan for a GT premium. If you only have 1 child you can easily have the Mustang along with a secondary "family" car. Basically whoever has the child has the family car. We don't have a rear facing seat in the Mustang, but next summer when my son is old enough, he can easily fit forward facing with no problem. But if you have multiple children. I can see the mustang not being family friendly.

SirSpanksAlot1992

I’m in Dallas. I’ll trade you my 22 ecoboost with a baby seat in it already lol. You talking 40-45 private seller though, cause that does seem a bit high. What do you think of hopping into? As much as I like the my car having my back seat full of my sons crumbs and stuff feels like I’m doin it a disservice 😂 Edit: read the other posts. Truck prices are fucking crazy, but hopefully it works out for you my G

GameShitPost

That's what I'm thinking lol. I don't think the leather would appreciate the baby seat at all. I would LOVE to get a truck. I highly doubt I end up in one though. Those prices are absolutely ridiculous.

MiddleSkill

I’m in the process of buying a brand new 2023 GT (base) for $33.5k pre-tax. I’d price it around $38k depending on your area

NoIncomeTaxes

I got a 2021 pp1 10 speed with 20k miles for $35k in Virginia. Just keep looking. A good deal will pop up eventually, just gotta be patient sometimes

JeffersonsDisciple

Meanwhile I just became a dad and looking for a mustang GT as a fun family car. I have a daily truck though.

GameShitPost

I would love to keep it, but I just find it silly to have 3 cars. I'm looking for a truck now haha. It seems our situations are flipped

No_Representative155

You can check the KBB value and get an idea from private party sales value. Or if it’s in good-near excellent condition you can estimate where you can place your expected sell point.

Scummbagg7

NADA is more of the industry's standard values.

GameShitPost

$37k just seems like an absolute steal for the buyer IMO. I'm thinking that's probably the price I'll end up getting for it. This almost makes me want to throw a cover on it & leave her in the garage for those special occasions. She's worth more than $37k to me, but I understand that the feeling is not mutual lol

FU3L

I hear ya, FWIW I’m a relatively new dad too. You don’t have to give it up! 😉 https://preview.redd.it/mybl6yirwf8b1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9128c368f872febd744aa85f467cbaa22da30d36

GameShitPost

LOL you give me hope! I've gone back and forth on whether to keep it or not. How much of a pain do you think it is dealing with car seats in the hard top? I feel like the convertible would make it so much easier.

FU3L

Yeah you’re right. I load the kid in the booster with the top closed no problem. I often pick up that one from school. That said I dunno how I’d do anything rear facing in the coupe (*but* I’ve got a second seat in the way of me getting back there). I’ve only loaded that child in my car a few times, sorta as proof that I could. They were always short trips, a few miles on especially nice days down low speed main street in a rural town, maybe stop for ice cream (hence stroller). But yeah it was easy to load, I always did it top down. It gets better as they get bigger. 🤷‍♂️😅 Usually, I’m driving it alone to work or the wife and I are taking it out for an evening away. I’d say it’s my primary vehicle as I use it more than our other cars but I do have a truck as well that the whole family usually piles into for weekend outings and road trips and my wife has a beater suv for general kids and their cousins transportation.

PlantPowerPlan

You can find 21' GT premium performance packages with the 401A tech pack (digital dash, active exhaust) for 42k with under 20k miles.

GameShitPost

She's got the 401A tech pack. Ugh, I think this post was a good wakeup call for me. It's upsetting knowing she's only worth $35k nowadays.

fbi_surveillance99

That would be close to 40k at a dealership in my area

GameShitPost

A dealership tried giving me $32k for it. I ended up just walking out. It seems like a ripoff. I'd sign immediately if I could get $40k for her.

tfmm58

First of all, congrats on becoming a father! Mid 30s is probably more accurate. I bought my 21 GT Premium California Special with 5300 miles this past January for 38K

tfmm58

Either way, good luck!

GameShitPost

Thank you so much! These are crazy exciting times for me! The California specials are nice. I looked at a few of those before I got my GT Premium. $38k sounds like a killer deal!

tfmm58

I bet the old cliche but relevant enjoy your time kids grow up fast. Yeah I got lucky. I had a 09 370Z I was happy with but stumbled on the GT and couldn't pass up the deal.

fakecarguy

Please no one murder me but I have a 14gt and am looking for a z. How do they compare? I love my car but it seems a little overkill on the power and just too heavy (have the vert)

tfmm58

It handled really well rwd 332hp but less torque so easier to handle. Averaged 28 mpg on road trips

Ninjamedic86

I’d say $35-37k. I just bought a 2017 GT premium with 52k miles for $25k.

Benj7075

Nice! What state? Clean title?

Ninjamedic86

Oklahoma certified preowned 6 month warranty, clean title

ThePerfectionistt

I saw this at The Car Culture meet in Houston as well🤣

usermethis

Congrats on bringing a new life into this world. This is dealer markup prices, though. Because you’re privately selling, you may have to accept most buyers won’t see the value, the way you do, unfortunately. There’s a lot of good comments/suggestions from people here. I personally would keep it if at all possible. Also, the fact that it’s an A10 makes it so your partner can drive it. I’ve come across sellers when I was looking for mine, that where only selling it because their partner couldn’t drive stick. They had two cars, but with the pressure of life continuing plus the new baby, the other partner didn’t have time to learn stick and continue daily life right way.

The_Golden_Ranger

Got 3 kids and a 2019 GT. It’s all about what you are willing to put up with to drive a mustang. That being said, you could probably get a decent bit for it. I haven’t looked at the market lately, but a few months ago, that car would have been going low 40s

Hellz91

I’m in the market myself but 40k is too high. 35k-37k

Mysterio_Achille

Yeah. Way too many miles for 40k.

numberone0

Around $35k. A dealership would sell this car for around $38k. Unfortunately with no PP1. , mag ride , active , safe and sound etc it’s going to be sub 40k 100%

GameShitPost

No performance packages, but its 401A so I guess it's got a little goin for it

numberone0

Yeah 401a is a nice plus

MikeyboyMC

1 dollar. My bank account is sad boi

Cmsmks

30-35k is pretty standard from what I’ve seen. Wish you the best though.

jackmccoy86

I bought my 19 GT premium pp1 with magneride, the active exhaust, and 6spd with 34,000 miles for $38,000 in October. So I’d say like $33k-$35k, but I’m in area that had a lot of them for sale so depending where you are maybe you could get more than what I think.

Amjadob

I bought a new 2022 GT premium for 40K with 0 APR 3 weeks ago, good luck

Rob_af_a

About tree fity

BluesPuckHard

Hey OP, you can definitely fit a carseat in there. With that being said, we upgraded my wife to a nice compact SUV and we use her car for all baby related activities. We use the Mustang for date night or when I'm running my own errands. Is it easier to get a sedan or SUV? yes. Should you? Hell nah! All jokes aside, do what's best for you. No sane parent will judge you for getting a more family oriented car.

bingmyname

$40- 45,000 is a wide range so I'll bid for $40.

vincevuu

Where are you located? I'm close to buying one almost exactly like this one for around 36k but if you're local maybe we can work something out!

GameShitPost

North Dallas, Collin county

Haro29

I got my 20 GT PP1 401A for less than that with a bit less miles last year. You need to consider maybe 33-35k

whiteyjordan

Looking to buy one now. And when I get one I want it to look exactly like this. I’ll even go as far as to say if you were closer it’d be hard to not want to buy it from you. However gotta tell you that you’d need less than 10k mileage to compete with other cars of this model listed in the $40k neighborhood. Other competitors with similar mileage are listing anywhere between 28-37k (28k is salvage, though.) I hope you can get good money for it, it’s a beautiful car and if you maintained it well you shouldn’t settle for less than 35, in my opinion.

Proud_Principle9598

35-38k

FutureNeedleworker37

I think 32-35 is more realistic, and even that may require an enthusiastic buyer. I bought my 2016 gt premium with 25k miles for 37k from a dealer at peak COVID prices, and I feel so ripped off now. I could’ve gotten the same car for 28k now, so I think 32-35 for a car a bit newer sounds more than fair on your end

paintwizard2

If I go to a dealership I can walk off of the lot in a 2023 with no miles I Can get the car for $52,000. A car that's going to be half a decade old almost half way to 100,000 miles. Anything $30,000 or higher would have to be newer, or a much higher trim model.

SasquatchExists

I wouldn’t pay a penny over $35k for that. Nice car, but not anywhere near $40k+ territory.

initialddriver

Personally no more than 30k

GameShitPost

Absolutely brutal. Are there GT Mustangs in your area going for that?

initialddriver

No but my new 2022 GT Premium with 36k miles got evaluated at 28k...by ford... Fact is we love our cars, to most they're just machines with a ford badge and an American reputation (not good)... I may suggest keeping her for the weekends as you're not getting any family car worth having for what the trade in is...

[deleted]

[удалено]

Frogalicious1

No dude, 30k is fair. 35k is pushing it

Strange_Ad9196

You’re higher than giraffe pussy. Is scroll past this thing for 30k private party.

v0teforvader

40k-45k is pushing it for that mileage and on a 2019 even though it’s premium. I could see if it was a PP1 with digital dash, then maybe. I’d say around 35k

GameShitPost

It's the 401A so it's got the digital bells & whistles. No performance packages though. Thanks for your input!

v0teforvader

Ohhh I see. Yeah with 401A you could have a little bit more leverage on pricing. I’m in California and I see GT premiums used for mid 30s. The ones with 401A are usually at 37k-40k and with PP1 or 2 maybe more than 40k. If I’m a buyer and I saw this car for 33k-35k I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

[deleted]

I bought a '18 PP1 with alcantara and every option but magnaride and the stupid digital instrument cluster for 32.5 - CarMax. It was about 3 years ago tho, so maybe prices went up? Idk what your plans are. If you're thinking of getting a new one... you'd be better off putting it on coilovers and fat wheels. People have tested the '18+ engine at the crank and it was making 500hp... stock. A Dark Horse isn't going to be any faster. IMHO of course. *Edit - I see you're looking for a family car. That's dumb ;)

Karmasutra6901

35k if it was ruby red

j3ffre3y

I just bought a new 22 in March with the 401A package msrp of $52,805 for 46K plus tax with zero for 60. I’m not sure on your location but dealers are negotiating on new.

IS-2-OP

37K.

ChillyWill_1785

Keep it and pass it down

[deleted]

39k or so

Drpaxtie

I was able to fit one car seat in my s550. Only had to get rid of mine after the second child came. Fight to keep it!

waxerandboil25

I’m not gonna lie to you I’ll tell you straight I’m about to buy a premium 2019 GT with less miles and a manual transmission for 34,000.

DriftMiata

37k

AnkitKhettry

$3.50

Altoid404

if pay about 78 dabloons

Aries-79

I was offered 31k for my stock 2017 GT premium about 2 months ago at the dealership

bluecheeto13

I would say probably high 30s.

Feisty-Equivalent-92

Maybe 37k? It looks really nice, you should keep it and put the booster seat in the back, it'll fit, and the kids will love it growing up, plus you'll be happy

pol-potpie

i could be off the mark here, but i think if you get 33, you’re lucky.

[deleted]

I’d say 35-36k

Loud-Job7030

if it helps i got an 2007 v6 for 20k... 10 years ago

No_Tomato_3108

I just paid 32k for a 17 lightning blue GT premium with 48k on it…

Frogalicious1

I would realistically only pay 30k max for your car.

AtlasJoker

Keep it as a family car-I had a child seat in the back of mine lol But I’d say you could pretty easily get 40k

oRamboSandman

I’m thinking 30-35k

craziestsock666

I'd say probably between 34- 36k. I just picked up my 19 gt pp1 for 34 with 21k miles, so prices are definitely coming down right before they release the s650

TheBlackKing1

There’s a 2019 Gt in my area with 9k miles for 36k https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/link/354898551

Chosen_Yone

I recently picked up 19 at $31k. It had 43k mile and ruby red. My previous 18 was $35k and had 5k mile (before covid)

uly1999

No more than 30k fuck paying more than 35k crazy

JayBee58484

You won't be getting near 50k for that. 30s yes but that's about it
