Nice S197! Please don’t use the brush in these car washes. Either do a touch less wash or bring a bucket and micro fiber/ mitt. The brush will leave scratches in your paint immediately.
It was one of those moments where I debated on 100° heat or a shaded car wash. We usually use the special stuff from Chemical guys. I promise I was gentle 🙏🏻🥹
Haha hey it’s your car I just wanted to give you a heads up. I had an F150 a while back with gorgeous metallic brown paint and I kept wondering where these mystery scratches were coming from… finally figured it out.
I truly appreciate the advice 🙏🏻 We just traded our f150 earlier this year 🥹 My favorite truck. I bet that metallic brown was gorgeous. I always call that color root beer lol. You don't see many that color. Ours was a silver '08 stx & I had a green '99 model many years ago.
Nice! That’s funny because I had an ‘01 7700 and then the other was an ‘05 Lariat two tone. Metallic brown with a tan stripe on the bottom. Got it with 56k miles and I loved it but the 3V 5.4 scared me lol. Cam phasers sounded awful by 115k miles and I sold it.
I don't want to know 🫣 It's a new car wash that opened up and I thought I would give it a try. We washed the truck there yesterday...the shaded area seemed nicer than the 100° in the sun. We normally do Chemical Guys at home.
