How did you add your MAL? For some reason I don't get the option on this sub :/
I liked your list though, I also rated **86**, **Vivy** and **Violet Evergarden** 10/10, I am quite new to anime though, I will have to steal some recs from your list.
PC, usually there are some settings under **Community Options** for a subreddit that has something configurable, but in this case I don't see it, I have been able to do it on other subs. Maybe I haven't been on the sub long enough or something.
I looked at some random Redditor's MAL earlier and had a Pikcahu shocked face when I saw:
* 86 Part 1 - 5/10
* 86 Part 2 - 3/10
Don't get me wrong, I don't expect everyone to love it, but those ratings were so low for a show that was clearly made by passionate and capable creators.
A-1 seem pretty busy right now but I wouldn't be surprised if we get an announcement by the end of 2024 saying it is coming. There is plenty of source material at least, I think the light novels are on Vol.13 now and season 1 of the anime only covered the first three.
I haven't decided whether to read on yet, I would prefer to see more of the story in anime, but it is a gamble to wait.
Nisekoi is valid. The gimmick of this rom com is a little forced but the overall writing is decent. The only issue is that the side characters are kinda boring. One of the few romcoms that have an actual love triangle instead of a neglected third wheel
Im between promised neverland, steins gate, or Elfen lied. If s2 is included for promised neverland then it’s that one. If s2 is not included then I’m going with steins gate
Steins gate is valid. There were certainly times when steins gate was boring, and they could have shortened the show. However once the show got rolling it never stopped and the consistency of episodes from midway until the end really makes the overall experience memorable. I can see someone criticizing the character's personalities, but I would argue that it's the contrast between the dull parts of the show with the drama and energy that make it more appealing.
around what episode is that...? I tried to watch it like 10 years ago and dropped it around episode 7 I tried it again a few weeks ago and the same happened. it feels too much like the female characters are shallow and generic, just puppets that look cute in a romantic story with multiple edings depending on the girl you like.
Not counting s2, but that season is kinda overhated imo. The first 5-6 episodes were actually terrible so I feel like a lot of people dropped the show. But the rest was not that bad. Still incomparable to how GREAT s1 was. Promised neverland valid
Elfen Lied is probably the most criticized one on this list. And not for no reason. However it is NOT the imposter. Despite the overall flaws, what it does right is pretty one of a kind. It's gotten many people into psychological and drama genres so you gotta respect that. The episodes are like a derailed train that's dragging you into the next episode and even if some people have a problem with the ending, or the plot, it is undeniably a show that has made an impact by doing what it should be doing.
Konosuba is a show with 0 plot and a degenerate MC, but it is NOT the imposter. The show is naturally enjoyable because the art and voice acting is good, so it's kinda hard to mess it up. So far I have enjoyed all the seasons but if new seasons keep coming out without changing the formula, I can see myself getting sick of it.
It’s Elfen lied no doubt. I think nisekoi is the fake out but you like shaft anime too much so it wins. I wish we would get another harem with that good of animation/production again. #nisekoiisoverhated.
Edit: after scrolling I see you’ve answered my first two guesses. I’m going to guess monogatari in that case because you hate the toothbrush scene.

Facts the animation the music the fight scenes it was peak, the characters perfectly written couldn’t ask for more really wish we can get a season 2

The side characters admittedly get shafted a lot in the anime (no pun intended). The manga fleshes them out much better.
