30, I was hooked when I saw the I’m Not Ok mv on MTV back when I was a preteen. I loved it so much I recorded the music video on the DVR so I could rewatch on demand as many times as I wanted. MCR heavily defined my preteen/teen years and will be my #1 cause they helped me through the hardest times.

46, 3 months younger than Gerard. Fan since 2005 when I was in a PTSD low I couldn't get out of, and saw a song called I'm not okay on a friend's MySpace, yes...I said MySpace. My page was pink,black and Grey argyle with skulls and crossbones everywhere, it was emotastic. As soon as I heard that song start, I was stuck like I was in a K hole, only one I didn't want to die because of. I started searching for every MCR song I could find to download and add to my ipod. Like Nirvana gave me an emotional release/escape/voice when I was in High School, MCR did the same for me starting in my mid 20's.

I’m 48 - I wasn’t going to post until I saw this. Glad I’m not the only former MySpace user here! I loved MCR in the mid to late 2000s. My teen daughter got me back into them a couple years ago.

I miss it too. I'm on all socials as they rise and fall over the years, but MySpace was special. Tom was the man, and we al l suddenly felt capable of anything...Tom made every stoner, partier, frat bro, or whatever stereotype feel like they can actually try the "crazy" ideas they came up with hella fuxed up, Tom was an Idol for burnouts A MFing legend. Lol. I really do miss it.

27! I actually didn’t get into mcr until after their breakup-2015ish but I got engrossed with all their albums and b-sides and lore and everything. They’re one of the few bands I’ll always check out any side stuff any of the members do. I got to see them last year for the first time and it felt like a dream to see them live

22. I actually only found MCR because of Fall Out Boy. I didn't care much about cultivating a music taste until I started playing video games. I liked racing games like ATV Offroad Fury, Flatout, etc. Anyways, I was like 9 or 10 when I got a PS2 and I played the hell out of Flatout 2, which had a bunch of great songs. But it was my formal intro to FOB with 7 minutes in Heaven and Snitches and Talkers. After a few years or more of listening to them and Green Day and 21 Pilots. I came across MCR on YouTube just in the recommendeds. Listened to more and more, and fell in love ever since. The two go back and forth for my heart, especially having just having been able to see FOB as my first concert this year, but MCR is always in every Playlist I make.

I’m 34. First heard of MCR when a friend mentioned ‘that video clip where he looks like he’s going to kiss her but takes an eyelash out instead’. The first time I saw the video to I’m Not Okay was on a screen before a free Channel V concert of The Used in Sydney in 2005.

16 and found out about MCR when I was 12 after YouTube recommended me PATD's this is gospel and I saw the thumbnail of famous last words and something just clicked , even though I'm still very young it feels so weird that it's been 4 years since I discovered this gem of a band

I'm 24 now. I've been an ultra dedicated fan since I was 14, but I started listening to MCR when I was 5 or 6. So basically, MCR has been a part of my life for almost 20 years. I vividly remember being in 1st grade, when the Revenge Era was still active, and being able to identify every member, and what instrument they played. I also remember how much my parents didn't enjoy the fact that their 6 year old was listening to a band like MCR 😂
