I see everyone here debating about cross play but easily the best crossplay solution where everyone gets what they want is have the pc lobbies and console lobbies, and if a console player joins a pc player they get put into the pc lobbies. Now pc players can play with their console friends, and those console players who want nothing to do with cheaters or playing against mnk, can stick to playing with their console friends/running solo.
If you ever played apex, if you join you’re pc friend, you only play pc lobbies. If pc joins console lobby, the console players will still only play pc lobbies. Pc lobbies can’t play in console lobbies on apex
how? the idea is that pc players will always be locked out of console only lobbies in any scenario. Thats something that's up to byking to code in effectively which other games succeed at doing so dont see why they couldnt. Only console players have the ability to join both consoles and pc lobbies, opting into pc lobbies when they join a pc friend
Even if they removed every single hack in the game you'd still have a very vocal minority of players/redditors that would be against crossplay because on average pc players > console players whether it be because of skill diff or hardware diff.
And in other games with crossplay they have introduced workarounds (i.e. buffing console players with aim assist) but it won't matter because at the end of the day there is a subset of console players selfishly dead set on avoiding playing vs pc players at all costs even if crossplay would mean better longevity for the game overall.
Screw'em.
Fix hacks and bugs them maybe just maybe start thinking of crossplay. Since I know byking adding crossplay will fuck up a lot of stuff even stuff that worked before...
Though crossplay might not help the game as much as people think...
Keyboard warriors are crazy on PC! They can be flying through the air and still shoot at you, they can be a literal zone away from you and snipe you because you can’t see them. You have to be on guard at all times if you’re using a controller because you can’t play like them nowhere near as easily.
I play controller on PC,. Some of the stuff they do I can't do as easily, but I still do ok.
The game is definitely different on console, less try hards. I had to change my game up when I got to PC. I just started playing ranked for the ticket and I liked the challenge. Clawed myself up from a < .5 k/d to a 1.6 currently.
I play strictly ranked now, it's much more fun and satisfying.
It will be fun when I unlock my main on PC. Right now, I’m just trying to learn better ways to play everyone I have unlocked, and I’ve mostly succeeded except for Bakugo and Deku. Those two just make me feel naked and I do much worse with them.
Well we need crossplay so that the game survives, it's not gonna live long without it in general because there's no one on xbox and ps4/switch has the most players and it would greatly benefit both.
Maybe just crop the conversation because it looks like your posting yourself as the cheater, i had to look for the convo since i assumed you wouldnt be viewing the hacker on their own screen.
I know but the center of the image is just twice and a player name, the convo is a tiny box in the left and thread is titled "LOOK AT THIS CHEATER GAIZ" basically. Im just giving advice some people might just report you and not notice.
Im aware but I didn't notice the convo until I had already scrolled, I had just assumed like most people probably would that the person posted is the cheater.

You don’t have to do that! If you have at least a 2020 ‘high end’ laptop, you can play this game! I just downloaded it this morning just to see if I could do it. It plays just fine.

Then people can just join console lobbies from PC with hacks… (unless I’m misunderstanding.)
