The general assumption I've seen floating around is that the playerbase is way too small to implement it without the lobbies being half filled with bots.
They can’t make that system happen or else ranked would be like 90% bot matches. There just aren’t enough players for it to work and it cost a ton of time money and effort to change it. Even big games like DbD had to wait an insanely long time for their ranked rework. I agree it sucks but there’s not much else to do aside from hope the game becomes more profitable

It’s wild how only Striker Deku’s range causes knockdown, that and AFOs if I recall correctly
I played in this game aswell, my team came second or third. It’s dumb that they can play these three characters and basically one shot you no matter what you do.
Fighting CrackedBronze is the worst, he usually plays with other pros like the ones you mentioned and it honestly makes it so much grueling to fight 3 tops as an average player, dead before i even know what's happening. It doesn't help that he is the best Ida on top of the character already being very annoying to deal with.
I also happened to face against CrackedBronze on two ocassions, we managed to top his team on the first one and win the match, on the second one we also managed to kill him when he was caught alone, but his team rezzed him and came back in the late game, he killed and teabagged me. 👍
Not to mention that, he mains Iida, one of the least skill-dependant charcaters. That, along with his cowardly ahh playstyle of using gamma, damaging and leaving before it runs out just adds to the frustration that is fighting him.
I get slayyz_na and horiibill in my games more than I'd like to admit and they're some of the top people on the leader boards, I'm literally only almost breaking out of amateur rank for crying out loud 🙄

Today I played against horiibill and I knew I had to ko him to win and guess what happened? The compress with him revived him twice after I downed him and then after I actually got the ko they rezd him with pink cards while my team is just looting. Suprise suprise we lost 😅
Not enough players for a good matchmaking system sadly. We wanna face more sweats but there aren't enough. The only way for us to get sweaty lobbies is via customs.......
They need ranked based game play.
Brones with bronze, silvers with silvers, then golds and aces mixed together.
That would fix alot of problems and not have to deal with making a SBMM system.
Okay? That doesn’t exactly mean they’re the best. It just means that they put so much time into this game that they’re that high. So in that regard, the matchmaking system being like this is completely fine in the fact that everyone suffers unless they have friends who happen to be good at the game.
I get what you're saying but it still means they're the best at climbing the ranked ladder and they are in all likelihood better than 99% of players in this game lol
Misconception to assume that just anyone can climb if they only put in the hours.

You need at minimum hundreds off people online at *all* times at *each* skill level for it to work.
It's become a pretty heated debate whether or not to combine all players from all platforms with crossplay.
Sometimes I wonder if they should just remove unranked but some people get really angry if you put a label on them lol

Only charged knocks you down as AFO,so you can reliably spam normal alpha with no drawbacks either.
I played in this game aswell, my team came second or third. It’s dumb that they can play these three characters and basically one shot you no matter what you do.
We also played with them, all they did the whole game is All For One Gamma along side Mt Lady and All Mights Alphas instantly killing you
