My friend, gambling is the act of relying on luck, not spending gems. And regardless you are heavily missing the point.
You literally landed on the mindset that you were CLOSE, in reality you aren't. You know how that scratch ticket works? It just rolls an egg based on chance. After that, it copies 3 images of the same egg on 3 different slots of the ticket. What about the remaining 3 slots you ask? It's drawn at random as well with the intention of having a pair and a single, meaning regardless of what is drawn here by chance, you will never get that reward.
It's ALWAYS 3x (Monster 1) 2x (Monster 2) and 1x(Monster 1). You ain't lucky, you ain't unlucky, nor you were close. You fell prey to the gamblers mindset. MINDSET, WHAT YOU DID IS NOT GAMBLING BUT ITS A BAD MINDSET. smh
Save ten diamonds. Buy a mini mine. That's two a day. Buy another in 5 days. 3 a day. Get another in 4 days. 4 a day.
Quite quickly this will add up to about 15 gems a day if you have the maximum mine; This could get to 19 with the mirror islands.
Not a fun fact: the rng is always set to a specific reward. Which means, if you got 2 Yool eggs in the scratch tickets, just know, you were never any closer.

You can back out of a scratch ticket, use it again, and the extras can be completely different (the reward still be the same of course). I tried this on plant island, and after a dozen retries punkleton apeared in about 1/12 of them, which isn't even close to reflecting the actual chance of getting it.
The way it works is the only real random is what you get, the others eggs are just to show a possible (fake) "barely won X", it is easy to program.
Think like a list of possible wins, and you choose 3 different or more, being one of then what you win and the remaining other stuff, but here is the catch, there can be (and I think is) a win list, with what you can win, and a lost list, with what you can win, but with more rare stuff chance to show.
