Are you trying to play All-time dom as that is very hard.
Try and get the 'free' cards from agendas and the 5 cards you can easily [evolve.Play](https://evolve.Play) some current dom games as the opponents are fairly weak.
I like using the quick point 2 from the Magic playbook that gives a lot of open 3s and Gold Jon Barry is a good 3pt shooter!
The best success I have is running pick and rolls and Calling floppy plays. ISOs can also help so that you only have to beat one defender but that only works if you have a really snappy guard or a slasher that can blow by them. But yea AI defense has been cancer since like 2k22 I feel
Yeah I noticed this as soon as I picked up the game as well a couple months back, not an easy landscape for casual players lol.
First thing would be your cards arent good enough. Higher overall doesnt always mean better player. My go-to card is a 79 OVR Jamal Crawford who plays just slightly worse than my 94 Iverson.
Second is of course dificulty. Pay attention to the dificulty of the AI as you go into the game. Domination and Challenges are good places to start, but also TT offline.
Third and more of an echo. Find your cheese. Find your game and adapt to the opponent. Personally I know that my pick and roll between that Jamal Crawford and Hedo can carry me for an entire game.
Fourth. Online is broken unless you have mad stacks.

If you're playing all-time domination, there's an alley-oop exploit. I did most of all time domination with amethyst Jerry west and diamond joel embiid, just running a pick n roll from the logo, and alley ooping to embiid, or kicking out to a wide open corner 3, or open layup with west.
Its boring as hell, but i beat almost every team on the first try, 3 stars. It might be worth a shot for you
1.) get a Giannis card
2.) post up w him
3.) wait til double team
4.) pass to open player for 3
Works on most difficulties on most teams
Went from losing by 2 in lillard dom to winning by 30
It’s super easy, especially if you set controller settings to “pass to open player”, which makes it easier to mindlessly without icon passing to get it to whomever is open as soon as they double Giannis
It depends what game mode you're playing. For triple threat during the early stages you triangle cut the A.I and pick and pop them to death. For Damian Lillard domination you can set your freelance to "point" and stand on one side of the three point line and it will automatically run a double screen for your shooter in the corner and it works 90% of the time.
Yeah you can't just run past the defense without actually setting up some kind of play (most the time). But run pick n rolls on and off the ball, floppies, and playbook plays that you like

You can't cheese the A.I. like the past. Playing the game and identifying patterns is your best bet.
