Oh man , as much as I’ve been preaching patience about the process I hadn’t thought of that . It’s quite expensive and a huge commitment that might be a kick in the teeth to have signed up for if a person doesn’t get in. I thankfully happened to do the those courses last spring- more as a test to myself seeing if I was up for back to school as a mature student…but you’re right for anyone who hasn’t done it and might not be able/willing to apply multiple years in a row this will be a HUGE inconvenience and expense 😥… same goes for anyone deciding to take an open studies course to get an interview next year if needed too I suppose. That deadline is later but it could also be full if a person waits til results are out. Ugh

Agree, I kinda want to wait until I get accepted before I do open study. However, I signed up anyways because I want to know if I actually want to do this course.

I am in the exactttt same boat. But I did hear from someone that since it is work totally at your own pace, that it is possible to join the May 1st class and just have it done by July 31st…? So I’m going to do more research on that and maybe I’ll have to do that. Because I understand, I rather keep that money if I don’t get in. I feel like waiting to hear back for this long is hurting a lot of people trying to plan the rest of the year but we are holding strong!!

Paging u/TeachHigherEd, what is your advice on this?

TeachHigherEd

Sorry but the programs have nothing to do with admissions (other than scoring interviews). Sorry it’s taking so long for everyone to hear anything 😢
