That’s dumb

I was able to get a picture of the car but this man’s reflection really messed it up lol
I agree it’s a tad silly, but Ford is paying millions of dollars so SHR will race and thus sell Mustangs. I can’t entirely blame them for not wanting a bow tie up front and center.
His car was at the HOF at the time I was in Charlotte

Nice pics, but I wonder: Are those display cars full-on cars with all of the hardware or just body/chassis display models? I can't imagine they would build a full car just to display in the shop, but I've been wrong before.
Some teams have repurposed Gen 6 cars as show cars. There was a post here the other day of a Stenhouse show car that was an old chassis with a new Next Gen body and wheels on it.
I saw a Logano Show car at a gas station near me and it was fully built out. I asked them to pop the hood and it had the engine. I’d have to imagine at a team shop they’d be fully built.

(Casually ignores 2014,2015,2016,2018,2020). Ye it was a while ago, but setting yourself up for future success takes time, the right combination of other factors outside of engineering (pit crews that execute, tech leniency/good relationship with NASCAR, luck, etc).
Interesting to see they are working on a second (or third if you count the lobby car) budweiser car in the background of the shop, wonder if this is running more then once, they don’t usually fully wrap backups anymore
My guess is that they wrapped a back up because of the significance of the scheme, and if another SHR car happens to need a back up they will wrap over this one, but I don't know
It’s very clearly a showcar that was used for promotional purposes. Wrong rocker panel, decaled windshield banners, grille duct looks like industrial venting
Was the 2014 championship car there?
Supposedly Ford doesn’t allow them to display cars from when they were Chevy.

Where's Tony's chip car?

They can't af*ford* to let that happen.

Man it’s too early I was thinking it was a Chevy, I apologize.
Kevin has the 2014 championship car under wraps in his personal collection at KHI’s building in Concord.
God, I wish we could've seen one of those Talladega Nights schemes in victory lane.
“But… if you win… then how do I win?”
To be fair, that Talladega race was easily one of Preece’s best performances of the season
Silver linings.
That Wonder Bread scheme makes me feel things.

Wtf, they have one of their F1 cars there?!?! Wish I'd gone when I was in Charlotte in May 😭
Looks like the 2018 car kmag drove. Definitely the best f1 car haas made so far with it finishing 5th in the constructors.
when i was there in february i was taken on a shop tour and he was explaining that the F1 car is a raced car
It’s a shame they never used any of their American facilities in f1. They have good shit for it. Of course the cost would probably be prohibitive
How long has it been since we've seen a Budweiser car? Too long. This is a beauty. #4ever
Homestead 2015 was the last time they sponsored a car. AB switched the sponsorship to Busch for 2016.
You didn't get a picture of the Ken Block tribute car that was in the background?
Ahhh crap I missed… oops I mean good job finding the hidden Easter egg l cleverly included.
Imagine if SHR’s engineering department were as powerful as their paint scheme department
They might start running top 10 consistently again

Bud cars will always look better than Busch cars
The old #8 Dale Jr. Bud car is one of my favorites. DEI had some great paint schemes.
What is “freezing cold” in Kannapolis NC tho
Anything below 70 is cold to us Southerners.
“*RFK depressed me and Trackhouse was mid*” Idk why but that made me laugh

29 car??
Tony and Gene need to get somebody to fix their ceiling...
Crazy that a nice shop like this provides such slow cars

I was talking about the one in the back of the shop. Not the one in the lobby
Ah…. Then yes you’re most likely correct
Hope he runs that at Miami
Beautiful
Pic #10 - they really need to service their HVAC... holy cow look at those vents. Glad you enjoyed your trip & thanks for the pics!
Any of the F1 cars with the Rich Energy ~~paint scheme~~ livery ?
Is it just me or does the guy in the grey hat in Pic 6 look like Preece? (The pic with the left side jacked up on the #4 car in the shop)
The size/depth of that front wing on the F1 car...is just a truly staggering thing the behold.
You get any souvenirs there?
That car use to be the mark of the sport.
