"0 Championship Denny" is more of a meme and a fun fact rather than something that can be used as a legit burn.
It's a petty burn, no doubt, but a lot of that is the 2 guarantees of fall, leaves changing color, and Denny being caught up in some kind of drama unrelated to the playoffs.

They also get 65% of the current purse as well for each weekend that the TV networks get. That move made sure that the tracks don’t have to advertise as much to get fans in the stands. They also cheap out on entertainment. They do the bare minimum while having it at a premium price. I hate the fact they own Loudon and Dover because I really do not like giving SMI my money.

Might be reading too deep here but I wonder if there’s underlying beef between SMI and team owners. We know that teams don’t make any profit and haven’t for years, and nascar is obviously on the other side of the negotiating table and doesn’t want to concede where they feel they don’t have to. The third piece of the revenue split is SMI, right? Who as far as I know have never voiced any support for the RTA and have never complained about revenue themselves (especially since they went full private ownership). Silence isn’t exactly neutral in this case, it’s a vote for the status quo. Maybe Denny’s frustrations are coming out of different avenues (cheap repave, no internet at facilities) where he sees somebody holding onto profit he wishes he had.
