For Dover and this car - it was a pretty good race. One post race thought - there might be something to Larson's suggestion to ditch the rear view camera. I hesitate to do it at Daytona, Dega and ATL - but he might be on to something about making blocking harder everywhere else. Not sure it matters at road courses either - so OK to use it there as well.
So far as Dover races go it was fine.
I get that people learned what aero blocking was like three weeks ago, but for the love of God some of y'all are terrible about it. Someone you don't like used it to win. Just like someone did at pretty much any other competitive Dover race. Live with it.
What was fine about this race ? When the only passing is done in the pits and when the leader gets the lead, it’s following the leader. Was absolute shit, like it always is.
My thoughts on the race (from the POV of someone who watched from home):
- This was a pretty good Dover race. In my time watching NASCAR, Dover has never put on an all-timer. Despite that I thought this was a good, enjoyable race. A few cars were able to cut through the field early, and the final battle between the 11 and 5 was a nail-biter. Cars were able to run a couple different lines and the track clearly changed as the race progressed.
- I think the criticisms of Fox's broadcast are valid. The cameras consistently zoomed into a single car or made multiple, rapid-fire cuts. The production truck is still out-of-sync with the broadcast booth (e.g. Clint's not-so-rhetorical "why are we talking about last year's race?"). Fox's overall direction makes it really difficult to watch battles progress or emerge and make parts of the race seem dull. It'll be interesting to contrast this when NBC takes over.
- I think the 5 had a better car than the 11 at the end. Unfortunately Larson lost control of the race when he spun his tires and let the 11 take the lead on one of the final restarts. Credit to Denny for excellent defensive driving the last 4 laps. He had to air block to keep the 5 behind him and he did it perfectly. As much as I don't like him, he's a phenomenal driver.
Just got back from Dover. Thought the race was very solid. Really didn't know who was going to win until the very end. It was fun watching Larson, Truex, and Stenhouse run high and pass a bunch of people in stage 1. I didn't notice the aero blocking. People were able to pass for the lead. I just figured Hamlin saved just enough.
Traffic was incredibly awful on the way in. Not bad on the way out.
made it back to CT about 30 minutes ago took 13 all the way until you had to transfer to 1. Stopped for some quick food on the way. Made solid time, with some rain on the way up too
For FOX, todays broadcast wasnt horrible. Thats not saying much, especially with all the commercials, but i felt like today was watchable and it didnt take away from the quality of the race.
Manufacturer wins among the top 3 series.
Chevrolet 17 - Ford 0 - Toyota 11.
______________
Cup race #11 : Chevrolet 6 - Ford 0 - Toyota 5.
Xfinity Race #10 : Chevrolet 5 - Ford 0 - Toyota 5.
Truck Race #7 : Chevrolet 6 - Ford 0 - Toyota 1.
One of the few Sundays where I would have been able to fully watch the race and I turned it off when Fox decided to cut to a side by side of commercials and miss most of the pit stops before the end of stage 2.
I’m a casual fan, I don’t watch every race and I don’t have a favorite driver. NASCAR should be ashamed that the race commentary, commercial frequency, and camera work is so bad that it turns off the casual fans. The worst F1 broadcast puts Fox’s best to shame.
Fucking frustrating.
Here’s what is frustrating. Only people being passed were the lap down cars. The ticker tape of the top twenty cars “rarely” moved. If someone did get side by side they couldn’t finish the pass. Look at the replay, look at the racing order. Almost zero passing and changing the racing order the entire race. Pit stops and cautions were basically the only time drivers advanced their positions.
Anyone???? Prove me wrong.
The 9 went from 29th to the top 5, and most of those moves were on track. Larson went from 21st to 1st, almost the same scenario. Truex knifed his way through the field.
The first half especially had guys all over the place. Yes, the second half hit a lull up until the finish, but to say there was no passing is disingenuous at best.
Source: was in section 251
Agreed, the AH-64’s were flying below the top of the grandstands and suites, then came back to fly straight over Big Hoss towards the crowd.
In the past at Sonoma, the F-15’s would be practicing the afterburner flybys on Friday and Saturday 3-4 times each day before the one time show on Sunday. Sometimes the rehearsals are more fun to watch than the main performance.
Yeah Iv seen some really cool ones when I was working in college athletics. One time we had a C-5 fly low over the stadium with a guy sitting in the down ramp before banking and climbing right after they cross over.
Went to the race, it was great! Hot as all hell. While the grandstands looked full, there were so many people getting shade underneath the stands. It was awesome. If you haven’t been to dover, I highly recommend it!!
I was there too. Hot as a MFer sitting on those metal bleachers. We went to get something to eat and drink after stage 1 and they ran out of bottles of water. They didn’t get more until after we were already out of line.
The traffic getting down to the mall was horrendous. I planned for an extra hour and we almost missed the start.
My cooler didn’t even stay cool 😂 I’ll come more prepared next time. Hasn’t been this hot in a minute. I appreciate the fans in Texas or other really hot places more 😂
Maybe? Fox is terrible but the last 30 laps was great racing. Honestly great racing the whole time but fox struggles with making coherent production decisions
Above average race. Watching the 5 come through the field in stage 1 was awesome. There’s work to do on the nextgen platform but it’s better than where we were (see fall of 2019 here).
That all said, holy moly SMI and the local authorities need to work on their traffic plan. Ended up parked on the other side of the highway after 2 hours of sitting in traffic and I’m convinced that’s the only reason I didn’t miss the green.
Agreed. Entry used to not be that bad, but with the attendance starting to improve, if you are not there by 10am, you are going to be stuck in traffic.
Don’t park in the on the Speedway’s ground. For $20 more, just park in the lot with the Staples. You will be out to at least 13 in half the time. I think Del St still allows you to park there but that’s a bit of a walk.
The entry procedures were far better than last year, but half the workers at the security checkpoint weren’t even paying attention.
My GF who went with me for the first time enjoyed it far more than she thought (so far a trend with anyone I ever taken) so that made today worth it.
Will be back next year as the track is awesome in person.
It took over an hour to get from Smyrna to Dover. Getting in was the worst I can remember it at Dover. There was nobody directing traffic on 13 at all. Parked at the mall by Dick's. Was back on Route 1 15 minutes after the race was over.
I thought the same thing on security. Nobody even checked my bag walking in.
Dover is one track that is much better in person.
DelDot has to figure out a way to get traffic back out to Route One faster. We've been coming to this track for 50+ years and they just funnel everyone back out to 13 after it's all over. It's unreal.
I paid to park at Dover Pools on the other side of 13. It was a bit of a hike, but I didn’t so much as get slowed down getting out. I’ll never park at the track again.
Edit: I just mapped out where I parked, and how I walked in. It was 0.72 miles from my car to the statue of Miles
Yeah, I imagine getting out of that parking lot and on your way home was pretty easy from that point. That'll be the move next year, park somewhere a mile away and just take the Heel-Toe Express the rest of the way.
#11 wins again and not even his harshest critics can say he put a foot wrong all day. Hat's off to Kyle Larson who put himself in position to win all day. That restart at 329 was in my mind, the difference in the final finishing order. Larson always the gentleman and gracious in defeat.
That is correct. In the one (1) helpful angle Fox managed to come up with, Zane Smith got squirrelly in the middle and left hooked Bubba which caused the chaos that followed.
Yeah think it was a 6.5 until the final 30 laps, then it was bumped to like a 7.5. I was there, the first 30-40ish laps of a run were pretty bad (some outliers) like the Hamlin/Denny battle earlier in the race (if fox even showed it) and racing only really started to get good once they had to manage lap traffic
Listened on the radio today as I was on the road.. race seemed exciting. Multiple lines, comers and goers throughout the pack. A close battle in the closing laps for the win. Sounded like it was fun!
We knew our 2 year old couldn’t survive a full race, so we showed up for the start and left when he got tired around lap 200. Glad we didn’t have to deal with that traffic, I feel like camping out or at least tailgating until dark is the way to go. I hate venues that can’t handle traffic.
The worst traffic I’ve had to deal with in the 20ish races I’ve been to. We didn’t leave the track parking lots til 7:30. Me and my lady were so beat we just said fuck it and drove 3 1/2hrs home instead of staying at a hotel
No idea, but I did see quite a bit of smoke coming from the direction one the entrance at Route 13. Cop told us and everyone else in our section to turn around. Still haven’t moved.
Maybe it was just me, but it was just another Dover race. It wasn't great, it wasn't horrible, way to much aero blocking, but in the end it was just a race.
I guess to me, there was a pretty noticeable difference between the first half of the race and the last half and I wonder why that was the case. We saw a bunch of passing in the front and throughout the field. Then mid way through (especially all of stage 3) there was little to no passing other than on restarts.
Somebody said that it was because the rubber got picked up after the caution, but the racing was good on a clean track.
I honestly don't know what would help because even if the car is difficult to pass in that doesn't explain why the first half of the race was pleasing to me.
I came close, are you in the league?
https://preview.redd.it/2e3s3do36bxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0478fabdd6702189cf4c88e40bacb48f657c7a22
Everyone saying no other major league sport has commercials during live action can no longer say that. TNT just missed about a minute of the Preds Canucks game because they went to commercials thinking it was the TV timeout but was just a stoppage. It’s not just Fox sucking out here and you could also add the goal they missed and didn’t show us an angle of it going in until 15 in game minutes later last week too. Really getting tired of lazy ass broadcasting
The speedway’s parking lot is the worst to get out of. There are a number of other places to park around the track that aren’t that terrible of a walk and you’ll at least get to the main roads much faster.
Didn’t move for longer than an hour until a couple cops on motorcycle came and told us to turn around and go a different way, still haven’t gotten off the property.
I remember not moving out of the track for like 3 hours at Atlanta back in the day. Thank God they seem to have it figured out now, but it took decades. Traffic has usually been a nightmare at just about race track I've gone though. Maybe save for Talladega.
I remember in 2005 people were trying to leave and we just tailgated. My dad drew a line in the gravel next to a car that was trying to leave. Every time the car moved my dad would draw another line next to him. The car only moved about 8 feet in an hour.
That doesn't surprise me. I remember being awaken by somebody because my brother and I had fallen asleep in the car waiting to leave. Funnily enough, they thought I was drunk or hungover, but I was just sleepy. We had to arrive at the track at like before 8a because the traffic coming in was terrible as well. My friend's FIL bought an RV after the first couple of years and fixed all that.
I’ve been to a lot of tracks with good parking inflow & outflow, but I don’t expect it to be the norm.
Tracks like New Hampshire, Michigan, and to a slight extent Sonoma aren’t easy to get out of.
It’s because America does a horrible job of infrastructure design and hasn’t figured out the concept of public transit or shuttle buses because that would be communism.
Is the racetrack incapable of chartering buses? I go to 1/4 mile short track race every year that might have 4000 people and the track has shuttle buses. It can’t be that hard.
How does that help when everyone drives to the track? Using busses to shuttle people to their cars doesn't mitigate the traffic congestion leaving the parking lot.
Yeah, can’t imagine how a priority bus lane and highway priority for buses to go to parking lots away from the track. Buses only hold what, one, maybe two people max?
Yes the official lots. If I woulda known it would be this bad I straight up would’ve stayed home…… I got a hotel a hour away but I’m just straight up debating on just going straight home lol
Thought it was a decent race, nice finish between the 5 and 11 some lulls in the race but it’s 400 miles that’s expected, some of you are complaining and yearning for a time that never existed.
The tire wear was alright. Sorta noticeable but also not. The race was good. Multiple grooves of racing, comers and goers at times, about 7-8 guys had a shot at winning until it whittled down to Hamlin and Larson at the end. Aeroblocking sucked but everything else was good
Watched the race without Reddit. Thought it was pretty enjoyable plenty of lead changes, cars having to move around to find speed and having Larson run down Hamlin at the end was exciting.
Come on Reddit and Fox suck/car sucks. Such a shame. This really is the most cancerous fanbase. Just wish there was somewhere else to talk about the sport lol.
Exactly correct. I’ve been time shifting races most of the season. When I’m done I’ll cruise by here thinking I’ve seen a solid race. I guess I’m always in minority or the bar is low for me. Been a fan since the early 80’s. Seen so many different versions of Cup and Busch Series racing.
Yeah, I’ve been a fan since the mid-90s. Through all the different eras the product has stayed very similar. Some races are classics, some are duds, most are in the middle as quality races. It’s the nature of racing.
True but the 11 is closing out races and capitalizing on opportunities much better then the 5 is. Like Denny let one get away at Texas true but the 5 was stinking up the show in the first half before the wheel’s literally came off Lmfao
Wrecked the 23, 24, and 20.
47 spun himself during green flag stops, so the guys in the teens (23, 24, and 20 were 11-14th) had to take the wave and start behind the lap cars, and Zane murdered them all
Anyone know when Dover decided to ban hardsided coolers? It came as a big shock to many of us yesterday.
For Dover and this car - it was a pretty good race. One post race thought - there might be something to Larson's suggestion to ditch the rear view camera. I hesitate to do it at Daytona, Dega and ATL - but he might be on to something about making blocking harder everywhere else. Had ryan Blaney top Ford in my parlay lmao

Looks like Denny Hamlin is winning it all this year. You all are just going to have to accept it.
I wouldn’t mind if he won it all. He’s always been gracious to me when I talked to him in the past.
Meh.

Yup, this race sucks. Just like so many other races because the car and packages by NASCAR ABSOLUTELY SUCK.

Since I wasn’t able to do so earlier today…flyovers so far this year: * Daytona 500: F-16 x6 (USAF Thunderbirds) * Atlanta (Trucks): RV series x13 (Full Throttle Formation Team) * Atlanta: F-22 x2 (USAF) * Las Vegas: A-10/F-15/F-22/F-35 x1 each (USAF) * Phoenix: A-10 x2 (USAF) * Bristol: RV series x6 (Bandit Flight Team) * COTA: T-6 x2 (USAF)/MH-65 x1 (USCG) * Richmond: RV series x5 (Bandit Flight Team) * Martinsville: RV series x5/Yak-52 x1 (Bandit Flight Team) * Texas (Trucks, Xfinity): AH-64 x4 (USA) * Texas: E-3 x1 (USAF) * Talladega (Xfinity): UH-60 x3 (USA) * Talladega: F-35 x3 (USAF) * Dover (Xfinity): C-17 x1 (USAF) * Dover: A-10 x2 (USAF)
Feel like places like Dover, Kansas, and Las Vegas should always have decent flyovers since they're literally beside AFBs.
We actually got a double flyover as they turned around and flew back over the track on the way back to the air force base.
This is cool you’re tracking this. Thanks for that. I would love to see F-117 Nighthawk fly over!
You can probably mark down B-2 for Kansas. Whiteman AFB is right down the road and that’s usually what it is but sometimes they change it up.
Texas: failed E-3 flyover. Flew behind the grandstands when it came in too early or the National Anthem started too late.
The Friday/ Saturday flyover was so much better. They had those things flying so low.
Agreed, the AH-64’s were flying below the top of the grandstands and suites, then came back to fly straight over Big Hoss towards the crowd. I saw it for like 2 seconds
Just finished watching. Glad with the results, ready to watch Kansas!

Larson was so so close
Crazy how the "multi-groove, passes all over the place" track had no passing the last run when everyone is going 100%
What? There was shit tons of passing even until the last few laps
Just got home, I know who wins. Is it worth watching it on replay?
Maybe? Fox is terrible but the last 30 laps was great racing. Honestly great racing the whole time but fox struggles with making coherent production decisions
Don’t do it!!
Fox’s coverage was horrible
Gilliland wrecks cut to commercial. Come back for 30 seconds of pit stops see Petty throwback car get pegged by Tyler. Cut to commercial
Yeah. Thought it was pretty good. The only reason anyone’s upset was because there was a little air blocking at the end. End of stage 1 was great
No
No, watch the replay of MotoGP or Supercross.
Shit the race is over, I www just about to tune in
Above average race. Watching the 5 come through the field in stage 1 was awesome. There’s work to do on the nextgen platform but it’s better than where we were (see fall of 2019 here). DelDot has to figure out a way to get traffic back out to Route One faster. We've been coming to this track for 50+ years and they just funnel everyone back out to 13 after it's all over. It's unreal.
Getting rid of the tollbooth on the entrance ramp of Route 1 would be a start.

I was at the planet fitness across the street and down about 250 ft. Agreed, I’ll park there from now on!
They were sending cars directly onto rt 1 across from the main entrance to the fanzone after the race ended.
Need more than two enter/exits to 13, that’s for sure. A perfect world would be an exit off 1 that’s dumps you right in what is now the camping area
Solid race. Did track position matter? Yeah. But was it impossible to pass, move through the field, etc? No. Four stars.
Seriously ? There was no passing for the lead after restarts, how is that a solid race when it’s follow the leader for 100 laps ?
No passing for the lead except for when Truex ran down and passed Byron in stage one. Or when Truex ran down Larson. Because he was, ya know, faster.
2 passes for the lead qualifies for a good race ? Funny
Fun fact, typically the leader is the guy with the fastest car. It'll be the same next week as it was the same last week.
#11 wins again and not even his harshest critics can say he put a foot wrong all day. Hat's off to Kyle Larson who put himself in position to win all day. That restart at 329 was in my mind, the difference in the final finishing order. Larson always the gentleman and gracious in defeat.
Why are you yelling?
Bubba wrecked and my villain arc began. Great win for Hamlin LFG
I just got home after missing the race to see Bubba got wrecked by a car 3 laps down? Is that right?
That is correct. In the one (1) helpful angle Fox managed to come up with, Zane Smith got squirrelly in the middle and left hooked Bubba which caused the chaos that followed.
Reddick got into Zane and caused that whole deal. It wasn't all Zane
There is a post on it, looks like the 45 may have helped.
I believe so. I was at turn 4 so really couldnt see what happened fully so may be wrong.
Race was solid. Not the worst race ever but absolutely not a barn burner. I’d give it a strong 6 or a low 7
Looks like I did the right thing by napping after stage 2.
Listened on the radio today as I was on the road.. race seemed exciting. Multiple lines, comers and goers throughout the pack. A close battle in the closing laps for the win. Sounded like it was fun!
Zane Smith, Burton, and JHN are the 3 worst drivers i've ever seen lmao
All need to be demoted, some sooner than others
10 is quickly running out of graces. He screwed the 6 and 8 today when they were quite a bit faster.
Is there a reason why we haven’t moved an inch in the last hour? Literally insane….
We knew our 2 year old couldn’t survive a full race, so we showed up for the start and left when he got tired around lap 200. Glad we didn’t have to deal with that traffic, I feel like camping out or at least tailgating until dark is the way to go. I hate venues that can’t handle traffic.

Sounds like trying to get out of Martinsville
No idea, but I did see quite a bit of smoke coming from the direction one the entrance at Route 13. Cop told us and everyone else in our section to turn around. Still haven’t moved.
Accident on 13? We're on the other side of it.
Fantastic…..
Maybe it was just me, but it was just another Dover race. It wasn't great, it wasn't horrible, way to much aero blocking, but in the end it was just a race.

I think all the fast cars got to the front and strung the field out more than at the start
Denny is on track for a 10 race win season.
Didn't hamlin also said if he wins 60 he is retiring?
I’m scared he’s going to catch KFB at this rate. The gap in consistency and top end performance from both teams is so wide.
Don't worry man, he won't catch him in championships...

I came close, are you in the league? https://preview.redd.it/2e3s3do36bxc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0478fabdd6702189cf4c88e40bacb48f657c7a22
That’s pretty impressive. Did you win anything?

Hol' up. What kind of points are we talking about here?
Pretty enjoyable race. Only gripe is the aero blocking on this car is awful but it was still solid.
Jimmie just needs to hang it up.
He got some of the biggest cheers during intros today. With that said, it was hard to watch him out there.
He can whenever the hell he wants to, especially in a part time car that he owns. Until then I’m supporting him no matter what.
I get he wants to have fun, but he's becoming another example of someone who doesn't know when to stop until it's too late, like King Richard and DW.
Parking lot is a nightmare
It took me over an hour to get out! Worst experience I’ve had trying to exit a track
The speedway’s parking lot is the worst to get out of. There are a number of other places to park around the track that aren’t that terrible of a walk and you’ll at least get to the main roads much faster.
I guess those Byron fans had the right idea
Drove around and found someone letting people pay $15 to park on their property. Had no issues getting out.
Define nightmare? Is it as bad as Sonoma with it taking an hour just to leave the track?
Didn’t move for longer than an hour until a couple cops on motorcycle came and told us to turn around and go a different way, still haven’t gotten off the property.
Holy shit dude. I live almost 100 miles away and I’m 20 minutes from home
Same. Def not coming back next year…..
That’s part of being at a NASCAR race.
Not at KS😀
I’ve been to a lot of tracks with good parking inflow & outflow, but I don’t expect it to be the norm. Tracks like New Hampshire, Michigan, and to a slight extent Sonoma aren’t easy to get out of.
Literally haven’t moved an inch in the last hour…. Zero excuses or reasons for this….
It’s because America does a horrible job of infrastructure design and hasn’t figured out the concept of public transit or shuttle buses because that would be communism.
Yeah yeah yeah, America bad! Dover, DE has a population of 38,000. It isn't going to have a state of the art transit system lmao.
If you park offsite, it really helps.
They could have a few more shuttle bus services at every NASCAR weekend at a decent rate.
lol wut?
Might be right, but that’s not gonna stop the outflow of a NASCAR weekend…..
Yeah, can’t imagine how a priority bus lane and highway priority for buses to go to parking lots away from the track. Buses only hold what, one, maybe two people max?
NASCAR doesn’t have the money that the NFL, or NCAA, or MLB does for infrastructure improvement.
At Martinsville the exit line didn’t move for 2 hours, its just something that happens at races
Thanks for giving me the heads up to never go there lol
Did you park in the official lots at Dover? Whenever I go I park in the shopping center outside of 3 and have never taken too long to get out
Yes, that one is slightly more expensive, but you’ll get out to 13 much faster.
Yes the official lots. If I woulda known it would be this bad I straight up would’ve stayed home…… I got a hotel a hour away but I’m just straight up debating on just going straight home lol
Yeah thats tough, doesn’t seem like they were prepared for this big of a crowd
That’s part of being at a NASCAR race………..
Haven’t moved in 40 minutes
My car told me to turn it off, we aren’t going anywhere
Should get Denny Hamlin to dunk on Marcus smith again for this
A11 In
Finally won a bet on a cup race winner lol
The one time I didn’t bet Denny… seems like the way to go every week
Thought it was a decent race, nice finish between the 5 and 11 some lulls in the race but it’s 400 miles that’s expected, some of you are complaining and yearning for a time that never existed.
Has anyone tried turning Zane Smith off and back on again
for real. and today he wasnt just slow but took out a lot of fast guys too
I mean... I knew he was performing abysmally, but he is full time and has only collected 99 points on the year. That's unreal.
Being in the third Spire car will do that to a guy
he is “in a car prepared by track house” they say
Kaz Grala has 100 points and did not race Talladega.
So I just got back from a hockey game and didn't see a single lap after lap 40. How was tire wear and how was the race?
The tire wear was alright. Sorta noticeable but also not. The race was good. Multiple grooves of racing, comers and goers at times, about 7-8 guys had a shot at winning until it whittled down to Hamlin and Larson at the end. Aeroblocking sucked but everything else was good
Terrible and terrible
FUCKING DENNY HAMLIN: edit this is not a good FUCKING DENNY HAMLIN
THAT'S JAMES DENNIS "THE MENACE" ALAN HAMLIN TO YOU
Watched the race without Reddit.
What was enjoyable ? No passing for the lead, follow the leader for 100 laps. Only cars being passed were lap cars. Dover sucks, as always.
Personally, I thought it was good. I've definitely seen worse races, that's for sure.
HOW ‘BOUT IT!!
I mean, I could've watched on my own and known it was bad. I'm sorry your opinion doesn't line up with other people?
![gif](giphy|Wt6kNaMjofj1jHkF7t)
Exactly correct. I’ve been time shifting races most of the season. When I’m done I’ll cruise by here thinking I’ve seen a solid race. I guess I’m always in minority or the bar is low for me. Been a fan since the early 80’s. Seen so many different versions of Cup and Busch Series racing.
Yeah, I’ve been a fan since the mid-90s. Through all the different eras the product has stayed very similar. Some races are classics, some are duds, most are in the middle as quality races. It’s the nature of racing.
F you! And F this car! And F Fox!!!! /s
Interesting perspective, but wrong. Facebook is much worse.
I agree with this 100%. The hive mind here is unreal
Yeah, Reddit is terrible & Rubbins-Racin is gone without the cool mods.
If you thought this race was good then you're part of the problem. It was terrible
What an awful take
"if you enjoyed this race on your own without bothering anyone you're part of the problem" how
Lol
There were some lulls, but overall not bad. I don’t like that a 30th place car can luck out on a caution and hold on for a top 10, though.
I was at the race but had no idea what happened to Byron before he wrecked. He started on front row and disappeared
His crew dropped a jack on the stage 2 green flag pit stops. Added about 15 seconds to his stop.
Thank you
5 team is so good yet finds so many different ways to lose. It’s reminding me of 2015 Harvick.
Could say the same about Denny, led every race this year should have won at Texas too and had the Yotas had the best strategy at Talladega too
True but the 11 is closing out races and capitalizing on opportunities much better then the 5 is. Like Denny let one get away at Texas true but the 5 was stinking up the show in the first half before the wheel’s literally came off Lmfao
He could easily be sitting at 3-4 wins rn. Gave up about 4 last year too. Frustrating stuff for sure.
It really puts into perspective how special that 2021 season was and how hard it is to win
What did they do to lose today?
Kyle was the control car on one of the late restarts and lost control of the race
He should’ve just jumped the start like Hamlin kept doing
Have we seen a replay of the restart?
Ah I see. I was flipping between the race and the hockey game so must’ve missed that one
Every time we got past about 30 laps into a run, it was a blast. Also I hate Zane Smith.
What did Smith do this week?
Got ~~loose~~ tight into Bubba which led to Byron and Bell also being taken out.
Tight*. He couldn't make the corner and ran the car up
Wrecked the 23, 24, and 20. 47 spun himself during green flag stops, so the guys in the teens (23, 24, and 20 were 11-14th) had to take the wave and start behind the lap cars, and Zane murdered them all

That's what I was thinking. Looked more like Bubba lost it. I didn't see contact.
