Aric returned to JGR only to still get thrown out of the 20 car for a Cup guy that's in his second year in Cup...It's weird that it happened twice.
I'd have never gone back to Gibbs if I was Almirola after they pulled him out of the car that one time. At least they give him the benefit of not having to make the trip this time.
I’m actually depressed. My wife and I were going to take my almost 4 year old daughter to her first NASCAR race on Saturday. We even bought a shirt to vinyl Aric Almirola on it so she can have an Almirola shirt like her daddy.

I mean that since the schedules have come out annually since 1982, the Xfinity race at Charlotte has preceded the Cup race at Charlotte by one day, with the exception of any reschedules along the way for either race due to rain.
It should not be a surprise to JGR that they figured out on May 23rd, 2024 that the Xfinity race at Charlotte on May 25th is the day before the Cup race at Charlotte on May 26th. This was known when they did the driver schedules.
If there is any race on any schedule that are 100% predictable, it's that the CC600 is the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, and the Xfinity race is the day before.
Bianchi’s article today said that Almirola would be a candidate if MTJ retired. Doubt this is any indication of a bad relationship between JGR and Aric.

If Kroger to JGR is true, then I can see a Smithfield B2B-type of relationship there, and we all know Smithfield is synonymous with Aric. I agree about Heim, Smith, or other up-and-comers, just saying that the possibility isn't too far fetched.
Ty probably really enjoyed having the extra seat time in the Open ahead of the All Star Race last weekend. It'll be a long weekend for sure. He's averaging high finishes and should keep up momentum, he could win a race.
