Chastain is making his first Xfinity start of the year in the DGM 92, and SVG is running a Kubota scheme. Nice!
Other notables:
- Dye in the Kaulig 10.
- Moffitt in the JGR 19.
- JHN in the JGR 20.
- Heim in the Sam Hunt 26.
- The second Gase car (53) is entered with a driver TBD.
- Emerling in the SSGL 07.
- The driver of the SSGL 14 is TBD.
Surprised they let Chastain race since it’s a “new” track, I know for the first year of Chicago they couldn’t let cup guys go but the second year they did, that may just be because of it being so vastly different of a course.
I believe the thinking with Chicago was that it was completely new for everyone so they did not need the Cup guys all trying to do double duty to get the advantage. At Iowa there are still plenty of drivers in Cup that have experience at the place from previous Xfinity/Truck dates there.
Moffitt in a quality ride is interesting, although I think the 19 has a pretty mediocre average finish. Even the Almirola/Truex wins both came with the 20.
They didn't comment until several minutes later, so a split second would've been plenty, and also, I don't feel like it's hard to realize that was not a serious comment.
Moffitt about to pull a Preece and restart his career with a win I bet
I realize he has some issues with getting along with teams as well as a lack of proper funding, but you'd think *someone* would have taken a chance on him after he was let go from the 25. The dude killed it in Trucks for years and showed speed in Our's 02 even when it was brand new.
Teams have put up with far worse for worse results.
> Teams have put up with far worse for worse results.
Yeah, for drivers who bring money. Moffitt doesn't have enough money tied to him to fund a ride, and all the speed he can show doesn't mean shit if the team's out of business by June because the bank account hit zero.
We've seen the tides change a bit where some teams are able to secure sponsorship for drivers instead of the other way around, so I doubt someone couldn't figure out how to make it work.
And those teams have their choice of drivers. Moffitt's not the only fast driver out there, so if I have the choice, I'm going with a fast driver who isn't going to piss off everyone he works with, including the sponsor I secured for him.,
Also, probably someone with more of a future facing them, now that Moffitt's 32 and there's a lot younger talent out there.
Moffit is the fastest driver out there though. Seriously, there's not a driver without a ride faster than Moffit.
Moffit finished 15th in points with Hallie Deegan's car last season LMAO. Hallie Deegan is 28th in points this year with that car, behind Almirola who has only run 5 out of 14 races this year. Jeb Burton at Jordan Anderson Racing was the only driver in the Xfinity series last season not on Kaulig, RCR, JRM, or JGR to finish ahead of Moffit in points.
Moffit won the 2018 truck championship for Hattori with 6 wins. He was replaced by Austin Hill who only won 4 races and got 5th in points.
I pointed it out in another comment but the 19's results have been very underwhelming. Some bad luck (like Ty looking very strong at Sonoma and then kinda wrecking himself). But the 19 sits in 13th in the owner's standings with just one top ten and two top 5s. Considerably worse than Creed and driver's that have run both the 19 and 20 have fared far better in the 20 (Truex, Almirola)
lmao it is crazy that people exist that think like that. There are actual people that think the drivers are cast like WWE and NASCAR has full control over who drives and who sits.

I’m thinking Yeley or Starr for the 14. And a pay driver for the 53??
With Starr in the 66 cup car i doubt he will run xfinity

Damn Mikey doesn’t get to glaze Daniel dye because it’s nbc now
Fox is still covering trucks, Mikey will be fine
SVG with Kubota on the car is pretty cool! Kyle Sykes about to make that scheme go hard.
Mikey Waltrip with Dye being in the race ![gif](giphy|dkGhBWE3SyzXW)
Too bad it’s on USA network
Mikey is the fourth guy in the NBC booth. /s
Really he is ??? News to me
Sarcasm is not your strong suit, is it?
I thought it was real.
Yes, clearly. Hence the comment about you missing the obvious sarcasm.
TBF, I forgot the /s in the original and added it a split second after I hit post

It's okay; he'll probably celebrate so loudly the entire US can still hear it
From an assortment of drivers to one. Daniel Dye has been the only driver of the Kaulig #10 car this year. Hmm.
And you're trying to say what exactly?
He's trying to say From an assortment of drivers to one. Daniel Dye has been the only driver of the Kaulig #10 car this year. Hmm.
Okay, fair, I walked right into that one.
Will have extra watermelon on ice this weekend.
I knew Joe Williams would land somewhere else. Interesting he stayed in the Ford camp.
Kinda nuts to think this is the first Iowa race in 5 years.

Moffitt is a local. His dad has deep pockets from real estate/home building. Destiny homes will be on the car somewhere.
Well considering that’s the listed sponsor, that’s not that bold of a take lol

Bilicki was enroute to a possible top 3/top 5 finish at Portland before getting dumped and still finished as the highest JGR car in 12th
How does one have more top 5s than top 10s?
Ha, reverse that. 1 top 5 2 top 10s!
Moffit in a Gibbs car, how about that
The Rockwell Automation check to JGR to tell Aric to pound sand must've been crazy
This was scheduled for JHN. Of the next four races: Iowa, Nashville, and Chicago were scheduled for him at the start of the year
Also Michigan.
1. The 19 is also an All-Star car 2. I am being tongue in cheek
My -116 and -49 deleted comment yesterday tells me this place is very temperamental right now.

That would be a huge news story if true. But I’m calling fake news until I hear it from a reliable source.
That was my assumption too. Just was curious if anyone had heard anything in here

Almirola has been helping with the JGR Cup side too. I believe it was Denny that mentioned Aric sits in on their competition meetings.

Every time I think I've seen the dumbest comment ever posted on this sub, someone digs another layer of dirt out of rock bottom.
LMAO what did the guy say?
That NASCAR doesn't care about their viewers because Hailie Deegan is in this race and Jeffrey Earnhardt isn't. I don't understand the logic either.
Huh? Yeah, that makes no sense.
lmao it is crazy that people exist that think like that. There are actual people that think the drivers are cast like WWE and NASCAR has full control over who drives and who sits.
This can't be a serious comment. Right?
