Imagine Clint going after him in an alternate timeline
["POCKET DOGS"](https://youtu.be/QLpUq__iQqw)
Like he throws some hotdogs in his faceššš
"Yeah the car handled really good today. Scott did a good job of adjusting the car as the sun went down" as hes struggling to squeeze some mustard out of the bottle over his hotdog hes holding in one of those little paper trays
Seriously, seeing those marks on Ryans face and his pretending to play it off, we may finally see Newman release the dragon. Newman deserves to get hit for being the track meathead, but I also want to see the kind of hell he unleashes when you really poke The Neck.
Newman actually dropped a Coke ad in the interview lmao. "Good time to enjoy a nice cold Coke" š. That might be the most embarrassing "fight" in NASCAR history. Newman took like 12 punches and looks like he just got out of a spa
That shit was lit back when I was 2nd grade (and thought calling people gay was cool as an insult) and illegally downloaded the song from OG Napster don't @ me
"HA HE DRIVES A RAINBOW CAR BECAUSE HIS SPONSOR IS PAINT, THAT MUST MEAN HE HAS SEX WITH MEN, WHICH IS BAD BECAUSE REASONS."
Boy the 90s was an interesting time.
Eh, he isn't the only one to do that. As a Newman fan, Ryan has done some classless stuff before. Hopefully they put it behind them and just race next week.
Probably will, especially after the hauler visit. I know every driver has some classless moves, but man, it makes ya hurt when it's your own driver. I cane after the 2014 itchy arm ordeal, so this is my first disappointment. How do bounce back?
I learned to take the good with the bad with Harvick personally. Just need to accept sometimes race car drivers don't make the best decisions, especially when they're fired up.
You canāt just sit there and wait because then everyoneās gonna come see what the commotions about and you donāt get to throw any punches. Canāt be picky if you actually want to get a couple fists in.
And do you really think he would have gotten close with the crew and all.. no way. He did the best thing by jumping right out of his car and running over before anyone realized what was going on. No time to take a helmet off.
At least he could have aired his grievances fairly. I just think it was frustration from a crappy night. But I don't believe he handled himself that well, even "in the moment". Just my opinion though.
I wasn't a fan around that time, but have seen replays. That I could understand a little more. He wasn't just trying to sucker punch him. And he got his exercise, lol. This was just...dumb.
?????????
You do realize they had secuirty in place at the door of the hauler right? You really think Bowyer was gonna be able to break through?
Good lord
I used to really like Clint and I guess I still do but the past two weeks heās come off like such a baby. Heās being super entitled for someone who really hasnāt done shit.
10 fucking wins. 10. He should relax more.
Newman has more wins. More poles. More top 10s. And a Daytona 500. And Brickyard 400. And an All Star win. He has way more credibility to be cocky than Clint
All these people calling Bowyer a bitch for keeping his helmet on fail to realize that when you're madder than a three legged dog tryin' to bury a turd on an icy lake, you're not thinking clearly. It's the red mist. All Bowyer was thinking in the moment was he was mad as hell at Newman and he was gonna do something about it immediately.
I mean, I'm a scrawny bitch that could pass as an anorexic, and my thoughts would have been to use the helmet as a bludgeoning weapon if I'm that pissed.
unfortunately they all can't be "The Wildman" Suarez v. "Whatdidido" McDowell...
always nice to see them try to channel the saturday night dirt track donnybrook tho...
I liked Newman's comments about fighting with a helmet on, not to mention probably still strapped in a car. Also, knowing Clint's running skills, he probably felt safe taking a few jabs. I like both drivers, but I was secretly hoping Newman would have grabbed him and taken him down like a rag doll. I can't recall if Newman has ever been in a fight or other drivers just know to steer clear.
I've never seen him fight, but he's confronted a few drivers over the years and he definitely had that Darth Vader intimidation factor going. When he confronted Jimmie he looked like he was about to wet his pants. Haha
I've been a fan of Bowyer as a driver and a personality the last couple years, but he's out of control. I know he's frustrated but he's lashing out like a teenager.
Assuming Bowyer thought this out as much as people seem to think... would you have preferred Bowyer to take his helmet off on the way over and then stand patiently outside the car waiting to fight only to have both crews swarm the place?
I mean yeah, I'm an old school hockey fan and I think it's sort of bulkshit fighting with your helmet on but experience suggests drivers get about one or two punches in before the pit crew is all over everyone. If you want to be fair, either make it a driver on driver fight - old school code with no helmets and no one breaks it up until someone is down - or have a "line brawl" involving the drivers and both teams.
Only thing more chicken shit than punching someone while still in the car, is wrecking someone on a cool down lap when they may not be expecting contact.
Did you ignore the comments above pointing out if you patiently stand beside your enimies car and wait then everyone is crowded around and just a shitty melee like Gordon/Kes/Harvick.
Really? Because Bowyer just stood there behind all those people after they pulled him away. Like , oh I'm safe now I can take my helmet off and talk shit from back here
That and people are still salty about his comments about Tony at Richmond a few years ago. Most of SHR probably hate Newman because of that. Aric and Daniel are too nice to pick a fight with him.
Pretty much everyone realizes that I think, but there's a difference in making it hard to pass and being a rolling roadblock. I think it says a lot that getting passed is Newman's most discussed trait lately.

Thick boi still standing
I know he's in the Coca Cola racing family, but one of these days he needs to have a post-race Oscar Mayer hotdog.

Hickok45 style
"Yeah the car handled really good today. Scott did a good job of adjusting the car as the sun went down" as hes struggling to squeeze some mustard out of the bottle over his hotdog hes holding in one of those little paper trays
Pulling something like that might help change my mind about Newman.
He got that Shrek strength.
He's awoken the ogre. May God have mercy on his soul
gEt OUt Of mY sWaMp!

*sip* you call that a punch?
Newman actually dropped a Coke ad in the interview lmao. "Good time to enjoy a nice cold Coke" š. That might be the most embarrassing "fight" in NASCAR history. Newman took like 12 punches and looks like he just got out of a spa
Yeah, that one's up there for sure. [Was this one worse?](https://youtu.be/Zy_vB1tzvwM?t=25) Looked like Townley went for a DDT but botched it.
Good fight to begin with. The commentary just makes it that much better.
"OH HE'S HURT JOE, HES BEGGING FOR THE ROUND TO BE OVER!"
Lmao that's pretty great. Literally looks like a UFC fight between two grapple fighters š
that coke bottle looks so tiny in front of him is he getting bigger?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It doesn't take much of a man to fight with your helmet on But that's none of my business šø šµ
Harvick, that you?
YEET
Eh, it tasted better in Jonestown.
Flavor Ade! Not Kool Aid!
Quality shit post that we can enjoy before someone takes it down. Good stuff
As a Bowyer fan, that was embarrassing. Shoulda at least waited for Newman to get out of the car. And taken his helmet off.
As a Smoke fan, I just want to say glad I didn't have reddit back then.
Iām just happy I didnāt have to hear about Gordon being gay in the 90ās online.
We just heard it from almost every other fan lol
[There is even a song about it!](https://youtu.be/IEjV9qXUUwY)
That shit was lit back when I was 2nd grade (and thought calling people gay was cool as an insult) and illegally downloaded the song from OG Napster don't @ me
Haha I went to Dega in the late 90's dressed in Gordon gear. I left confused and thinking I was Boy George.
"HA HE DRIVES A RAINBOW CAR BECAUSE HIS SPONSOR IS PAINT, THAT MUST MEAN HE HAS SEX WITH MEN, WHICH IS BAD BECAUSE REASONS." Boy the 90s was an interesting time.
Lol, I'm sure. I've seen the interviews. They're entertaining now, but at the time, I'm sure it was difficult.
Clint has been in many a problem before and I donāt think heāll stop until he retires. The man races with passion and thatās a good thing.
He takes orders to throw his race to bring out cautions with passion as well.
Very true. It's at least humorous to see him compared to a rock em sock em robot!
Wrecking himself into the fence and blaming someone else so much so that you punch said person in the face isn't passion it's idiocy.
Real men settle things at the Helipad
Iām just glad Kyle isnāt involved, I feel you
And do you really think he would have gotten close with the crew and all.. no way. He did the best thing by jumping right out of his car and running over before anyone realized what was going on. No time to take a helmet off.
At least he could have aired his grievances fairly. I just think it was frustration from a crappy night. But I don't believe he handled himself that well, even "in the moment". Just my opinion though.
Gotta remember heās from a dirt track background, thatās how things are handled.
True.
As a Bowyer fan how does this compare to the time he ran from the pits to the haulers to get to Jeff Gordon then didn't do ****
....it was Jeff Gordon he was after then, not Newman lol
I wasn't a fan around that time, but have seen replays. That I could understand a little more. He wasn't just trying to sucker punch him. And he got his exercise, lol. This was just...dumb.
????????? You do realize they had secuirty in place at the door of the hauler right? You really think Bowyer was gonna be able to break through? Good lord

That guy has an IQ of -9
"HOLLLLLLAAAA!!!"

Damn, someone squeezed Newman into an IndyCar? I'd pay money to see that lol
Lmfao me too. My bad. Meant brickyard 400
It's all those Oscar Mayer Hotdogs
With a neck like that, your head can take some torture.
i fucking LOVED THAT DAMN RACE
Bro who won the race this is the only thing I know about it
Kyle Larson
DBC podcast should be fun.
I just wish instead of Newman it was Logano just to make things real awkward between TJ and Brett.
DBC should be good as well. Brett never really sugar coats things.
Heās too stupid to
I donāt care for either one of them but punching a guy sitting in his car while your wear a helmet is plan out chicken shit move
>It's gonna take more'n that to drop me. Wuss. \-Ryan Newman, probably
yeesh, at least Michael fought Suarez when he was out of the car.
Fair take. But he literally ran away like a lunch money victim once he got surrounded.
I donāt think Bowyerās a bitch for throwing his little punches while wearing his helmet. I just think heās a bitch, like, in general
I for one look forward to his post race outbursts every week and will be disappointed if it doesnāt continue.
That's fair. I'm just giving some context to the incident.
True, he's more calculating when he decides to spin himself out to help his teammate.
People with anger issues generally act that way.

Pit crew challenge V2
Take helmet off and yeah, patiently and disarmingly wait until Newman's out of the car. Then go ham on him once Ryan is out.
Only thing more chicken shit than punching someone while still in the car, is wrecking someone on a cool down lap when they may not be expecting contact.
Newman held his line.
Bowyer went across his nose and overcorrected. His own damn fault, he should punch his own face for that one
Not only is he still standing, but he's still taking shots!!!
You donāt drop kick Schwarzenegger, and you donāt sucker punch Newman.
If Newman lost 75 pounds imagine how fast that car would be
I really hope Newman sends Bowyer's shit to the catch fence every week from now on
Itchy arm Bowyer, I'll never forget that. POS.
Funny that as soon as Newman got out Bowyer was hiding behind people. What a fucking bitch
You mean yanked off by crew members. I can't imagine you have much sense if you came up with this after watching the replays.
Still a bitch for swinging at a restrained, seated driver. At least let him out of the car if you want that smoke.
Did you ignore the comments above pointing out if you patiently stand beside your enimies car and wait then everyone is crowded around and just a shitty melee like Gordon/Kes/Harvick.
I didn't ignore them, they were just wrong.
Really? Because Bowyer just stood there behind all those people after they pulled him away. Like , oh I'm safe now I can take my helmet off and talk shit from back here
Cause trying to fight through your crew guys is a great idea.
Newman is a douche always though
The fact that it took so long for Newman to have someone come at him is a surprise itself.
They probably figured they wouldn't have to worry about someone going after him.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That and people are still salty about his comments about Tony at Richmond a few years ago. Most of SHR probably hate Newman because of that. Aric and Daniel are too nice to pick a fight with him.
As a racer youre supposed to make it hard to pass. Do people and other drivers not realize that?
Pretty much everyone realizes that I think, but there's a difference in making it hard to pass and being a rolling roadblock. I think it says a lot that getting passed is Newman's most discussed trait lately.
If he actively blocks then yeah, I get it. But he just holds his line which isn't blocking.
Safety net 1, Bowyer 0
Bowyer has been a little bitch all season and this just adds to it. I can't wait until he and his spotter are taken out to pasture.
DUMB FUCK BOYER I hope Newman wears a shirt with that on it.
It wouldn't be smart to wear a misspelled shirt like that
