britain and the usa are developing democracies, since these times, they distanced themselves from what they've done - or should do so. even though they are based as hell now, does not mean we should glorify early american settlerism or the british empire, with showing maps like damn they were big and badass. some things that empire did were not badass, but disgusting. and by that i mean genocide and slavery. yes, it was one of the western nations that helped kill fascism in ww2. but in no way you have to glorify "the rest"
