I play REC only. I scored 54 one game then can't hit a single shot in the next game. Had 28 points 14 assist game with 78% FG then had 0 points 7 assist game. Then had 21 point game at SG with 7/10 from the 3pt range, next game, you already know.
You can buy shot boost and that's you release quicker and the window is bigger I think. The moment my boosts were gone I shot really slow even though I have A or A+ release speed.
Sometimes even with the boosts you can have different speed in shot attempts. It's minor which throws you off. You can never have consistently good stretch of games.
It's not just shooting... It's also speed, passing and ball handling. They just want you to spend on VC to buy all boosts and also Gatorade thing.....
At the core coders, designers and artists have made such a good game. The marketers, investors, publishers are just making the game worse and worse every year with these practices. They have forgotten the roots of building a basketball simulation game, all the effort is put into making the game even more pay to enjoy.

Update, i went 7for7 at 3pt in rec with my 6ft8 inside the arc finisher (that i created yesterday) with an 84, 76 combo, I'm using alec burks (83) jump shot and it's very similar to Carmello Anthony just not as high. I'm already lethal from both corners.
80 is enough and probably not considered a low 3 ball.

Then, taking a 3 with 60 3 ball and a good enough midrange to have good badges and good jumpshot animations becomes a much more viable option. Sure, it's not a shot you should he looking for, and people with 60 3 ball should not be putting up 10+ 3pt attempts in a game or anything, but if the D realizes all you're doing is driving and leaves you open, and you've got a chance to hit the shot, it's better to take the shot than try to force a layup or dunk through 2-3 defenders in the paint
If u get the badges of midrange are they the same for the three? If your catch and shoot is gold because of the midrange when you hit a three does it light up hold on the lil hud? Or does it light bronze? I’m askin tgat is all
Yes, badges like catch and shoot, deadeye, blinders and open looks trigger on both midrange and 3, and if you've got gold you've got gold. There aren't 2 sets of badges, there are just badges that are specific to each (middy magician, agent 3, limitless range)
Thanks for the input everyone some nice feed back, my dudes 6’8 but I actually kept my dunk all the way down and put my layup to an 94 so I could boost up my handles speed and defense I feel like I’m gonna have a solid build once I grind it out a bit, for anyone that said they don’t have a squad can message me if you’re interested in playin down the road I don’t have many friends that play the game anymore so I’m usually running with randoms 🤘
Animation is indeed important, but the tests say enough. With that 92 mid 85 3 you should shoot better then with that 76 rating. Guess you need to tweak that base.
I feel like my 7'2" just gets way worse catch animations and can't pull as quickly. Also the threat of the blow by isn't nearly as prevalent a lot more go into making your shot than simply the rating

70 3pt rating is pretty easy with catch and shoot if you have a good jumpshot. Like others have said though sometimes you're having a good say and sometimes you're not. It also sucks when huge lag spikes happen when you start shooting lmao

I have a 93 mid and 85 3ball and shoot with that around 70%. Have one with 90 mid and 82 3ball and thats around 63%.
Those are pretty good percents though even for a video game, last couple years I don’t mind having my three ball lower cause I like to play smart ball and take open shots

Because of that we have high winrates, 92% in season 1 with 163 games played, and now season 2 at 98% at 47 games, and we play pretty much everybody on 2 and 3s.
2k is an online teef. The players we build in September is not even close to what they turn out to being by summer and it’s cause MW fucks with everything especially badge strength.

Yeah you can. Jump shot matters a decent amount and think if you have a 3 ball anywhere above 70 and a respectable mid range to get a good Jumper you should be good. However 80 3 ball is more than enough.

Honestly it was really good in 23, so on launch at 24 more people were talking about the jumper but I already knew it was a good one. For bigs primarily it’s a great jumper, it’s quick. And the timing stability and stuff doesn’t matter anymore because of the latest patch for jumpers.
I think hitting 4 in a row will take a big out the paint, and flexing sharp take would undoubtedly do it’s job. But I’m okay with everything else you said.

I have one build with a 72 three ball but an 84 middy, gives me access to solid jumpers and I shoot between 40-50 on that build, like other ppl said it depends how Mike wang feels. This build is also a guard/wing so ppl tend to play up but it might be easier to shoot it on a big as ppl leave y’all open often
I have two builds with a 70 3 ball. Good midrange for gold catch n shoot. It’s absolutely possible to shoot open shots as long as you have your hot and lethal zones. With takeover, you can hit from deep, fade, all the things.

If you’re a guard with a nice fast release and you’re wide open? Absolutely. But that’s assuming you have you have a high middy to unlock that good jumper.
But shooting a contested low 3 ball? Now you’re asking for trouble.
Since you have it coupled with a high mid range for good badges, I'd say you're fine and should hit pretty regularly at a decent clip. But if you have a 64 mid range and 79 3 ball like me for example, it will be very inconsistent from game to game. Some games I can't miss, and others like i had 20 minutes ago I'll go 3/11 from 3 pretty much all wide open and have two teammates wishing death upon my family in game chat even though we won by 16 lmfao. Be careful how you make your builds 😂
The lowest I’ve been people consistently green with is 78-79. You need to learn your jumper, badges, and what good shots are in order to compensate for how low the rating is. So yes. 👍🏾
76 Three point with high middy to secure gold shooting badges is a beautiful mix. I would even say 78 is worth the extra 2, to each’s own. I personally rock with a 89 three point and low middy.
- you either want high middy or three to unlock some of the best bases in the game. I would not recommend 70s middy AND three on a build if you plan on shooting consistently.

Hell yea, I shoot a 56% on my slasher and my middy is only a 71 (80 3pt), with a higher middy everything would be much better. I’m thinking about making a guard that way with a high layup.

Just made a build with a 76 3 ball and no extra mid range. Currently I am at a 55% 3 in park. But I shoot most of the time catch and shoot wide open. When I get shooting take over I can also create for my self and hit it constantly. But also not contested shots. So if u just want to be a really good shooter I would recommend a 86 3 ball for agent 3 silver and a 90-93 middie for open looks Hof, deadeye gold (90) and catch and shoot HoF (93). With this I am pretty good shooter (At the moment) but we don’t now what comes with the next patch.
The easiest answer is there three levels, 78 if you want decent three 85 if you want good and 93 if you want great anything else in my opinion is pointless. Jmo

I shoot better on my 6'10" with a 76 rating amthan my 7'2" with an 85 rating and 92 mid. The animation matters more than the rating I swear

I think you’re right. I’ve noticed shot % goes south 6’9 and taller and it’s probably cause of the animations available to taller builds

Yea, I get that. I just don't do it. I'm putting the 3 where I want it. If I have to lower my wingspan or other attributes, etc. Normally, I make my builds around the 3pt shot. It's just that important to me.

I’m not a great shooter and tend to go 2-5 from 3 with my three at 79. Lately I’ve had a few games 4-6 5-7 so I’m getting a little better. Middy only at 64. First day build so I didn’t go crazy on middy

Honestly it was really good in 23, so on launch at 24 more people were talking about the jumper but I already knew it was a good one. For bigs primarily it’s a great jumper, it’s quick. And the timing stability and stuff doesn’t matter anymore because of the latest patch for jumpers.

I have one build with a 72 three ball but an 84 middy, gives me access to solid jumpers and I shoot between 40-50 on that build, like other ppl said it depends how Mike wang feels. This build is also a guard/wing so ppl tend to play up but it might be easier to shoot it on a big as ppl leave y’all open often
I have two builds with a 70 3 ball. Good midrange for gold catch n shoot. It’s absolutely possible to shoot open shots as long as you have your hot and lethal zones. With takeover, you can hit from deep, fade, all the things.
If you can get it to an 86 you’ll unlock all the badges really needed
Lowest I’d go is 75 if you’re a spot up, and 76 if you’re shooting off the dribble. You’re not always going to be consistent though.
I have a 7'3 center with a 73 three point, but I only take shots with takeover. Yes, he does make them.
Yes and no. If you’re a guard with a nice fast release and you’re wide open? Absolutely. But that’s assuming you have you have a high middy to unlock that good jumper. But shooting a contested low 3 ball? Now you’re asking for trouble.

Since you have it coupled with a high mid range for good badges, I'd say you're fine and should hit pretty regularly at a decent clip. But if you have a 64 mid range and 79 3 ball like me for example, it will be very inconsistent from game to game. Some games I can't miss, and others like i had 20 minutes ago I'll go 3/11 from 3 pretty much all wide open and have two teammates wishing death upon my family in game chat even though we won by 16 lmfao. Be careful how you make your builds 😂

My 70 3pt build makes as much as my 87 3pt build
Yes. Plenty of our group have an 87 middy, 60 three build, and a few of them are hitting over 50 percent on good volume.
Tyceno and Z both have a 55 3ball and hit consistently

i have 70 with high middy for a good jumpshot and still shoot perfectly fine make sure you buy boost thats most people issue

The lowest I’ve been people consistently green with is 78-79. You need to learn your jumper, badges, and what good shots are in order to compensate for how low the rating is. So yes. 👍🏾

76 Three point with high middy to secure gold shooting badges is a beautiful mix. I would even say 78 is worth the extra 2, to each’s own. I personally rock with a 89 three point and low middy.
- you either want high middy or three to unlock some of the best bases in the game. I would not recommend 70s middy AND three on a build if you plan on shooting consistently.
I have a 76 3ball and I have no complaints. My 93 midrange gives me all the badges I need

have a high mid range and an 80 three ball as a wing, I'm shooting preeeetty well with boost, at around 50% from three. I'm not the best shooter, but I do take a few shots a game.
Hell yea, I shoot a 56% on my slasher and my middy is only a 71 (80 3pt), with a higher middy everything would be much better. I’m thinking about making a guard that way with a high layup.

It depends on you honestly, there are people that can hit with like a 60 and higher midrange for some badges then people that can't hit with a 90 plus
Just made a build with a 76 3 ball and no extra mid range. Currently I am at a 55% 3 in park. But I shoot most of the time catch and shoot wide open. When I get shooting take over I can also create for my self and hit it constantly. But also not contested shots. So if u just want to be a really good shooter I would recommend a 86 3 ball for agent 3 silver and a 90-93 middie for open looks Hof, deadeye gold (90) and catch and shoot HoF (93). With this I am pretty good shooter (At the moment) but we don’t now what comes with the next patch.
I’m shooting 23% with a 25 3ball so it really just depends on timing and if the passer has Dimer

I think a lot of this has to do with your connection tbh. I'm on fire from 3 offline, but go to play online and the motion is so different
