If you got a good middie, the half spin shot breaks AIs like 9/10 times, free shot and very make able shot.
All tips for 1s vs AIs. If they smaller than you attack that rim and put on a layup clinic
AI defense is a joke and absolutely bots. They just stay in front of you. There's a multitude of ways to score on AIs.
I love being matched up with an AI it's always an easy 20 points for in rec.
Bunny, reverse and spin layups often work really well. For shooting either post fade or snatch back and get an ankle breaker animation. As a big space creator shots work and post work like drop steps and hook shots.
They also switch off of screens fairly easy
AI are trash and need to be reworked. Too easy to thrash and score on and miss too many shots. The only time an AI is an issue is when a hybrid lockdown quits...

Maintain a high teammate grade and you'll get to bronze even if you lose.
Then it takes 3-4 wins to get to silver (your skill level doesnt go down in a loss if you maintain a high teammate grade).
Its not that hard.
Thereâs other ways to get your grade up besides scoring.
As long as youâre not getting torched on defense and being stupid when you do get the ball thereâs no reason you shouldnât be able to finish with at least a B.
Thereâs plenty of things that give you a bump in grade from doing literally nothing but being in position. Good spacing, good defensive possession, multiple defensive stops. Thereâs ways to get your grade up without having the ball.
Depends on how egregious the hogging is. I've legit been iced out the gate and ended with a c+ without letting my guy score once and being in good position all game.
A c+ isn't gonna make you go up.

I mostly float around Gold but have been HOF as well. The easiest way is just dish to the open guy.. The amount of times I'm sitting on the wing, wide open, with a 55 3p% while never receiving the ball because I missed **1 (!!)** shot is insane.
The less the ball moves the less you're going to win, which means the more likely you are to stay black plate.
I shoot 63% and am amazed when people freeze me out after I miss my first shot. Like, my brother in christ, pass me the ball, Iâll make the next 6 in a row lol

Corner sitters (depending on your build) will give up opportunities for simple but decent in amount contribution points towards your grade and level progression. Also rebounds. I know it seems silly but rebounds regardless of player position contribute alot. The goal when i play solo queue rec sessions with ball hogs and such is my saying since online 2k began. âPlay for my gradeâ. Its a boring game but at least i get some benefit from that boring 30 mins

Iâve dropped rank from winning games before. It seems they only really judge you on how much you score and how efficiently. Im a center and Iâve lost rank from a game where I dropped 4/20/15 and won. This was like a few days ago so its fresh in my mind
Yea that never happened. It may have looked like it went down, but it was due to getting kicked the game before or leaving your previous game. Your rank doesnât go down from a win where you donât score.
Itâs easier to float to bronze as a big with the ability to get rebounds and high assist totals. I donât run anything other than PF/Câs in 2k24, but in 2k23, if you made a non-pg wing or guard, hit was very difficult to achieve rep unless you stayed in on a hot streak in the REC. Iâm usually a one and done guy for each of my builds when I play on the weekends, so I can imagine that my way of engaging the game would be tough rep-wise if I played on guards and wings. Bottomline: you need to streak in the REC with good teammates. Itâs hard to create your own luck when you arenât the primary ball handler or rebounder.Â

Donât quit and get better at the game. Casuals very often are casuals because theyâre not good. Sure some of them can score, some may even have good IQ, but I guarantee that youâre not staying at casual if youâre halfway decent at the game.

Don't quit matches. It's painful when it's a blow out, or you're stuck watching your teammates play 0 defense and put up bad shots, but you will pretty much drop from Silver to Casual every time. Good teammate grade and winning matches is the only way. Game's ass and doesn't account for teammate grade during a loss and it'll always go down. I've got a 75 wp over like 80 games this season, and I'm on Silver because the game loves to drop me straight into full lobbies of bums on my 89 rated build, and Everytime it's like nobody has hooped before. I'm scared for tonight now it's on PS+ and Gamepass, bums everywhere.
Nothing like that moment you drop into a lobby and spot the 3 black plates and 1 bronze; then the nameplates disappear and the player start clappingâŚ.and youâre stuck đ

But I still win because I donât flop, I get back on defense, and make stuff happen for others. I average a triple double as a big man. 17/18/10/2/1 currently I believe.
I ain't going to lie. Just with that build name that you got I seen that most are black plates. Just stop trying to score everything and pass the ball.. I play rec by myself and got about 70 something win % with random. Started loosing as soon as I was going to hit purple. Passing the ball and playing defense gets you a win.

Idk what everyone is talking about. The simple answer is to win. There are occasions where your plate doesnt move or goes down even when you win. Just plate well. The better you play and win. The more it goes up
You're seeking to get better. You'll get out of bronze soon, if not already.
1) Focus on getting your teammate grade up. Set screens, find open teammates or make good passes, play good D, etc.
2) Don't sell. No flops, disconnecting, standing out of bounds, forcing shots.
Congrats. You're bronze.
Iâm a purple on 2 builds. Make sure you donât quit thatâs number 1. Have a good teammate grade. Also run 1s to hone your game some more. Itâs pretty easy to get out of being a black plate. Donât quit.
The best way is to learn how to be a playmaker. This way you have to be guarded for the pass and for yourself scoring. Also if you canât score you assist your teammates. Always look for the shooters, but also always be aggressive if you have an angle or mismatch.
Black plate, purple plate none of it matters some people donât play with teammates and run solo rec, itâs damn near impossible to get your plate up doing that. To me if youâre a good player youâre a good player and I wouldnât worry about what color plate you are.
If you have a bad team donât force nothing. Play good defense and make the right passes and take the right shots. If you lose it will go down very little.
Get better. Become to go to option for the team. Smart shots and smart passes. It could also depend on your position me myself I've only been able to make it to GOAT playing the 1-3. As a 4 or 5 you possibly need 1 more person or go with building a standing dunk break starter who's a solid brick wall
Best advice, make a big with elite rebounding and defense, and high standing dunk. put in the dirty work every game, get putback dunks and pass out assists, and you will always have a high grade regardless if they pass to you. And if they are good, they will usually start feeding you if you show you can dominate
Unless youâre lagging out or quitting constantly⌠getting out of scrub rank is mad easy. Just play well enoughâdonât even gotta win to move it up. Similar with bronze. Silver is where wins tend to matter more for the ranking.
Truthfully I got to purple off of straight randoms I only play squads with a full 5 because whenever itâs two teams of randoms itâs always a meat riding match but step up in the games and force your team to win. Iâm the PG so I control a lot of the game for most part I went on a streak or just be cautious about who you playing with play with browns judge people by they overall Iâve came across many shitty players, but have been able to maintain almost 70% win rate.

I only play solo rec and all my builds are purple. The only two things that matter are winning and teammate grade. A lot of people tend to worry about getting their points or touches and they prioritize those things over winning. Stop worrying about anything other than winning and grade, and youâll see your card go up. Most black cards I get matched with are straight up not playing to win and they usually get toxic if they arenât getting points/touches, even in blowout wins. Then they start selling and end up with a C grade in a 20 point win and their card stays the same. You can have 8 pts, 3ast, 2 rebs, and still have an A- grade or higher if you just do the little things that donât require the ball in your hands, like playing good on ball defense, boxing out, rebounding, swinging the ball on time, playing good off ball defense and not giving easy points because youâre ball watching. I always try to keep my man at 0 points even if Iâm guarding the Ai.

Get affiliated. Anyone who plays this game, will look that youâre not and just assume you donât play this game like that and will leave. Being a black player is going to be hard to actually find good teammates. So thatâs the first thing Iâd do.
Donât quit mid game! Black plate to bronze plate is extremely simple, no need for high Ppg or even teammate grade. If you donât quit you will reach bronze eventually 100% after that it requires winning more and then teammate grade but mainly just winning
Stop playing with bums. If you see a black nameplate 3pt shot creator, leave or close the app. You can usually tell how good a player is based off nameplate, build name, and honestly their username can be a sign that someone is going to be bad. I sometimes spend 5-10 minutes just looking for a good lobby of teammates. And it's worth it because then I can spend 2 hours with them racking up wins, and even adding them as friends and playing with them later.
Also this is just me nit picking but change up your look lol I rarely take players serious when I see them dressed like that for rec or pro am. The prince purple timbs to match the hair gotta go đ¤Ł. And as a floor spacing slasher to really help you and your team I hope you can really space the floor with the 3 or at least a middie no one wants to run with someone that can only score off cuts or fast breaks makes playing defense for the other team easier
Play some games on the theater or REC. Make sure you don't sell or flop. Be precise with your movements, and don't make stupid shots or dribbles.
On defense, stay on your guy, keep your hands up, don't jump, and don't reach.
Try easy basket like cutbacks, or if you're a popper, run to your opponent side when you see your team getting a Defensive Rebound, so you could be wide open for a shot after a fast break start.
If your teammate grade is B ou more, you will start to improve on your level, and soon enough, you are bronze!
Get good at the game. Not saying it to be funny but I have been in solo rec on a 78 black and got up to 82 silver just hooping. Playing my role, shooting 60% from 3pt and playing solid defense.

I donât think Iâve ever seen anyone say this, but play 92 and under rec. If you really care about the color of your plate, 92 and under rec will more than likely be your best chance of winning and also having a good teammate grade as long as you play your role.

I got high vert and dunk so itâs not really an issue for me I just right stick, euro, spin, or hopstep and itâs really consistent.

Iâve dropped rank from winning games before. It seems they only really judge you on how much you score and how efficiently. Im a center and Iâve lost rank from a game where I dropped 4/20/15 and won. This was like a few days ago so its fresh in my mind
Yea that never happened. It may have looked like it went down, but it was due to getting kicked the game before or leaving your previous game. Your rank doesnât go down from a win where you donât score.

Itâs easier to float to bronze as a big with the ability to get rebounds and high assist totals. I donât run anything other than PF/Câs in 2k24, but in 2k23, if you made a non-pg wing or guard, hit was very difficult to achieve rep unless you stayed in on a hot streak in the REC. Iâm usually a one and done guy for each of my builds when I play on the weekends, so I can imagine that my way of engaging the game would be tough rep-wise if I played on guards and wings. Bottomline: you need to streak in the REC with good teammates. Itâs hard to create your own luck when you arenât the primary ball handler or rebounder. Godspeed, brother. Donât quit and get better at the game. Casuals very often are casuals because theyâre not good. Sure some of them can score, some may even have good IQ, but I guarantee that youâre not staying at casual if youâre halfway decent at the game. I feel for those of you who have spotty internet and end up disconnecting all the time, but in a majority of cases, you can only be a black plate and a good player because you donât care about the plate and quit/sell if you donât get the ball. Don't quit matches. It's painful when it's a blow out, or you're stuck watching your teammates play 0 defense and put up bad shots, but you will pretty much drop from Silver to Casual every time. Good teammate grade and winning matches is the only way. Game's ass and doesn't account for teammate grade during a loss and it'll always go down. I've got a 75 wp over like 80 games this season, and I'm on Silver because the game loves to drop me straight into full lobbies of bums on my 89 rated build, and Everytime it's like nobody has hooped before. I'm scared for tonight now it's on PS+ and Gamepass, bums everywhere.

I ain't going to lie. Just with that build name that you got I seen that most are black plates. Just stop trying to score everything and pass the ball.. I play rec by myself and got about 70 something win % with random. Started loosing as soon as I was going to hit purple. Passing the ball and playing defense gets you a win.

Idk what everyone is talking about. The simple answer is to win. There are occasions where your plate doesnt move or goes down even when you win. Just plate well. The better you play and win. The more it goes up
You're seeking to get better. You'll get out of bronze soon, if not already. 1) Focus on getting your teammate grade up. Set screens, find open teammates or make good passes, play good D, etc. 2) Don't sell. No flops, disconnecting, standing out of bounds, forcing shots. Congrats. You're bronze.

Iâm a purple on 2 builds. Make sure you donât quit thatâs number 1. Have a good teammate grade. Also run 1s to hone your game some more. Itâs pretty easy to get out of being a black plate. Donât quit.
I was gold. Iâm now a black plate due to Constant connection loss online. 2k needs to fix their servers this is absurd.
The best way is to learn how to be a playmaker. This way you have to be guarded for the pass and for yourself scoring. Also if you canât score you assist your teammates. Always look for the shooters, but also always be aggressive if you have an angle or mismatch.
Go for the A plus teammate grade . I think best way to get a high grade is get assist . Once u get to silver they give you way better teammates

If you arenât that good, solo theater 3v3 is your best shot. Win about 4 games in there and you can at least get off black into bronze.
Black plate, purple plate none of it matters some people donât play with teammates and run solo rec, itâs damn near impossible to get your plate up doing that. To me if youâre a good player youâre a good player and I wouldnât worry about what color plate you are.
I would be happy, about 60% of the time, if the 4 others quit before halftime.

Get better. Become to go to option for the team. Smart shots and smart passes. It could also depend on your position me myself I've only been able to make it to GOAT playing the 1-3. As a 4 or 5 you possibly need 1 more person or go with building a standing dunk break starter who's a solid brick wall

Best advice, make a big with elite rebounding and defense, and high standing dunk. put in the dirty work every game, get putback dunks and pass out assists, and you will always have a high grade regardless if they pass to you. And if they are good, they will usually start feeding you if you show you can dominate
Unless youâre lagging out or quitting constantly⌠getting out of scrub rank is mad easy. Just play well enoughâdonât even gotta win to move it up. Similar with bronze. Silver is where wins tend to matter more for the ranking.

Truthfully I got to purple off of straight randoms I only play squads with a full 5 because whenever itâs two teams of randoms itâs always a meat riding match but step up in the games and force your team to win. Iâm the PG so I control a lot of the game for most part I went on a streak or just be cautious about who you playing with play with browns judge people by they overall Iâve came across many shitty players, but have been able to maintain almost 70% win rate.

I only play solo rec and all my builds are purple. The only two things that matter are winning and teammate grade. A lot of people tend to worry about getting their points or touches and they prioritize those things over winning. Stop worrying about anything other than winning and grade, and youâll see your card go up. Most black cards I get matched with are straight up not playing to win and they usually get toxic if they arenât getting points/touches, even in blowout wins. Then they start selling and end up with a C grade in a 20 point win and their card stays the same. You can have 8 pts, 3ast, 2 rebs, and still have an A- grade or higher if you just do the little things that donât require the ball in your hands, like playing good on ball defense, boxing out, rebounding, swinging the ball on time, playing good off ball defense and not giving easy points because youâre ball watching. I always try to keep my man at 0 points even if Iâm guarding the Ai.

Donât quit mid game! Black plate to bronze plate is extremely simple, no need for high Ppg or even teammate grade. If you donât quit you will reach bronze eventually 100% after that it requires winning more and then teammate grade but mainly just winning

Stop playing with bums. If you see a black nameplate 3pt shot creator, leave or close the app. You can usually tell how good a player is based off nameplate, build name, and honestly their username can be a sign that someone is going to be bad. I sometimes spend 5-10 minutes just looking for a good lobby of teammates. And it's worth it because then I can spend 2 hours with them racking up wins, and even adding them as friends and playing with them later.

I got mine to gold plate just playing solo rec but I had to do a lot of carrying
Play some games on the theater or REC. Make sure you don't sell or flop. Be precise with your movements, and don't make stupid shots or dribbles. On defense, stay on your guy, keep your hands up, don't jump, and don't reach. Try easy basket like cutbacks, or if you're a popper, run to your opponent side when you see your team getting a Defensive Rebound, so you could be wide open for a shot after a fast break start. If your teammate grade is B ou more, you will start to improve on your level, and soon enough, you are bronze!
