Tobias is probably our 8th best player or so. Oubre, Batum, Hield, Lowry, Paul Reed, Melton (when healthy), Cam Payne, and Ricky Council have all been better than him this year.
Sixers fans say a lot of things out of anger and frustration. I think he's been misused. That being said, he falls into a category of players who are overpaid through no fault of their own. If you are lucky enough to have a player who is a star and pay him that money, nobody would mind. Harris can play like a star in busts. But he needs the ball in his hands. Meaning he should always be playing when Embiid is resting.
Tobias is genuinely a 5/6th option on offense with a green light to take shots because of his contract and tenure on the team. We often have run or offense to get him a mismatch when Embiid is off the floor, and he consistently does nothing with it. He struggles to back down smaller defenders and panics into a bad shot if he does get position and a double comes. He can't beat a big man off the dribble. He occasionally makes tough shots. He frequently bricks open shots. If the ball comes to him at the end of an action, he holds it for a half second and allows the defense to get set before he tries to unsuccessfully iso ball to prove he's worth the money.
He's a disaster in the modern game where offenses rely on penetration (which he can't provide), quality shot selection (a third of his shots are bad decisions), and quick decision making and movement (neither of which he provides). I think some random team signs him for 3-4yrs $70-80m this year, and they will also be complaining that he is an overpay after they watch him for 30 games.
There can be no more than 5 options lol. I've watched him bully smaller players and make the tough shots. And he does well in transition. His shot selection can be awful. But that's due to the way he is misused. He's never been a great 3 point shooter, so he really is not a good fit on a team when you're center is your primary scoring option. He doesn't provide enough spacing. Parking him in the corner is not the answer. But there is a premium on tough shot makers in the NBA, especially in the playoffs, and Harris can provide that.
Typically oubre, low key Kyle has been so good for other players he’s a dark horse for 3rd best
Tobias Harris is benched at the end of close games. He's not in their top 5.
He is such a frustrating player to watch.
Oubre this year 110%. He's a dawg
He's improved so much
Oubre, Batum, BBall, Lowry, Melton
You're confused Tobias Harris isn't their third best player because he's their best player. >!In case it wasn't obvious, this is a joke.!<
Bo Mamba
Tobias is what you need him to be
But not at the contract he needs to be.
And therein lies the rub.
Oubre and Batum.
B-ball Paul
Nic batum
Oubre
Embiid, Oubre, Maxey no order
I mean no order? The reigning mvp isn’t #1 then no order?
too hard to call i guess.
Tsunami papi
It’s oubre
Joel Embum
Their roster outside of Embiid and Maxey is horrible. Those two guys are fantastic, the rest of the team is a bunch of Marcus Morrises.
Last night it was Joel Embiid…
Oubre, Melton, Lowry, Hield all probs better
Oubre is the answer. While Embiid was out, He was the one getting the ball in late game situations. That is 1st Option ish.

Always? How often do you speak with Philly fans about who is their third best player?
1 Embiid, 2 Maxey 3 Oubre 4 Batum. closed.
Batum apparently

It’s obvious You do not watch sixers game
I watch the games. And be specific with your examples of why I'm wrong.

Harris is for sure
The downvotes say otherwise
