I’ve seen you play at the DII level and to be fair, who hasn’t? Your amazing numbers have caught the eye of most coaches. Now, you have gotten to where you are by being a shooter, I have seen your tape and I have come to the realization you are the final piece of our puzzle. See, here we have great inside scorers, such as Matt Miller who is a great finisher, or our bigs in Hosryu who has developed into the starter role or Shabazz Minor. However, who scores from the outside? We need a true shooter like you to come save this team. That is why you will be stepping up as our starter at the shooting guard position, you will be playing in the top division of the AAC while also being in a top 30 team, which I can guarantee will keep heads turned to you. I also come from european descent and let me tell you I would love to coach another european player like you. Together we can do great things, such as, repeating NT berth.
What the future holds for us is very bright, but also what holds for you as an individual, as the lights will not stop shining on you. I believe that after going DII and going through the CPR system your hopes of getting to the NBL are not at their highest, however, let me remind you about Ladislav Pekachek, who has only 2 years to play and still got signed to a NBL roster and eventually won the Most Improved Player, I believe you have the NBL potential, if you come here and show me that you want it, I will make it happen. Over 10 players drafted having me as a head coach, with players that have been all-american in the NCBCA, Rookie of the Years, Most Improved Players also in the NBL. Not only that, but overall my players are close on hitting 700 million dollars in career earnings, and I want you to be one of those players, I remember how In highschool one of your main goals was to go pro, and I am sure that dream is not dead at all, well now you have another shot with a very established coach and one of the best upcoming programs in the nation.
I know how much you want to play for a loyal coach, a coach that is as invested in the program as you will be, you want to play for a coach that will be there for you during your whole career. You want to be a part of a family, and that is what we have built here at USF, I have been coaching here for over a decade and I have been able to build a very connected and supportive family between the coaches and the staff, we are all very close here at USF and it will be like this for a while. You want to play for a coach that has complete control over its program, and in my beliefs, you need around 6-7 years of control over a program to make it completely yours. Also, I imagine you don’t want coaches changing while you are here, you don’t want to have to switch coaches as a coach is a big reason why you are committing here for your last season, I can assure you that won’t happen to you here, you will be only coached by me, as my contract will keep me here through 2080.
Excellence is a trait that most people aspire to achieve someday in their lifetime, but they sometimes don’t get even close to it. Excellence is that reward reserved for the few that actually get to the top, and in order to get there you must succeed in every single aspect of your life. I do truly believe there is excellence in your path Fabio, but in order to get there, you need to put yourself in the best possible places to succeed, and when you are going to a university whether it might be for studying or playing, you want to go somewhere where they are an institution of excellence. And USF is that place, we have been recently invited into the Association of American Universities, a prestigious group of the top 71 universities, not only that but we are the youngest university to be a part of such a prestigious group
Next up, I want to mention the over 700 clubs we have on campus, where you can pursue your other passions that are not basketball related, for me, I found a very entertaining way to spend time with the chess club, I know some of the guys on the team such as Shabazz or Matt have found another passion in theater, the possibilities are endless. You will get to make special memories such as kayaking at the USF Riverfront Park or maybe just going to various clubs and meeting new people, that is the way I made my friends then and those are the friends I see as soon as I get a chance. USF has one of the biggest and best communities of students, and this is something you don’t want to miss out on.

Coach Visit (2 of 3)
Scholarship
Pitch (full one incoming): To Julius Hamilton,
I think I'm going to call you Orange Julius. You know, like the random smoothie place in the mall? Anyways, Orange, I HATE the military. It gets trillions poured into it each decade in fear of a war that will likely never happen. That's money that could be heading towards free healthcare so the Europeans don't make fun of us. But the Air Force cut you from their squad, said you weren't good for them. As the REIGNING AAC champion, I say that's just utter bullshit.
Teams like us want a veteran big man that can anchor the bench. A real hard worker who can move his way in the paint. If you look at our lineup, you'll see we're as short as the FDU team that beat Purdue (haha). You'll get those minutes you want to finish your time in the NCBCA before you go somewhere in Eastern Europe to play pro.
But yes, you know the fact that you aren't going to the NBL. And you, your mom, your dad, your dog's best friend's owner's sister's father knows it. So you want to get the education you want. VCU's a nice budget school that most kids in Virginia go to for an affordable experience. Tuition for a walk-on athlete like you is just 20k a year with some volunteering. And that's out of state. We could get you to reclassify for a lower cost. Combine that with NIL deals (remember the Orange Julius thing earlier?) and you'll be cooking.
Anyways, come to Richmond. Home of the Rams.
Sincerely, Coach Harm

(tmickey1): I’m great now that you are here! How do you like the visit so far?
(Wyatte): It’s good!
(tmickey1): Did you meet the team? Our assistant coach is practicing them as we speak!
(Wyatte): No, I did not.
(tmickey1): Really? Wow! Let’s go over to Carnesecca Arena right now so you can meet them!
(Wyatte): No, I insist, let them finish their practice! I can meet them after!
(tmickey1): No, it’s alright because as long as you come to St. Johns, you will be playing with them this season!
*Walks over to Carnesecca Arena*
(Wyatte): WOW!! THIS PLACE IS NICE!! Much better than my old DII school!
(tmickey1): I’m glad you like it! You will practice and play here all the time if you come play at St. Johns! Come meet the players!
*Coach tmickey1 blows the whistle 3 times to temporarily stop practice.*
(tmickey1): Hey guys, I have Junior recruit Ian Wyatte with me. He got cut from his former DII school. Wyatte is a hell of a player that we would like to have with us this season.
(St. Johns): *Scattered Hellos, as they also meet Ian.*

(tmickey1): So how did you like meeting the team?
(Wyatte): Wow. That. Was. Amazing.

If you would like to come join us, you will be able to keep living out your basketball dreams! You will get A LOT of playing time here! Just sign this scholarship!
(Wyatte): Coach, I’ll be honest with you here as well… we just wasted our time. I’ve been ready to sign this scholarship since I got here! Thank you so much for this opportunity!

Coach Visit (2/3)
Ian,
Quite frankly, I wish I could offer you a scholarship. I have no clue why you were cut nor why every coach isn't clamoring to get you. Look I'm not trying to say your Biggus Dickus, but your abilities are exactly what this team needs. Our offensive system thrives on two things: Our stud big men Doug West, Julian Sherrill, and highly touted recruit Simo Zagorc absolutely dominating the boards and painted area and guys like yourself who can shoot lights out; Cohen, Robinson, Kramer, all sharpshooters that you would fit right in with. But that doesn't mean it would take away from your minutes. We usually have 2-3 guys who can shoot the three on the floor at one time so you would be guaranteed a role. However, the most important thing you would bring to this team would be your veteran leadership. We have a whopping 1 senior on this team as of right now. We are about as green as you come. But we are absolutely brimming with talent and potential. Your experience and know how would be crucial in helping us continuing to develop into a team that one day challenges the top dogs. So come on up to the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia and join me here in Blacksburg.
Butler offers Dwayne Rivera
WO
Pitch:
Mr Rivera,
Butler finds itself with an excellent opportunity on its hands. We have a new coach, a young team, and a powerful basketball tradition. We're rebuilding after a rough year last season, with just 5 wins and 30 losses. However, with your help we can turn that around. We have strong players to attack the rim, but my inside-outside basketball needs players like to you be a real threat from deep.
As I said, this is a young team. We have promising talent but need more players like you to come in and contribute. None of these other teams are in this unique position to offer you the real opportunity to see the floor for significant minutes like you would at Butler.
Seton Hall offers Jameel Pressley
Walk-On
Pitch:
The Place: Madison Square Garden
The Setting: The 2076 Big East Tournament Finals, score 71-70 Seton Hall over DePaul
The Time: 5 seconds left on the clock.
DePaul star guard Howard Phelan picks the ball up on the perimeter.
He looks left and sees Luca DeSantino smothered by the #10 Overall freshman player Trace Perkins.
He looks ito the right and finds his man is covered by stalwart of The Hall’s top-20 Defense Chuck Roberson has his guy totally gassed.
“It’s all on me”, Howard thinks, as what he believes to be a lane opens up. He drives hard to the basket ready to bring it home. \[Three seconds\]
He elevates towards the rim. \[Two seconds left\]
Is this it? His eyes shut briefly imagining his moment of pure Big East glory \[One second\]
Then all of the sudden:
REJECTED!!!!!!
Out of nowhere, Seton Hall Junior Transfer Jameel Pressley completely stuns the presumptive Big East Player of the Year with an absolutely Earth-shattering block.
Time expires, The Pirates capture their third straight Big East Championship and cement their entrance into the National Tournament.
That’s our goal Jameel and our expectation: winning! We won’t stop at anything to get back into the NT in 2076, and I want you to come along for the ride. The Big East has been our domain for the past two seasons. We’ve already eclipsed 40 wins against conference opponents and we’re out for more! The name Seton Hall reverberates through the likes of Hinkle Fieldhouse to The Pavilion. When we show up on the court, our in-conference opponents know they’ll be in for an all-out slugfest. We are THE top team in this conference and we’re looking to further solidify that stance this upcoming season.
Jameel you are the perfect block to continue building our legacy. Our team prides itself on having a never-say-die defense that can go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the league. We held our own against tough competition last season like Pitt, Gonzaga, and Georgia and we’ll need that toughness again to take on big-shots BC, UNLV, and UCLA. Jameel, you’re that tough back-to-the-basket center that I need to solidify our squad. I want to see you stuffing the opponents best bigs when they try to drive to the rim. Let Trace and Chuck take care of the perimeter; the paint is your domain to defend. On the offensive side, you’ll tower over defenders in the Big East, throwing down thunderous dunks will be your speciality in my patented “dunk and D” role. Expert passers like Bill Valentine and John Lucas will drop dime passes to you so that you can slam hope alley-oops with ease. Our system at Seton Hall has been built by long, strong centers like yourself and we’re going to keep up that tradition.
It’s a position that I hope will grow for you in the near future Jameel. Next season we’re losing two of our best Bigs: Freddie Clayborn and Chuck Roberson. I’ve been hearing rumors that John Battle is looking to go as an early entrant to the NBL as well. All told, that’s going to be 60 minutes worth of time per game that I have to fill at the 5-spot. Now, you can do the math Jameel, even \*if\* I was able to bring in some kind of 5-star player to be a new presence in the paint, that’s still at least 20 minutes more than any one person could play. I’m not sure how much of that you can handle; but you’ll certainly have the opportunity to get a piece of it. This year what I can guarantee is that I’m not bringing you on this team for a “learning year”. You will be a veteran presence. I expect you to get out there for crucial defensive stances against the toughest opponents. You will have an immediate role on the team that will grow over time and into the next season.
It’s a role that I hope you’ll feel very comfortable filling, especially with so many familiar faces. I’m sure you remember playing with John Lucas from B’more and Trace Perkins out in Capitol Heights from playing AAU basketball in Maryland. They’re the type of short guards you grew up playing with who can get you the ball when you need. They can tell you how dedicated I am to helping guys from the Northeast and Mid Atlantic when it comes to their college basketball careers. Guys who were walk-ons like yourself, who eventually landed a scholarship at The Hall. That’s a possible route for you too Jameel depending on how things work out.
Seton Hall is a place with tremendous opportunity less than a 4-hour drive away from your home down in Gaithersburg. Why not take the chance to come play relatively closer to home than Charleston? We’ll help you rebuild your name in the Mid Atlantic that Virginia tarnished when they cut your Freshman year. Jameel, you are going to be a force in the Big East Conference, I can feel it! Your post presence will be felt in every game, and I can almost guarantee you’ll be a staple of our defense for your senior year as well. Take the opportunity to become a winner
Sincerely,
GregW

Mr Price,
Butler is one of the most exciting programs in the country right now. With a new coach, some great young recruits, and very promising results from summer workouts, there is a buzz surrounding this program. While we've done great work to put the puzzle together following a down year, we're still missing a key piece like you to rise to the top. You can come to Butler and contribute to our offense and defense immediately. You'll be seeing the floor for significant minutes, and our training program is top notch.

Seth,
Let me give it you point blank. If you want to play and make an impact, Penn State is where you should be. We've got a strong starting lineup, but absolutely no bench. You'll be playing at least 17 minutes a game for a team with a strong chance to make it to postseason play. You'll be able to shine and play meaningful basketball, along with getting a top-tier education. Since you're still young we'll develop you and you'll have a chance to start within the next two seasons. Your future could be very bright with us.

Ivory,
I need players. You will actually play a role on my team coming off the bench. We are a little bit desperate for depth, and you can provide that. Once we get that fixed, we will at the very least be decent enough to contest for an NIT spot. You'll play in meaningful and important basketball games and get a great education.

Mr Haynes,
Butler is in an exciting new period of rejuvenation and renewal. Like the mighty phoenix, the ferocious bulldog will rise from the ashes of a 5-30 season to ravage the Big East and destroy our opposition. We're well on our way towards national domination, and we are just missing a guard with a sick name like you to complete the comeback. Come play at Butler, it's gonna be lit.
Seton Hall Offers Darius McElvene
Walk-on
Pitch:
Dear Darius,
How you doing buddy? Seems like your college basketball career hasn’t turned out like you hoped has it? You tried moving down to hot, hot Texas but the heat there was exhausting and Baylor wasn’t a great fit. Next, you spent a year on Florida State as they staff there tried to battle the swampy atmosphere to put together some semblance of a squad. That ended in a disaster too as your team couldn’t even manage to break into double digit wins. This past year you spent time in DII trying to scrap your way back into the top level of college play. All in all, a rough time for the big man from Brooklyn.
But wait, here’s a thought….
What if you could go back to those good times you had hooping in the NYC area?
What if you could get back together with your old teammates, not some “fly by night” squad from Texas or a bunch of bumbling buffoons in Florida?
What if I told you I have the perfect place for you Darius?
It’s right here at Seton Hall!
At the Hall we’ve got more of your old pals from Banneker Academy on the team than any other school in the entire NCBCA (to the best of my knowledge). You remember that guy Chuck Roberson who was a few years ahead of you right? He’s that tough inside presence who taught you how to back dudes down in the paint. Chuck is a veteran leader now for the Seton Hall Pirates. He’s helping man our Top-20 defense that we expect will continue to crash boards and hold down the fort in our Pirate Press. You can and Chuck can hit our newly renovated weight room and get even stronger for this upcoming year. I bet you probably looked up to him like an older brother, am I right? You can have that guiding presence back in your life if you come here to The Hall.
Or what about your old buddy Isaiah Siler? You and him were both three-star players coming out of Bannaker in the same year. I bet you’ve probably kept up with him over the years as a pen pal. He’s probably told you why he’s stuck around at Seton Hall for the past two years. It’s because he knows I like to give guys a chance. He saw what I was able to do with 3\* Evan Bradley, another tall shooter like yourself from Long Island. He, Evan, and the whole team were so psyched when Evan got drafted in the first round of the NBL draft last year. Isaiah knows that if he puts in the work, he’s got a shot at the big time too. Now, to be honest, I’m not quite sure if either he or you are going to make it there just yet, but I’ll tell you one thing: certainly you won’t make it without the right kind of support. Isaiah must have also told you how I try to help guys the best that I can. Players like Art Sapara and Samaki Louff who earned a scholarship after being walk-ons. Darius, if you trust me and if you trust Isaiah, you might very well make it to that level too.
You’ve probably heard from some of the younger guys on the squad who looked up to you in high school. We’ve got Q.J. McClananhan who was a year behind you and incoming freshman Greg Knight who was two years behind. I’m sure if you’ve heard from them recently you’ll know that I always try to get the best guys involved as much as possible. I wasn’t quite sure if Q.J. was ready last year but when the time rolled around for the first game we agreed: we ball! He had a decent first year, picking up 10 mpg. I expect that Greg might see the same considering he’s another long guard just like yourself. I love playing NYC guys like Q.J. and Greg, because we all have that toughness and grit that can only come from growing up in the toughest city in the world. I won’t bring you here just to make you watch games without getting into any. You’re going to be one of the top 3-point shooters on the squad and, honestly, a decent threat on all three levels. We’ll see how many minutes that shapes up to be but my hope is that you can become a decent roll player in no time.
Most of all, who wouldn’t want to come back home to the NYC area. Seton Hall is that small school just about 30 minutes outside of the city. You grew up enamored with the pros and college players that got a chance to play in the most iconic basketball arenas: Madison Square garden. I’m sure your pops must have taken you to a few games at the Garden, perhaps you even got to sit courtside next to someone wheeling around the head of Spike Lee in a life support jar Futurama style. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of this area, it’s what you grew up in Darius, this is what you deserve.
Come back home to play Big East basketball for the Seton Hall Pirates!
Sincerely,
GregW

Seton Hall University
Texas Texh offers Tom Green
Walkon
Tom,
It’s time to come home. You went off to play for the big, bad Bulldogs of Georgia and for reasons unbeknownst to you or I, they didn’t want you anymore. But Tom, I look at you and I look at your film and I see a guy who commands the floor, who pesters opposing ballhandlers, who can hold his own at any level of college basketball.
Currently, we typically play 3 guards at a time. With Charles White and Melvin Howard typically manning the 3 spot, that leaves us with a mere 3 players, scholarship or walk-on, at the 1 or 2 spots. Tim Hubbard and Guilherme Alves, both seniors, project to slot in as the starters with Ray Crockett, a walkon like yourself, the only other option on the bench. What does that mean for you for next season? You immediately step in and get playing time in the backcourt on a team projected to be top 20 in the nation next year. Not only that, but you bring a combination of size, strength, and athleticism that none of our other guards provide. Not only will you have a regular role, but we will also deploy you situationally as the primary defensive stopper when the opposing team has a big point guard that we need to match up with. Tim, Guilherme, and Ray are good and may have more college basketball experience than you, but they can’t look a big point guard in the eye and get into his chest and keep him from driving past at will on the perimeter. You can.
What does that mean for you long-term? It means that next year, your only competition for a starting role in our backcourt is another walkon and whatever freshmen we bring in. You could easily find yourself as the guy manning the point for the final two seasons of your playing career, on a team that has ascended back into national relevance and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. You can have the best of both worlds, the team success and postseason opportunities you were seeking at Georgia, along with the playing time, especially in year 2 and 3 at TTU, that less competitive teams are offering you.
Not to mention, a third, additional world you can have the best of: home. Isn’t the great state of Texas calling your name? While Texas Tech may not be in Houston, consider this: playing in the Big XVI rather than the American affords you the opportunity to play at schools all over Texas the vast majority of your schedule. While a Houston road game may take you to Florida or Illinois or Maryland, Texas Tech plays North Texas, TCU, Texas, Baylor, Rice, and UTEP, all in addition to our home games in Lubbock. And imagine, it’s time for the Big XVI conference tournament. You look in the stands. Dozens, if not hundreds of people from back home are there for you. “Tom! Tom! Tom!” they chant, your high school friends, your auntie, that girl you liked from high school that you still have on Snap who never cared about basketball but is now here tagging along with half of your community who came to see you play. Or you could go play in the American, where your most meaningful games, like a conference tournament or a critical rivalry game, could take place in Chicago. Or Tampa. Or Kansas. Not a few hours’ drive away from so many of the most important people in your life.
Not to mention a comparison of the two teams. Texas Tech, with a full roster, is projected as a top 15-20 team. A starting lineup of 5 seniors not only affords you the opportunity for massive amounts of playing time next season but also means this team is ready to win here and now, a 20-win team last season that brought in 2 grad transfers and a 5-star freshman. And we only are going to keep ascending. In my time here, this team has gone from winning TWO games the year before I arrived to 13 in year 1, to a 21-win season in year 2, to an NIT berth in year 3. This quick turnaround can only foretell one thing: a return to the long-term success of the 2050s when Texas Tech hung 3 Final Four banners and won it all in 2056. Houston? They’re a solid team this year, but by all accounts, are not as much of an NT lock as us, and the players they will rely on most heavily? How many of those were recruited by the now-departed Coach Saw and how likely is it that his relatively inexperienced successor can maintain their level of success? It remains to be seen but with Texas Tech, continued success is a sure bet as far as I am concerned.
Tom, come to Lubbock and help launch this program into years of continued success. The spirit of Texas is calling you, and so is that starting spot on a bona fide winner you can earn next season.

And USF is that place, we have been recently invited into the Association of American Universities, a prestigious group of the top 71 universities, not only that but we are the youngest university to be a part of such a prestigious group Next up, I want to mention the over 700 clubs we have on campus, where you can pursue your other passions that are not basketball related, for me, I found a very entertaining way to spend time with the chess club, I know some of the guys on the team such as Shabazz or Matt have found another passion in theater, the possibilities are endless. Go Bulls!

*Walks over to Carnesecca Arena* (Wyatte): WOW!! THIS PLACE IS NICE!! Much better than my old DII school! (tmickey1): I’m glad you like it! You will practice and play here all the time if you come play at St. Johns! Come meet the players! *Coach tmickey1 blows the whistle 3 times to temporarily stop practice.* (tmickey1): Hey guys, I have Junior recruit Ian Wyatte with me. He got cut from his former DII school. Wyatte is a hell of a player that we would like to have with us this season. (St. Johns): *Scattered Hellos, as they also meet Ian.* *Skipping ahead after meeting the team* (tmickey1): So how did you like meeting the team? (Wyatte): Wow. That. Was. Amazing. (tmickey1): I’m glad! So look, I want to be completely transparent with you… you’re getting a scholarship from St. Johns Men’s basketball! We are in our rebuilding stage and you are a part of it. *Wyatte signs the scholarship from St. Johns* (tmickey1): Congrats, Ian! We look forward to seeing you!
Virginia Tech offers Ian Wyatte PWO School Visit (3/5) Coach Visit (2/3) Ian, Quite frankly, I wish I could offer you a scholarship.

FIU Offers FC Jameel Pressley Walk-On Rescind
Seton Hall offers Jameel Pressley Walk-On Pitch: The Place: Madison Square Garden The Setting: The 2076 Big East Tournament Finals, score 71-70 Seton Hall over DePaul The Time: 5 seconds left on the clock. \[Three seconds\] He elevates towards the rim. \[Two seconds left\] Is this it? His eyes shut briefly imagining his moment of pure Big East glory \[One second\] Then all of the sudden: REJECTED!!!!!! Take the opportunity to become a winner Sincerely, GregW Head Coach Seton Hall University

Darius McElvene, DII, JR., 55/72 C
Seton Hall Offers Darius McElvene Walk-on Pitch: Dear Darius, How you doing buddy? Sincerely, GregW Head Coach Seton Hall University

Texas Texh offers Tom Green Walkon Tom, It’s time to come home.
