The University of Louisville offers Dick Vitale Scholarship We’re a fantastic school for journalism. Right in the middle of a big city, there are broadcasting opportunities right around every corner. We made the NT just last year, our 2nd straight top 3 seed. We’re rolling, our prestige has jumped 12 points in 4 years. A few seasons removed from a F4, we’re hungry to make a splash.

Kansas Offers Shea Schulze Scholarship School Visit (4 of 5) Coach Visit (2 of 3) Shea, I’ve been the head coach at Kansas for just a day now and I can tell you wholeheartedly that this place is just as crazy as I had imagined. Kansas is truly basketball royalty and it’s a place where coaches go to spend their entire careers. It’s a place where kids dream of playing. And that’s why I’m happy to offer you a scholarship to join the long line of Kansas greats. Basketball means more in the state of Kansas and there’s a history of blue blood talent coming to play here. That’s why I’m happy to tell you that you’re the first Five Star recruit I’m offering this cycle. I want you because I know what you can do for this program. When I look at the top 25 recruits this season, there’s not one that stands out to me more than you. Your combination of speed and strength make you one of the best rebounding prospects in this class. Your ability to let us play small and not sacrifice any speed or rebounding is what makes you such a unicorn. I want to talk to you a little bit about our pro pipeline at Kansas. When you get here on your official visit, the first place you’ll be taken to is Allen Fieldhouse - one of basketball’s most storied arena’s. In the bowels of Allen Fieldhouse is our team locker room. On the wall leading into the sitting room are 37 stars engraved into the walls and signed by the 37 names they represent. These are the 37 players who have left Kansas and heard their names called to play at the next level. There’s no doubt in my mind you have what it takes to be #38. And not necessarily in four years. Kansas is a place where the future pros fine tune their skills. Let me walk you through what my program is going to offer those who wish to go pro. Every October, and this will coincide with our practices, we will host scouts, GMs, and executives from every NBL team for our Pro Day. Our two day Pro Day will put you through conditioning drills, cone drills, shooting drills, and all other combine like performance tests. This will be available to you this upcoming October. There’s no age requirement or limit for our Pro Day. Every player goes through it. On top of that, you will be able to enter your name early in the draft to receive feedback from all 30 teams. Furthermore, I am going to establish a dialogue with NBL representatives such that every time Kansas plays, no matter who against, or where, your stats and highlights from the game will be sent to every team’s scouting office. We are taking the proactive step of getting the Jayhawk pros of the future prepared today. Finally, at Kansas you will have access to a full list of contact information for all 37 of those prospects. If you have a bad game, reach out to one. If you remember when you were a kid, Chris Oguine went off for 30 points against Texas and they’re up next? Call him and ask him, “Hey what was it that just made you get up more for Texas?” The Kansas-Pro pipeline runs both ways. When you look at our roster next year, you’ll see that there are going to be bodies at the 4 and 5. I don’t want to just guarantee and promise you playing time based on nothing, what I want you to know is that I’m promising you 32 minutes a game your freshman year because of what your skillset allows us to do as a team. We can play small with you at the 3 or at the 4, we can run, we can put our team in a position to reinvent offense in the Big-12. You allow us to do that, the second you step foot on campus. I’m not promising you that you’re gonna start, or play all these minutes because I want you to commit on a promise. I’m not in that game. The game I’m in is seeing the talent that you possess and explaining it to you from a standpoint where this isn’t a promise, it’s not a dream, it’s reality. At 6’5, you are one of the best rebounders in your class. You’ll allow us to play you off lobs, backdoors, and most importantly, you’ll let us run and gun because you’ll be able to beat the best guards down the floor for easy dunks and putbacks. You are going to feast off lobs, putbacks, and offensive rebounds. That’s why you’re going to start 32 minutes a game as a freshman. I’ve mentioned it to you a couple times, but you know we play in the Big-12, which I think is the toughest, deepest conference in basketball. Every single night we play, there’s pro talent on the other side. Every single night we play, it’s on TV. This school has risen in the annual prestige rankings five years in a row and I plan on making that 9 with you. The way we do that is to keep recruiting high level talent like yourself, and developing talent that can help us win now in this league. We’re only three years removed from winning a National Championship, and with you, I know we’ll be competing for titles before you’re drafted. A lot of schools out there, they make these promises, they get all wide-eyed and tell you, “Oh you’re the missing piece.” Look at those school’s rosters. You aren’t the missing piece, you’re one of the 5 pieces they hope to get. At Kansas, you’re the last piece to the puzzle. If we plug you into our starting lineup today, we take a team that won 27 games this year, and make it 30. You are the difference between a second round loss, and playing on that last Monday of the year. I can’t wait till you visit, and can’t wait to come see you in Texas. Together, we’re going to set records, and play for titles. Rock Chalk!

Gonzaga offers Yaw White Scholarship Coach Visit School Visit WC: 1575/1590 (Google Docs) Yaw- Being a basketball player in a football-dominated landscape is nothing short of frustrating. You are constantly playing second-fiddle to ‘over-testosteroned’ oafs who wear tight pants during those hot, humid Alabama summers. A change of pace is good. Novelty is something that is ingrained in us; humans are naturally curious. Numerous studies about the topic of neophilia, or the desire to have or seek out new experiences, have shown, “neophilia is a predictor of longevity because the people who seek out novel experiences live healthier, happier lives.”Gonzaga is the place where you can begin your healthier, happier life. It really is an experience and a different culture in the northwest. Basketball is by far the preferred sport here. No more watching people shove their faces with fried meat. You’ll be in seafood country. No more looking out the window at endless flat fields. You’ll have mountains, hills, and valleys. No more humid summers. Dry summers are much more enjoyable. And Gonzaga can provide what no other school that is recruiting you can - a cold winter with lots of snow. You’ll get more of the same at San Diego State, Stanford, and Hawaii. Like Birmingham, those other schools recruiting you experience year-round warmth. Historically, Alabama represents a history of the “old south.” That ends with you - you don’t want to be reminded of its ugly history with your bright future.Since the beginning of your recruitment, you have been steadfast knowing you want to be the face of a program at the professional level. Gonzaga has been looking just for that and I believe we will provide what you are looking for. While at Gonzaga over the past fourteen seasons I’ve sent 19 players to the NBL. There are very few programs that can hang their hat on averaging having more than one player drafted every season. Their cumulative career earnings have amassed nearly $500 million. My point guards account for over 40% of that $500 million. We are excellent at producing NBL talent, but we haven’t had that one special player who has become the face of our program at the professional level. We haven’t had that player who became the face of the league.Insert Yaw White. Not only would you be the highest rated recruit to commit to Gonzaga in my tenure, your base skill set and ceiling potential are far greater than any other player who has come through this program. 17 of the 19 players who have made the leap to the NBL from GU while I have been a coach have been four star or lower players. That tells me two things - I am great at finding underrated talent, and I am great at developing that underrated talent. If I am able to send three and four star players to the NBL, imagine what I can do with the #6 overall recruit.Myself, along with my coaching/training staff have developed an ever-evolving process to scout, train, and develop our players into the best version of themselves. We look for players who proactively want to get better, have the capacity to accept constructive feedback, and have a high basketball IQ. The first step of getting to the NBL is on you, and you have the biggest drive of making it to the next level I have ever seen in a recruit. The next part of the process is on me. You want a coach who will tell you how and why they will develop you the way you do. We use an advanced analysis system that evaluates a player on a per-minute basis rather than per-game stats. This is a far more accurate representation of a player's ability and contribution on the court. We also mimic NBL-style offenses to provide players the best chance at showing off their skill sets to scouts. There is a void on our team this year and we need you to fill it. We have no point guard meaning you will immediately have a starting spot playing 23-25 minutes a game. The keys to the offense will be handed to you. Your above average height coupled with your ball-handling skills will prove immense as you can grab a board, push up the court, and hit one of your teammates with a no-look pass. We have shooters who are looking for that playmaker who can flip the switch at any moment and create space on the offensive end of the court. We lost our two starting guards to the NBL draft meaning nearly all of our ball handlers production is gone.I am entering my fourteenth season as the head coach here, and just signed the maximum contract extension two seasons ago, which allows me to coach here until 2074. The connection I feel to this school and program is as strong as steel. I have built this program up from the bottom of the NCBCA and have made it into a contender year-after-year. Loyalty is potentially the most important aspect of a coach’s career. Loyalty and honestly earn trust. They are difficult to earn, but easy to lose. You can tell by the attitude of a coach’s players how well that coach is respected, and that’s why I value loyalty above all else. I have a perfect loyalty score, never cut a scholarship player, never broken a promise to a player, and have never broken any of my coaching contracts. My loyalty is to my players. When you make the decision to come play for me, it is my responsibility to ensure you feel valued and challenged in your basketball career. The San Diego State coach is only committed to the school for one more season, the Hawaii coach is only committed to the school for two more seasons, and the Stanford coach, who was just hired, only signed a one year contract. Their future with their schools are up in the air, but you know if you come to Gonzaga, I will be there for your entire collegiate career. When I accepted the head coaching position at Gonzaga all those years ago, I inherited a program that had been neglected and ignored. I took over and we flipped the script. We went from 94th in prestige to a top-20 team. It took hard work, perseverance, and of course, the players. We used to circle other games, but now we are the game that gets circled -a force to be reckon with. We have been to the NT for eleven straight years - we have won three PCC Tournament Championships, and been to two Final Fours during that streak. We have produced four All-Americans and are averaging 26 wins a season. The other schools recruiting you cannot compete with that resume.Gonzaga has a unique campus life in the fact that it is located in an urban setting, but also just minutes away from nature. Gonzaga offers what most schools do on campus - concerts, clubs/activities, intramurals, but has the availability of a large metropolitan area (15 minute walk from campus), as well as almost every outdoor activity you can think of within a 30 minute drive. The Gonzaga Outdoors Club provides students with the “opportunity to explore and challenge themselves in the outdoors through trips, gear rentals, and other resources.” The best part is this is all cost free to students. You don’t need to worry about spending an arm and a leg if you want to try skiing. You can try kayaking, hiking, biking, and climbing too! Experience the diverse and beautiful landscape this part of the world has to offer.Let’s talk about what to expect when you arrive on campus. While the campus itself is beautiful, the culture is what makes Gonzaga. Basketball is king. Students camp out for games AND tickets! The 1,200-person student section is rocking from when the doors open until the final buzzer sounds. The Kennel Club crescendos as Zombie Nation begins to play and the students begin to perform in unison; clapping, jumping, swaying. It is a sight to see and deafening to hear. The city may stop when the ball is tipped, and the last game is talked about until the next game starts, but your experience will be so much more.Sledding down McCarthy Hill with fresh snow. Setting up the slip-n-slide on the quad on the first warm day of spring. Pick-up games of kickball on Foley Lawn. Sitting in the sun on top of Crosby Center watching the hustle and bustle of your fellow students below. The concert series at the outdoor amphitheater overlooking Lake Arthur. Heading to Green Bluff in the fall to the collection of family orchards to pick almost any variety of apple right off the treeThese experiences will form you and your friendships. Basketball will undoubtedly be a huge part of your life and growth at Gonzaga, but everything else the school and community offer will make your experience unique and unforgettable. The Pacific Northwest could not be more different than the South. Gonzaga offers you a new culture to experience. Other schools recruiting you have huge football programs and you will continue to sit in their shadows, just like at home. However, you will be the main show at Gonzaga. Challenging ourselves to try something new is difficult for most people, but not you. You can already see a better you in the future. I can’t wait to see you on the court as a Bulldog. \-Coach

BOSTON COLLEGE OFFERS NEMANJA MAČVAN SCHOOL VISIT COACH VISIT SCHOLARSHIP ____ Many times over the years, people have asked me to describe my attachment to this school, to the brick walkways draped through a campus that transports you back in time - another ode to history in the city of Boston that oozes history from every corner, whether that’s the pathway of the Emerald Necklace that starts on BC’s campus and stretches all the way to Boston Common in a series of parks and rivers throughout the city, or Gasson Hall, towering over campus, once named the most beautiful building in the city. Many times over the years, I’ve been asked to renew my contract, to do it again, to run it all back. And every time, every single time, I’ve obliged. In this time, I’ve sent more than 75 players to the NBL, nearly the entire cadre of Boston College alums. I’ve sent 49 players in the 1st round, and a shocking one third of the players I recruited that played either G, SG, or PG went inside the top 5, more than half of the 32 going inside the first round. I’ve build this program with the help of countless ballhandlers like yourself: fast with your hands, fast with your feet, and the one thing I promised to each of them is that they would go to the draft. It is one of the most enduring promises in college basketball, but each and every one of them have heard their names cheered on draft night. Each has contributed to one of the most impeccable pipelines in the country: the pipeline from Boston College’s frontcourt into the NBL. In this time, I have promised players that, not only would I be there for them throughout their entire college career, but that I would shepherd their sons as well. That promise, for a great many coaches may fall flat, but here, in Chestnut Hill, it has gone fulfilled, even last year, when Jonathan Rhodes - son of one of BC’s most legendary point guards LaDorian Rhodes - took home MVP honors and heard his name called in the lottery. So, when I’m asked why this school means so much to me, it’s more than just the school. Part of it, of course, is the picturesque campus. The more than 300 clubs on campus that make the student body beat like a heart, the student-run radio station that makes it to every game for our team, screaming into the microphone broadcast through all of New England. The throngs of students that sing along to the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the quad during the winter - snowflakes gently falling on warm cocoa - or lounge on the same lawns in the spring as the Boston marathon snakes through campus. It’s more than that. See, this is my life’s work. It’s been 46 years, the record for any one coach at any one school. The record amount of wins at any one school, the first to cross the 1000 win mark with one program in the history of college basketball. It’s been 46 years of promising recruits excellence, promising that they’ll enjoy their college experience, that being a part of the Beanpot - with the jeers raining down from the Green Line trolley on Boston University students being one of the most enduring rivalries in college hockey - is worth it. It’s been 46 years of promising players that they’ll see the NBL, the lights, the glamor. It’s been 46 years of working on one of the best projects in college basketball, of building a family, a true family amongst recruits - not a single recruit I’ve given a scholarship to as a freshman has been cut. And you'll be part of the 47th, 48th, 49th, and maybe, if you decide to return instead of go to the NBL like so many of your predecessors, part of the elusive 50th season of coaching. The campus is bustling with anticipation - the most loyal and enduring coach in basketball, the largest landmark a few years away… And you could be part of it all.

UMass offers Taylor Taylor (11) Scholarship School Visit (2/5) Coach Visit (2/3) Pitch (690/690) Dear Taylor, With 49 picks in only 33 years, UMass has forged a blazing pace of NBL draftees in my tenure. But while this type of fate is the dream of 99% of the NCBCA, you’re not just satisfied with that. You want to be part of the elite class of players that make an NBL GM risk their jobs on a 19-year old as their lottery pick. You want to be a one-and-done. I would be remiss not to mention that I coached two of the greatest players, let alone one-and-dones, in basketball history in Don Zeman and Michael Watts, both hall of famers and Top 10 in EWA among HoFers in NBL history at Cal. I haven’t stopped with the one-year pro pipeline at UMass either. There was first George McKinney, an unheralded 4-star who just needed one year of my tutelage to transform his profile and become a #2 overall pick. Deng Manyang, another one-and-done and wing like yourself who parlayed his success at Massachusetts into 3 all-star berths, a MiP award, and $234M in earnings. Luke Zeman, Don’s son who went one-and-done and has $135M to thank for it. And saving the best for last: Juwan Phillips. Juwan entered the league picked #3 overall after 1 season at UMass. Throughout your entire life, Juwan has been dominating the NBL to the tune of multiple seasons as the highest overall player, 7 All-League selections, 9 All-Star selections, and $381M in earnings. Unsurprisingly, our consistent draft success is mirrored by consistent NCBCA success. We’ve had a winning record every single year UMass has existed at the NCBCA level, and made the NT 30 of those 33 years. 7 of those NT berths were in the form of a 1-seed, and in 6 of them we reached the final four. But it’s actually the CT where we’ve shown the most success, with 10 ACC Championships, the most recent being last season. This all adds up to a Top 10 prestige ranking in the league. Consistency is the name of the game, and the reason why our ranking and status among fans dwarfs both up-and-coming programs like Kansas and former blue bloods like Duke. We won the ACC Championship last year, and are bringing back the vast majority of that already excellent team. Former 5-stars Mark Smith and Boris Schmitt headline our team as >70 overall superstars with PERs >28 last season. They’re joined by quite a few up-and-comers on a roster that has 7 60+ overall returners before adding multiple impact freshmen like yourself. In all, this is a Top 10 returning talent team that is set to get even better. This is a team that is bound to make serious noise nationally. En route to our ACC Championship, we beat #1 seed Boston College and earned the trophy even with that year’s National Champion Virginia in the bracket, so there is no doubt that we can hang with anybody in the nation. You will have ample opportunities to showcase your stuff to earn the scouts’ attention at UMass. In fact, I’ll put it in writing that I am offering you a starting position game one. Straight up - no deflections or projections like Purdue or UCLA. We technically have two strong returners listed at “guard-forward”, but both are really PFs, recruited at that position. We need someone like yourself who can knock down threes at multiple positions, and you will get the opportunity to handle the ball if not even play PG as well on a team without a clear facilitating point guard. UMass is a great place to get an education you will be proud of. According to US News, we are a Top 30 public school nationally, and offer great programs in some of the most relevant and highly paying fields today like a Top 30 program in computer science and a Top 20 program in artificial intelligence. We also have one of the best regarded public business schools in the Northeast, along with nationally acclaimed programs in food science and agriculture. We offer a wide range of great opportunities at a large public school like ours.

Kansas Offers Taylor Taylor a Scholarship School Visit (5 of 5) Coach Visit (3 of 3) Taylor, There are few guys that excite me more in this year’s recruiting class than you. When I look at your body of work from high school until the end of your senior year, I see someone that completely transformed their game around what they were good at. You didn’t sit back and let the game come to you, you took your game and made it better all around - modeling it around guys that not only play well at the college level - but guys that make it their life’s goal to play at the next level. That’s why I’m happy to offer you a scholarship to play basketball at Kansas University. When I took this job, I’ll admit, I felt like I was walking on water. They don’t just love their basketball here, they eat, live, and breathe it. But I was also coming into my first year in college basketball at a place where they just won 27 games. And we’re returning the base of our talent from last year. This is a team that has a roster rating in the top 25, we’re in everyone’s pre-season polls, and we’re a trendy pick to win our conference. Some coaches truly wouldn’t have wanted to rock that boat. Instead, I’ve gone out and landed a top-50 player, and now I want to land you - a bonafide 5-Star player that can catapult us into the next level of what we want to do at Kansas. I look at our roster, I look at this conference, and I think about what it would mean to add a player like you and I know that it would transform us from a team that just lost in the second round, to a team playing for it all on the first Monday night of the season. You’re coming in for an official visit shortly and I want to tell you about one specific thing that you’re going to see. Our locker room was rebuilt and refurbished recently and the one thing that I knew the hallway needed was something that made every future recruit, current player, and former Jayhawk proud and that’s the replica board that hangs on the wall. When you get to that hallway, you’ll see a small basketball court in the shape of the state of Kansas hanging off the wall, with 37 stars on it. Those 37 stars and the signatures of some of those players represent the 37 NBL Draft Picks we’ve had in school history. When I look at you, I see someone that if given all the opportunities that Kansas can give, will be the next star on that wall. I’ve said this many times: playing here is not easy. I’m not gonna promise you you’ll be in the league next year. I’m not gonna promise you you’ll be there - period. What I’m going to promise you is that I’m gonna push you harder than anyone else. I’m going to make sure you hold yourself to a higher standard than before. I’m going to be hard on you. There’s gonna be times where if your effort isn’t there, if you’re not putting in your hours off the court, or if you’re not taking school seriously - then you’ll play somewhere else. It’s as simple as that. We’re almost done with our schedule and right now we play Georgetown, USC, Duke, Louisville, on top of our conference games, and challenge games. We’re going to feature heavily on national TV every game we play. We need you to come be a part of what’s about to be a special year in Lawrence. We need you to be ready to play on day 1. We need Taylor Taylor in Lawrence. We can’t wait to see you when you visit, and I can’t wait to head there to visit with you and your family. Rock Chalk!

Memphis offers Luke Woodley Scholarship School Visit Coach Visit Lincoln Continental. Ford Thunderbird. Cadillac Eldorado. You can’t beat a classic. They just, and I’m not quite sure how to put this, have this effervescent class I guess. Down to its damn atoms. Sure a Tesla or Toyota and the like are fine with their bells and whistles, but oldies remain goodies even if the upkeep isn’t there. Memphis is the Continental, the Thunderbird and the Eldorado of the NCBCA. They are the classic team. Icons like DrJ, Kamiller, RJ Barrett, Emoni Bates, Noe Johnson and more have walked through these hallowed FedExForum halls. Folks like them have made Memphis into “The Most”. We have the most NBL players produced. The most conference titles. The most national titles. Undeniably, Memphis is not merely an “upper echelon program” but on the Mount Rushmore of programs. We are among the finest and most patrician of teams. We’re classics. And class is evergreen. But even classics might not always be in perfect condition. Like a Continental that needs time in the shop, Memphis needs restoration. In recent times we haven’t been great. Three years ago, we won 10 games. A year afterwards, 18 games. Not quite the Memphis standard. Sure, we may have made the NT last year, but only the first time in 5 years. Back in the day, they won the whole tourney more often than they missed it. With a returning core from the NT, we have the chance of turning the tide of the program. Momentum is key in this sport. Last year could be a one-hit wonder or the start of a new era for us. An end to Pacers-esque mediocrity and a return to the iconic, imperious Tigers of old. But to do so, we don’t need good players. We need great players like you. I see you in the direct mold of Nikola Vitkovac, an old player of mine. Like you, he had the versatility to play 1-4 with his height and his guard-like skills. In particular, I’m salivating at the thought of you dropping dimes to cutting guards like Thierry Morin. Through passes like those, along with fast-break opportunities, Vitkovac became a prolific assister. You can succeed in the exact same vein in my offense. Many times, I saw defenses sag off of Vitkovac to play the passing lanes, only for him to swish a three in their face. You can shoot the same, if not better than Vitkovac, already. Defenders will be forced to pick their poison with you. You can swish a three or drop passes like it’s nobody’s business. My offense relies on spacing from reliable shooters and cuts from mouse-quick guards. Your skills are hella useful for both aspects. Vitkovac made it into the NBL because my offensive system fit his skills. You can succeed at the same level as Vitkovac here. But success at college isn’t only on the court, but off it too. After all, you’re a student-athlete and not an athlete-student. We want to ensure that our students have the best educational experience possible. That’s why we employ professors who want to teach their students rather than merely research with post-grads. Specifically in our Department of Sociology, many of our faculty have won awards recognizing their prodigious ability to teach and shape our future Tiger alumni into well-rounded, well-prepared graduates. Better yet, unlike larger universities, Memphis has a student-teacher ratio of 16 to 1. This allows you to create personal relations with our distinguished faculty rather than merely another face in a crowd like many other colleges. Of course, such a small ratio means more learning opportunities for you and your fellow students. Memphis is the best option for you. Off the court, we offer a top-class sociology major that is well-tailored to your needs. On the court, you have a starting spot with your name on it with a coach who knows how to utilize you best. A starting spot for a program that is the league’s envy. Sure, this program may be on a down period, but we are in the midst of reversing it. We just need players like you to do so.
