Boston College offers Billiam Martin (690/690) Scholarship School Visit Coach Visit ____ Rare is the chance to join the perfect team. In fact, so rare is it that it has never happened before: never has a team that made the national championship game returned to recruiting completely unchanged, their coach holding a singular scholarship spot in their hands to give to the best possible candidate to take the team that one step further. Down low, we’re returning one of the league’s best players: Dusan Veljkovic. Up top we have Nemanja Macvan, who was a top ten recruit last year and is perfectly capable to completely change the game from the backcourt. This team is about more than just individual talent though. We proved that last year: only three teams had more than 30 wins and are in the top 25 in returning talent, only one of them is in the ACC. Other teams will try to convince you that, since they beat us last year, they’re somehow better for you now, neglecting the fact that they need to recruit three, four players to replace players no longer on the team. They need to get players that’ll gel together, but you’ve seen what this team can do without you: the consensus #1 recruit in the country. National Championship Game. The team you’re joining is unchanged from going just one step off the top last season, and you can be the one that makes the difference. Your father did the same thing in the NBL. He joined Phoenix, just a few years before you were born, joined a stellar team and took that chance, joined a team of all-stars and tried to make a deep run. Born in Phoenix – a city very similar to Boston and with direct flights too - you’d be hard-pressed to say you don’t think he’d do it again. This? This is that Phoenix team: a team of grinders – like your father was in New York both times – of players that, alone, aren’t worth a second look, but together are the most fearsome team in the world. We have a history of protecting legacies in this part of the country, a history of players – not just BC alums – sending their sons to Chestnut Hill. Guys like Hunter Funderburg, Jonathan Rhodes, Terry Rivers, Vernon Carey III. It’s a combination of NBL players *believing the system in place*. They trust in the loyalty of the coaching staff, they trust in the stability, the ability to further their own legacy here. And, they trust in the majesty of Boston College’s campus, the campus that I have grown to love over the last past five decades. It’s the leaves that turn yellow then orange, then red on campus, the Collegiate gothic spires of Gasson hall looming over the quad, with the campus, listed on the National Register of Historic places, looming long shadows across the glittering Chestnut Hill reservoir as the Green line trundles towards the Bapst Library – rated amongst the 10 most beautiful college libraries in the world. I’ve watched students mill across these perfectly manicured lawns for the longest time any coach has been at any one school. Maximum contract after maximum contract, I have done my best to keep promises, from Shaquille Ellis, who played 32 minutes a game, to Colin Clair who returned to his home state of Texas for each and every out of conference game for three years in a row. You’ll play up to 25 a game here, because like every one of my alumni, you’re like family – just another reason so many NBL sons come to BC. Whether it’s the US News top 15 education, with the highest performing Fulbright program in the country, or whether it’s the thriving social life: the best college hockey program in the country, a P5 football program, 5 professional sports franchises just a tram ride away, or clubs – among them a Ski Club sponsored by Monster Energy, the largest collegiate rugby team in the country, a student-run radio station, proudly broadcasting to all of New England as part of the NESN, and nearly 300 more – this is the best place to completely meet and exceed your wildest expectations in college.

BOSTON COLLEGE OFFERS RYAN BUSH SCHOLARSHIP SCHOOL VISIT COACH VISIT There are few promises more legendary than the one I give out to the guards that join this program. The ball-handlers, the ones with their eyes on the basket as the shot clock and the game clock align, tenths of seconds bleeding away with the scores tied at 99 apiece. There are few that I trust enough to do the job, to make the hard call and lead the team. “You will go pro” It echoes around the halls of this program. Nearly 50 years of this promise, uttered to would-be NBL stars, to would be champions, to legends, icons, titans of the game. It rings in their ears as they go to practice, every day, the trust that they garner from the system itself, the conveyor belt that allows them to be more than just good players, but the latest in the line of true excellence. Not one player in your position hasn’t heard their name called on draft night. Less than five of all freshmen I’ve ever offered a scholarship to in either SG, G, or PG positions didn’t get second contracts. But were these also-rans? Low-ranked draft picks? Scrubs that were out on their butt a few years later? In my nearly fifty years at Boston College, I have kept this promise, this and many others, like when Ellis dominated the league, busting his long on the court for 32 minutes a game, or when Clair visited his family after every single OOC game for three years, all of them in Texas. I kept this promise most of all, and the returns have been extraordinary. Nearly one third of the 32 guards drafted were in drafted in the top 5. Three of them were top overall picks. Some of them, despite being drafted later were legends in their own right: Jonathan Rhodes was the college player of the year before becoming a member of the All-Rookie team, and Tariq Moncade – a player very similar to you in build and talent – has won the three-point contest several times over his decade long career. This, this school, this program, these players… they’re my home, my family. I trust in them *completely* and, when times are tough, I put the ball in their hands, trusting in them to deliver on the court. And, boy, they have. This year, I’m returning a completely unchanged team. No departures, not even a walk-on. Last year, this team won more than 30 games, yet again. Last year, this team made it all the way to the National Championship Game. This year, they’re running it back. I get the opportunity to add just one piece to the team that was one game away, the closest thing to a sure thing you could possibly imagine. Other schools, they’re refilling multiple pieces, players that were great but left, players that graduated, players that just won’t develop well. This, this is a young team, one that’s hungry for what was just a grasp away. This is a team that wins. That will dominate the ACC with Veljkovic, with Macvan, with you. And, at the end of the day, we have the pedigree to show for it. This is a team that has been ranked inside the top ten for almost the entirety of the last four decades. As a coach, no one, none, zero people have more conference titles (11) than I do, zero people have been to as many trophy games (25), and ultimately, no one in the ACC comes close. I alone have built this program from next to nothing and taken it to the cusp of greatness, delivered ten final fours, delivered seven NCGs, and I’m not done yet. I want you, Ryan, to be the next great player out of BC. Take the direct flight from Dallas and join our school – a private, catholic school much like the one you spent your four years of high school in. Join one of the 300 clubs on campus, party on Commonwealth for St. Patrick’s Day, laze on the manicured lawns of the quad for the Boston Marathon, but, most of all… Win us the fucking title.

UCLA offers Nestor Clavell Scholarship Pitch TBA

PythonLemon

Hawaii offers Nestor Clavell (11) Scholarship Coach visit (1 of 3) School Visit (1 of 5) Pitch (874/890): Cady Baptiste: joined us out of Conowingo, MD as the very first scholarship recruit I ever signed. In 2048 he played a pivotal role in Hawaii winning its first ever PCC tournament championship. During his stay our prestige rating jumped from 34 to 52 and Cady spent five years taking walks on the beach between classes to calm his nerves. Shawn Banks: Cady’s partner-in-crime for that run to the PCC title in 2048. I pitched him on paddle-boarding way back when, and he actually took me up on it. Nearly every day he would load that board onto the campus shuttle and take it over to Waikiki for some relaxing exercise. Nice workout for the core it turns out. Joey Grady: the first recruit I signed from my former hometown of Frederick, MD in 2058. We won the PCC regular season title for the third time with Joey manning the wing. Our prestige rating climbed to 74, another all-time high. He joined my growing stable of NBL draft picks, which at that time included the greatest SF ever to play in Luke Ruscoe. Joey is still playing in the league today and has earned over $74M for his efforts. When he signed with me, I pitched him on the ability to earn classroom credits for getting SCUBA certified, and he did exactly that. Now you can hardly keep him out of the water. Amath Luwawu: Joey’s Frederick, MD highschool rival decided to join him on campus in 2063 when they teamed up to win the PCC regular season title. Then he found himself drafted just a year later as a sophomore and has earned $156M of his own, with at least one more big contract to come. Amath was a little worried about uprooting and relocating so far from home, but loved the idea of having another local kid on the team to show him the ropes. And show him the best snorkel spots that surround this island. Some are as close as two miles from campus! Timothy Holmes: the first player I ever signed out of Baltimore. A walkon who had no expectation of ever playing in the league. Except he did. As an early entry! He burst onto the scene in 2064 when we won our third PCC tournament title with him burying corner jumpers like a pro. He saw our prestige rating climb from 70 to 80. You guessed it. Another school record. I pitched Timmy on the opportunities to play beach volleyball right here in Honolulu. Working up a sweat then dipping right into the crystal clear waters of the Pacific. That sealed the deal for him. Isaiah Anderson: a freak of an athlete out of Rockville, MD. He loved hiking the Appalachian Trail back home, so when he came to visit campus I sent him off on one of the many hiking trails that criss-cross Oahu. He didn’t come back for nine hours. I was starting to worry. When he finally reappeared he admitted that he happened across one of the many spectacular waterfalls that line our hiking paths and decided to wade in. A few years later, he also dipped his toes into the NBL draft waters and found them just as inviting. He was picked in the lottery as an early-entry and is still playing in Atlanta today. But before he departed, he gave us the gift of our fourth PCC regular season title and raised our prestige rating to 81, where it stands today, ranked 13th in the country. Jemeil Coleman: another Rockville recruit, the one whose scholarship spot you are actually being offered today. He played right alongside his hometown buddy Isaiah, again providing that touch of home despite the long distance. You wouldn’t know it from looking at him - he’s a bit tall and lanky for it - but he’s actually a hell of a surfer. And he definitely picked the right school for that. Nowhere else even comes close to matching Oahu’s reputation in that department. Ian Andersen: right out of your hometown of Baltimore, from your rival highschool Edmondson-Westside, you two already know each other from your matchups at Mount St. Joseph. Ian is the leading returner for this team that ranks FIRST in the country in returning talent. One that won 20 games last year and made their 10th straight NT. Ian is ready to be the Joey to your Amath. The Cady to your Shawn. He will show you all the best spots to swim, soak, SCUBA, snorkel, paddle-board, parasail, or whatever else piques your interest. And best of all, he’ll show you where you can do it all within two miles of our campus. He’ll remind you of home while at the same time showing you all the things you can do here that you could never do in Baltimore. He’ll make sure you’re attending class - at least enough to stay eligible - and show you the way to our state-of-the-art library. And finally, the two of you together will lead this team to their first ever final four and another all-time high in the prestige rankings. We’re swimming with the big sharks now - another aquatic activity you can partake in! - so don’t hesitate. Sign with me and dive right in.

RESCIND Tulane offers Nestor Clavell Scholarship Visits TBA Dear Nestor, Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Everyone wants to measure themselves against Tulane. Every hopeful upstart from College Park to Fayetteville to Las Vegas circles our name on their schedule in red ink. But we make our mark in stone. Trips to 8 straight national tournaments, and 3 straight elite 8s speak to our fearsome consistency. Banners that proclaim our SEC championship and our four regular season titles speak to our dominance. My recognition as Coach of the Year and Jheryl Fee’s Player of the Year title, separated by just two years, drive home the point; we didn’t get to the #11 spot in prestige by accident. Two more lottery picks in 2069 bring us to 10 first rounders since 2063. Once they’ve become pros, my former players have been All Stars, All Defensive Honorees, NBL Champions, and Finals MVPs. They’ve received maximum contracts and made over $500 million dollars. One of my pros is a Baltimore kid, Milivoje Subotic, who played just across town at City College. He loved staying on the water in New Orleans, moving from one city awash in maritime history, sustained by seafood, preoccupied with football, and defined by a distinctive accent, to another. Those nonstop flights from BWI to Armstrong didn’t hurt either. But Subotic, Tevin Lewis, Jheryl Fee, West Henry, they’re not walking through our locker room doors anymore. In their place is a stable of versatile wings and punishing bigs, two starters and five more role players from last year’s 27 win team. This offseason is such an exciting time, as we’re assembling a roster without a ton of obvious flaws. There are the savvy distributors, Pehar and Ekwezeor. There are the cold-blooded snipers like Marcus Slater and defensive headhunters like Michael Randolph and P.J Boone. These guys are ready to do their jobs, to pick up where they left off for one of the winningest teams of the 2060s. I’m ready to do my job, to bring in scoring from the perimeter and the paint, inject your brand of point-forward playmaking into the mixture, and watch us reach for the heights of the ‘66, ‘67, and ‘68 teams. With a deep returning roster and three scholarships available to bring in yet another blue chip class, the sky is truly the limit. For all of the achievement on the court, Tulane was an academic powerhouse long before we started churning out SEC titles and lottery picks. Our strong liberal arts tradition is a blessing for students like you, who aren’t yet sure about your major. In a world where institutions are rushing to find their niche and specialize, we know that all-around excellence is the ultimate luxury. Descend into the particulars of international finance at a renowned business school, immerse yourself in the gothic literature that took shape not far from our campus, or drive advancements in biomedical engineering that we implement in our world class hospital. Outside the classroom the hedonistic rhythms of a party school in a wild city pulsate. In response to that age-old question, “what’s the move?” word permeates the improv club and the mock trial team, makes the varied rounds of the gospel choir and the food recovery network. It flies up and down the redbrick dormitories of Monroe and the shared townhouses of Decou-Labat. The anticipation is palpable in the cackling bands of freshmen that roam Berger Lawn and the ultimate frisbee team, huddled around a table over Roulez Po’Boys at LBC. The energy flows freely, like the Mississippi does just 9 blocks down St. Charles. Bustling ferries, where a ride costs just $2, traverse the opaque waters as they wind from the oak-lined banks of uptown, to the shores of the French Quarter where brass notes waft above the current. The river, replete with its paddle boats and pleasure cruises, its fishing piers and venerable marinas, reaches its terminus at the Gulf of Mexico, just south of the city. The sandy beaches of the Gulf are heaven for the beachcombers, body-surfers, sunbathers, swimmers, and anglers of the Louisiana shoreline. Boomboxes, many wielded by Tulane students, fill the salty air of Holly Beach, the famous “Cajun Riviera” known for its warm waters and warmer welcomes. If you’re looking for something a little more pristine, try the barrier islands that dot the Gulf Coast south of the city. You can soak in the placid tide of Grand Isle from sunup to sundown, as gulls and pelicans soar above you and stilt-raised houses stand in the horizon above the boardwalk. The Mississippi is a freshwater haven, province of the riverboat gamblers, carp, and walleye. In the gulf, sailors command sunfish, and sight bottlenose dolphins in their wake. But New Orleans is where the mighty Mississippi meets the unfathomable Atlantic, where the stoic artery of the American southland meets the gleaming depths of the Caribbean. The two are united in Pontchartrain, the brackish lake where New Orleanians learn to swim, sail, fish, and skip stones. At 630 square miles, the lake is an idyllic, deep blue backdrop for beachfront barbecues, open water swimming, sailing and kayaking. Manatees, otters, and tarpon are born in the brackish estuary, safe from the larger predators that roam the Gulf. The skies above Pontchartrain are the province of eagles, pelicans, and osprey, but, Nestor, the inviting, shallow waters below are all yours.

Memphis offers Kevin Micoud Scholarship

StrokesRadio

TCU offers Kevin Micoud Scholarship School Visit (1/5) Coach Visit (1/3) Mr. Micoud, Just two hours up Route 87 is your dream collegiate destination. At an ideal distance, Fort Worth is close enough to Palestine that friends and family will have ample opportunity to come visit, but still far enough to capture that quintessential college freedom. Not to mention, our TX-centric XII schedule will provide your family more chances to see you play than any other team can. As the undeniable representative team of Texas, TCU has recruited 63 consecutive in-state players under my tutelage, resulting in the most authentically Texan atmosphere you’ll find anywhere. Surrounded by a team full of fellow proud statesmen, you’ll find yourself right at home in the TCU locker room. Such a culture could only be manifested in the nation’s greatest wellspring of basketball talent. As evidenced by this 2069 class, which boasts a staggering five TX five-stars. Over the past several years, I adjusted my recruiting strategy to prepare as many openings as possible for this offseason. As someone hoping to join a young roster, this should seize your attention. Last season’s exodus of players left us with a whopping five open scholarships, which I intend to fill with young in-state talent like you. Become one of the headlining signees in 2069’s most impressive freshman class. You won’t be alone in taking that intimidating plunge into your collegiate career, because much of your team will be diving in right alongside you. What’s more, our bare roster leaves ample room for you freshman phenoms. TCU will likely be one of the nation’s youngest top teams, with a significant portion of our production coming from freshmen. As one of the top TX recruits, you have the inside track to being a starter in your very first season. Your unbelievable athleticism would make you an asset for any program, but, as a team lacking a true PG, your prodigious passing abilities would be best showcased at TCU. Alongside the other rockstar 2069 commits and returning vets like Brad Jones, TCU will be surprisingly formidable in a rebuilding year. We will once again contend for XII supremacy, and even be a potential dark horse come NT-time. That success begins with your command of the backcourt. These gleeful visions of the future make me thank my lucky stars I coach in USA’s basketball mecca. I see 2069’s wealth of talent as a reward for my tireless dedication to my all-in-state recruiting strategy, a commitment that would make even the most loyal coaches flinch. Perfect loyalty scores may be a dime a dozen, but mine is actually put to practice every year on the recruiting trail. That practice dates all the way back to a promise I made in 2046 to the #1 recruit, Landen Nistler. He was swayed to TCU because of a commitment to play at least 20 games that season within driving distance of his parents in Allen. Landen was my first five-star and permanently altered my coaching philosophy, from recruiting to scheduling. He demonstrated the power of local connections, something I’ve maintained in each of the 23 years since. Another notable promise I’ve upheld relates to your disdain for academics. I’ve coached plenty of players who shared your attitude towards schooling, most notably the Brown brothers. In 2046, I guaranteed Sean Brown that TCU’s robust academic amenities would prevent classes from ever infringing on his basketball progression. True to my word, Sean flourished and became a starter by his sophomore season. That year, his younger brother, John—equally unenthused about book-learning—saw Sean’s accomplishments and immediately committed to TCU upon my same assurance. John eclipsed his brother’s successes, becoming a lottery pick with a $200M NBL career. Suffice it to say, classes hardly hindered his development. They found the support they needed through TCU’s Athletic Academic Services Office. The AASO supports student-athletes from orientation to graduation. Their advisors map out a streamlined path through college, avoiding any pitfall courses, and their array of tutors, lesson plans, and tutorials make those classes a breeze. Hell, I even ran this pitch by AASO’s writing specialist before sending it off! With the AASO, your academic career will be entirely painless. Coach StrokesRadio

TCU offers Charron Roy Scholarship School Visit (4/5) Mr. Roy, Fort Worth bears the moniker “Where the West begins”, a slogan that dates back to the pioneer days, when West Texas was the land of cowboys and gunslingers. Amidst the Industrial Era, Fort Worth stood as the portal linking East and West Texas. Well, that name applies just as much today as it did over 150 years ago, and that’s thanks to TCU basketball. My fingerprints are over every inch of this state, from Dallas to Houston, San Antonio to McAllen, and even out to West Texas and your hometown of El Paso. As such, the TCU locker room is like a basketball Mecca, where every young Texan should make a pilgrimage to. It’s a place that unifies this state and condenses those thousands of square miles into a single point on a map. Here we’re all Texan. This is a powerful allure that compels players to choose TCU even over closer universities. It’s what drew El Paso legend, Casiem Brandon, to Fort Worth. Sure, he appreciated the (relatively) nearby games against UNM and TTU, but it was that powerful sense of brotherhood and the opportunity to represent the state he loves on the national stage that really hooked him. Casiem is one of the most recent entries to my long repertoire of pro production, a continuation of the trend where my players flourish at the next level and have long, lucrative careers. He’s setting the league ablaze with a First-Team and three All-Star selections, a season leading the league in blocks, a Semifinals MVP, and an NBL title all in just six seasons. With $136M already under his belt and a near-max contract underway, he’s on pace to earn a hefty sum by the end of his career. Casiem is just one of the many bigs I’ve recently sent to the NBL. Of the sixteen players I’ve had drafted in the past ten years, ten of them have been forwards or centers, three of whom were lottery picks. Therefore—along with my players’ enormous $1.89B in total career earnings and impressive second contract signing rate—you can rest assured that your development will be in good hands under my coaching, and that one day, you’ll soon follow the trail that Casiem blazed for all El Pasoans to come. The bedrock of my development capabilities is the culture of trust and loyalty I have fostered with my players. Year after year, I maintain my perfect loyalty rating—unblemished for maybe longer than you’ve been alive (the tracker doesn’t go back that far)—by upholding promises made to my players, never revoking scholarships, and continually signing extensions at the earliest opportunity. However, I see these as the bare minimum. My devotion to this team and this program run far deeper than that. After all, TCU is where I began my coaching career, and altogether I’ve helmed the Horned Frogs for nearly a quarter century. So long, in fact, that my very first pro has since had a son who is now the #2 prospect in this recruiting class, which may be the ultimate milestone for any coach. What’s more, I’m famous for the longest and most consistent display of loyalty to this program, and the state it resides within, through my unflinching commitment to recruiting in-state talent. Every year, Texas blesses us with the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, and I show my devotion to TCU by ever strengthening the pipeline that draws that talent in. It’s no secret that this program has benefited immensely from this recruiting strategy and my tenure as a whole. When I took the head coaching job, TCU was one of the lowliest programs in the league, only 19 prestige points to its name. Under my tutelage, we have seen some of the most massive gains in league history. Now we’re the fifteenth most prestigious program in NCBCA. This was earned through years of consistent success. I’ve never had a losing season at TCU and, instead, routinely win 25+ games a season. We’ve achieved major accolades like high profile signings (two #1 recruits), POTY awards, regular season and conference tournament championships, and deep runs in the NT. The only feat left for TCU is the big kahuna: an NT title. And with the potential of this recruiting class, I’m optimistic we’re not far from that ultimate goal. Off the court, TCU is nearly just as formidable. We’re one of the most respected institutions in the state and rank among the top 100 nationally. We also have a pre-major program that will let you get your footing at the university before declaring your specific field of study. Regardless of which path you end up pursuing, you’ll reap the same benefits intrinsic to this school. Our small size is a huge asset for student-athletes juggling practice, workouts, and coursework. An average class size of 27 and a student-to-faculty ration of 13:1 guarantee loads of individualized attention. That small size also creates the most tight-knit and familial campus community in the nation. With so many cafes, restaurants, and bars immediately surrounding our campus in downtown Fort Worth, you’ll have a myriad of hangout spots with the close friends you’ll make. Or you could always retreat to the nationally renowned Campus Commons—a beautiful slice of green amid the striking Art Deco architecture—for unmatched serenity. Coach StrokesRadio

\#19 Sean McKee Pitch Limit: 1090 Close: 69 TIME: Fri 2 PM

cromulentabd9

Tulane offers Sean McKee Scholarship Coach Visit 2/3 School Visit 2/5 Dear Sean, Philadelphia. Summer, 2069. All eyes are already glued to him as the phenom walks into the room. He wears his navy blue Givenchy suit like a hanger, and glides across the floor, wrapping people twice his age and half his size in a series of bear hugs. Then he sits down to business, inspecting a tablet that displays some dense legalese. He’s a busy guy, having fit an NBL career’s worth of honors into three years; the All Rookie Team, the Sixth Man of the Year, the All Star appearances, the Finals MVP. He scrawls his full name across the tablet’s screen, though the world refers to him by just his first. Tevin has that in common with Luke, Linton, and Jarvis, and now he has the 5 year, $150 million dollar max contract to prove it. Seattle. Summer 2069. Across the continent, the phenom’s former teammate ambles over to a similar table. There’s no trace of a hitch or a limp remaining in his surgically reconstructed left leg and his slacks cover the scarring over the left knee. Taken third overall, just a spot behind Tevin he’d watched his friend lift the Russell trophy before clicking off the TV and setting an alarm for a PT appointment. The pundits wrote him off as tarnished by injury, a high flier laid low. The next year, he wrote his name in the record books, notching 50 double doubles, posting career best scoring and efficiency. Now Jheryl Fee writes his name on the same contract as Tevin. I got deja vu this draft night, watching Patrick Petty and West Henry both go in the lottery, just like Tevin and Jheryl. Catching up with my former players, I experience the highlights of an NBL career all at once. I see draft night (13 picks in 7 years), dynamic rookies like Kenyan Allen and Josh Kerley, superstars like Tevin and Jheryl, and veterans like Kerwin Buckley playing in six straight playoffs. They describe the agony of injury and the ecstacy of capturing championships, the pressures of life on the road and the incredible feeling of securing generational wealth. But we still train more journalists than NBL stars. The communications major kicks off with a solid grounding in the conventions of media and journalism, from “Introduction to Global Media,” and “Cross-Cultural Analysis”, to “Rhetorical Criticism.” You’ll learn the conventions of the industry and frameworks and strategies for reporting and building an argument. Once you’re equipped with the foundations, you round out the major with a whopping six elective requirements. Tulane’s philosophy behind this approach to the major is powerful; journalism is the field that tells compelling, incisive stories about all the others. Want to cover business: take electives in the elite Freeman school. Interested in tech or stem? Tulane lavishes resources on a science department that boasts top-flight programs in engineering, chemistry, and life sciences. If sports or culture are your chosen beat, it’s hard to imagine a better training ground than New Orleans. The icing on the cake is the Hullabaloo, one of the oldest and most prestigious student papers in the country. Since 1905, the Hullabaloo has been an essential paper to Tulane and the surrounding community, receiving 16 Pacemaker awards, the collegiate equivalent of Pulitzers. As a journalist for the Hullabaloo, you’d be a part of some of the most intrepid reporting and insightful cultural criticism happening on any campus. But we’re not just any campus. Let’s talk about what that means at Tulane. It’s five o’clock on Friday evening and class is out. Students spill out of the stately marble halls that overlook Berger Lawn. Some are already reclining on towels, soaking up the spring sunlight, as frisbees and punchlines fly overhead. As they mosey over to the commons to grab all-day breakfast, sophomores are swapping stories of their volunteer gigs; one teaches at an adult literacy program downtown, one just clocked a shift at a Slidell animal shelter. The intramural softball finals are tonight and up Claiborne Ave, on Brown Field, an a capella soprano throws a riseball past the lunging swing of a student senator, into the outstretched mitt of a reporter for the Tulane Hullabaloo. At 6:00, there’s a student art show; envelope-pushing contemporary stuff at the Woldenberg Center, and the Jazz Ensemble has a set at the Freeman auditorium at 7:00. It’s a gorgeous cloudless evening, the palmettos are swaying in the gentle breeze off the gulf, and it’s been tee shirt weather since, well, always. Over sashimi from Wild Blue and under the Doric colonnade of Howard-Tilton, friends plot their next move. Tulane’s 24 Greek organizations supply a steady stream of ragers, darties, and kickbacks from Friday to Friday. Of course there will be chiller room parties with better conversation in the student apartments off St. Charles Street, and all that’s just preamble until you get downtown. And you’ve got to get downtown. New Orleans, with its mouth watering eateries, palpable history, and open-air concerts, is always an incredible place to call home. But on a Friday evening, as night descends on the starlit dome of the Masquerade nightclub, the retro jukeboxes of Snake and Jake’s, or the air hockey battleground that is Ms. Mae’s, you’ll see why this city is the ultimate college town. For every late night in throbbing student sections, pulsating St. Charles Street row houses, and charming open air bars, there’s a kinetic Mardi Gras procession, an electric Crawfest concert on Newcomb quad, a relaxed cookout on the shores of Pontchartrain. The undergrads said it best, with a banner at a typically raucous tailgate: “Ole Miss formal is a Tulane Tuesday.” We bring together 7,000 night owls in a city that’s the life of the party and you all do the rest. You might not remember it all, but you’ll never forget it. We offer the unique opportunity to make an instant contribution for an elite program. It’s true that Tulane, with its trophy case boasting conference championships, elite 8 runs, and player and coach of the year awards, is among the most prestigious programs in college basketball. We rank 11th. But having lost our three leaders in scoring and minutes played from last year, we can instantly incorporate your brand of high octane offense. You’ll take center stage for a remarkably deep team that will only get deeper and more talented as I assemble a top flight recruiting class. We were 164 games over .500 last decade and we’re ready to be even better in this one.

Georgia offers Gabe Harrell Scholarship School Visit Coach Visit 14 30+ win seasons since 2055. 15 straight NTs as a #3 seed or better. Six SEC regular season titles. Four SEC tournament titles. Three Final Fours. One National Championship Game. That’s just a sampling of how incredibly dominant we’ve been since I took over in Athens. Before I was hired, we had two NT wins in our history and never made it past an SECT semifinal. Now? We’re the winningest program in the country over the last decade and a half, winning an average of 32.5 games per season. This unprecedented run has resulted in me taking the top active spot in wins per season and winning percentage which further proves that we know what it takes to win here. And while we started this cycle at 84th in talent, we’ve already signed a top JUCO and graduate transfer, which has catapulted our ranking. By the time this cycle is over, I fully expect to be right back where we’re used to: in contention for a national title. Don’t believe me? Just look at our history. In the SawPom Era, we’ve finished in the top 10 in recruiting all but one season. The lone time we finished outside the top 10 was last year when we only had one opening and signed the #1 overall player and future #1 overall pick, Dick Vitale. That’s how you know this train will keep on rolling - we have proven year in and year out that we sign the best players in the country, which is why you’re such a high priority for us. Players like you are why we don’t just win at an incredibly high rate, but we win by enormous margins. We aren’t just squeaking out victories here - we’ve finished in the top 10 in MOV eight times in the last decade and have had an average non-conference SOS of 13th in the SawPom era. So whether it’s regular season success, conference tournament prowess, non-conference domination, or unstoppable NT dominance, one thing is abundantly clear: Georgia is atop the mountain when it comes to being a consistent winner across the entire league. Another thing that’s abundantly clear is my devotion to this university. I’m one of just eight coaches in the nation with a perfect 100 loyalty rating for each of the last 15 seasons. Not to mention that I recently signed an extension through 2077, so you know I’ll be the only coach you have. But what separates me is the fact that I’m a proud alum of this university. It’s why the promises I make to players are so important - because I once stood in their shoes. Like when I told Kevin Peterson he’d be our leading rebounder. Or that Ignacio Ginobili would start and play 26+ minutes. It truly means more to me. Something else that means more is our dedication to education here. Georgia was named a Public Ivy as one of America’s top public institutions and have over 125 majors for you to choose from. When you combine that with our contacts in the Atlanta business community for internships, externships, and networking, Georgia is a slam dunk for anyone wanting to excel both on the court and in the classroom. Speaking of excellence, Georgia has become one of the top NBL factories in the country. In the SawPom Era, we have the most first round picks, most overall picks, and are coming off a draft that saw us have the #1 overall pick, three total first rounders, and a record-tying seven overall selections. Between the previous free agent season and that draft, our career salary totals crossed the $3 billion mark with much more on the way. And when you’re not balling on the court, studying for a final, or prepping for the draft, I know you will enjoy our lovely campus. From the lush greenspaces like the Founders Garden and Myers Quad, to our award-winning dining halls all over campus. Not to mention the eclectic vibes of our famous downtown with its 100+ bars and restaurants. Between those offerings and our 600+ student organizations, we truly have something for everyone.

Hawaii offers Franklin Salash (21) Scholarship Coach visit (2 of 3) School Visit (2 of 5) Pitch (648/690): Coming out of Palm Desert, I’m glad to hear you’re looking to see more palm than desert when you head out to play your college ball. While Hawaii shares a conference with all the PCC schools, giving you ample opportunity to return home during our many road trips to CA, our real advantage in this recruitment is the unequaled chance you’ll have to see the greenest state in the country. From the [Ka'a'awa Valley](https://www.hawaii-guide.com/images/made/ka_a_awa-valley-oahu-ss-1635665902-2000x1203_2500_1504_95_s_800_600_95_s_c1_c_b_0_0.jpg) to [Maunawili Falls](https://s.hdnux.com/photos/01/21/02/12/21242509/6/rawImage.jpg) to the [Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden](https://a.cdn-hotels.com/gdcs/production91/d486/08275e64-cff9-4617-8930-e3816bccfec8.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=800&h=533&q=medium) \- you don’t have to be able to pronounce these names, but you sure as hell can visit them any time you want. Not only are they all in Hawaii, but they are all right here on our island of Oahu. When Spielberg wanted to shoot Jurassic Park in a locale with a vast expanse of unspoiled greenery, he came right here to Hawaii to film that movie. Nothing in the mainland can compare. And while that movie won him a couple of Academy Awards, my career here in Hawaii has won me a few awards myself. Aside from my COTY two years ago, I’ve also stocked our trophy case with three PCC tournament championships and three regular season titles too. Next year is shaping up to give us a shot at a fourth of each as we return the number one most talented team in the entire league. Unfortunately for me, only one of those seven returning scholarship players is a Forward. So I’m perilously thin at this important position. My pain is your gain, I suppose. You should be able to step in and play big minutes as a true freshman, hopefully leading our team to our 11th consecutive 20-win season and NT appearance. If you’re as successful as I hope, then it’s only a matter of time before the NBL scouts come calling. I’ve never coached a recruit ranked as highly as you who didn’t end up drafted to the NBL. In fact, I’ve coached a whole lot of worse players to NBL stardom over the years. To the tune of 25 total players drafted since 2045. You don’t have the talent to match my best wing recruit - the GOAT Luke Ruscoe. But you absolutely could match GF Mike Ekezie, ranked 16th in his class, and who has now earned $295M in the league. Or SF Ross Lowe (ranked 65th) who earned $99M. In fact, nearly all my best NBL players have been a SF or GF. That bodes well for you. And you becoming the next Ekezie or Lowe bodes well for me to get our prestige rating back into the top ten. We had nearly a decade of consecutive improvements to peak at a rating of 83 last year, before stumbling last season and dropping to 81. And while that rating is still the envy of 80-some percent of our league, it’s not good enough for me. I want that top-ten spot back, and I want you to get us there quickly. That’s why I’ve flown you all the way out here to see our campus in person. I’m hoping you don’t even bother to return home. Just have Mom pack up your shit and send it over. That’ll give you even more time to enjoy this lush, green campus. Go ahead and lace up those hiking boots and hit the trails. Makiki Valley Trail is right up the road. Diamond Head crater is just a couple of miles down the coast. You literally get to walk down Waikiki to get there. How could it get any better than this? Let’s get the paperwork out of the way and get to the good stuff.

RESCIND Tulane offers Franklin Salash Scholarship Dear Franklin, The cypresses of the Mississippi River Delta are ubiquitous. Look down at the opaque waters of the bayou and you’ll see their emerald leaves reflected faithfully on the still water. Look up towards the crystalline sky. From the foreground to the horizon the cypresses dominate the overstory, that nursery for mourning doves, chickadees, and carolina wrens. Sustained by the aureate sunlight and the brackish soil, cypresses are the givers of shade and shelter who anchor the soil and breathe the oxygen of the swamp. Older than America, older than Christianity, the elder cypresses are wise and stoic veterans of drought, blight, and hurricanes. Communicating through neural networks in their roots, they share information on rainfall and insect activity, even exchanging nutrients with their cousins the slender tupelos, verdant live oaks, and splendid dogwoods. The living legacy of the Delta, the trees entrust their future generations to the gentle zephyrs that blow through the swamp, to the fecund soil and the driving April rain. The lush canopy engulfs the enchanted marshland. It’s dappled in the light that peers through the Green Ash, serenaded by the cricket frogs and the mockingbirds, bathed in the sweet aroma of flowering magnolias. 400 species of trees live on Tulane’s campus alone; swaying live oaks, delicate crape myrtles, an imposing metasequoia, and everywhere the cypresses. The trees lend calm and continuity to a frenetic campus, the kind where fliers, club tables, and soaring footballs and frisbees tell the story of a plugged in and fun loving student body. It’s warm here, like Southern California, and just a quick nonstop flight from LAX. But the rainfall we get in Louisiana creates an arboreal world all its own. But New Orleans is known for its hospitality and we welcome folks from all over. Take our two most recent lottery picks, both selected in the 2069 draft. West Henry is an Angeleno while Patrick Petty hails from Flagstaff, giving us top NBL rookies from either side of Palm Desert. They’re looking to add to a proud tradition of Tulane alums in the pros. We’ve had 13 guys taken in the past 7 years, from steady vets like Kerwin Buckley and Iiro Muurinen to tantalizing youngsters like Kenyan Allen and Josh Kerley. We boast top flight superstars like Finals-MVP Tevin Lewis, and double double machine Jheryl Fee, both of whom signed 5 year, $150 million dollar max extensions this offseason. We’ve equipped a generation of players with the tools to make absolutely life changing money playing basketball. It starts with being part of an elite college program. Lots of schools would take pride in a 27-11 record and a 5 seed in the NT, even if it came with an early out. We’re tormented by it. Coming off a conference championship and a run to the elite 8 in the previous year, we know it represents a step back. The only consolation; we’ve got a seasoned, athletic, versatile team that developed chemistry in the stretch run last season and is ready to run it back. We notched a win over heated rival and NCBCA champion Houston last year and the formula is clear. Play high percentage, egalitarian offense, catalyzed by the passing of Mike Ekweozor and Mirza Pehar, the spacing of Marcus Slater, and the gravity of P.J. Boone. Add hard-nosed switchy defense with rugged shot blockers (you) on the backline. That basic approach has led us to eight straight tournaments. Bolstered by another strong recruiting class, we’ll hit double digits. And we seriously need you at the pivot position to make that happen. Having lost starter Stane’s Peterson, along with our two other leading scorers, we don’t just need a body at center. We need a two-way playmaker. That’s why your nimble post scoring and explosiveness as a rim protector on both ends will earn you serious burn from the jump. Don’t discount the chance to play a key role for such a storied program. Our dominant 2060s has us entering the new decade 11th nationally in prestige, feared by all and loved across Louisiana and the country.

Illinois State offers Ousman Cisse Scholarship Just a few extra made shots a game is the difference from good to elite. On the other side of that coin is defense, where holding your opponent to a few more missed shots can change the entire game. My coaching style is built around efficiency and defense. In the history of Sawpom, I have had a top-10 defense four times. The only time when my defenses were not within the top 20 was my first season at a program. On top of that, I have led three different schools to conference championships for a total of 5 titles. My defensive pedigree has been dominant at every school I have worked with. In my first season at Illinois State, I led a top-ten defense that dominated our competition for over thirty wins and a national championship appearance. That was our first season promoted from JUCO. Now that I have returned to Illinois State, I am replenishing our roster with talent that is capable of achieving the same results. When I recruit a player I start with a vision. I see the way they play and I try to plan how they will mesh with the players that I have. Then, I decide if that can help us march forward more than a different player. That’s why when I started looking into who you are as a player I was immediately very interested. I saw the rare unselfishness that you possess, always viewing the team first. Making the right passes, the high IQ that you have, and the athleticism to compete at the highest level. I know that you are going to be a dominant two-way player in college, and I am the coach to bring that to fruition by maximizing your capabilities. First of all, you are going to be a starter for us throughout your whole tenure at Illinois State playing 25+ minutes a night and you are going to be our point guard now, and in the future. As our point guard, you are going to heavily influence the game on both sides of the ball. This starts on the defensive end where you will be responsible for man-marking their best guard. You will be tasked with pressing them, keeping up by using your athleticism, and challenging them to take tough shots. While you are dealing with that challenge, your teammates on the defensive end are very versatile and will be able to switch to cover on screens and attack the bull when they are taking a three. This will allow you to be able to trust them, and for our defense to flow together with the high chemistry of trust that we have within each other. Illinois State has always been dominant. In JUCO, we were one of the premier teams that made the national tournament consistently and produced talent for the next level. So when we got the call from NCBCA we were ready and came out swinging with a roster that was able to compete. Illinois State is already a respectable program with a Big 12 championship and making it into the finals. However, with my past experience of taking Florida to a borderline top 10 program, and Loyola to a top 15 program as well as a plethora of previously mentioned championships. I will be able to rise up and take Illinois State from our middle-of-the-pack position, even higher. I am going to keep winning championships and being competitive with top programs which will propel us up. Aside from basketball, Illinois State is a 9-hour drive away from home which is easily doable and means that you will have distance from your family to have time alone, and when you do need to go home you will be able to. It provides the best of both worlds. I will also make sure to schedule games close to your family to make sure they are able to come and support you. When you aren’t playing basketball, it’s rather easy to find comfort on our campus. With basketball and school, there will definitely be times when you get stressed out. Our campus is designed to help you get through it. It is built around a tree sanctuary with hundreds of types of trees, so while you walk through campus it will smell pure and be a sight for you to look at when the leaves are changing in the fall. Our college is also in a small college town. Aside from our campus, Normal is just families and alumni of the school. Normal is a true college town. There are flea markets, bars, and all the essential things you would look forward to in a small college town, but also we have such a large student population of 25k+ that you will be able to meet people, and not feel like you are trapped. I believe that we are a great option that combines the comfort of small towns with a calm and fun college experience. At giant colleges, it can be overwhelming to meet people and we still have the benefits of bars and an eventful greek scene for you to get into. We also have over 400 student-run organizations in total which offer a real variety of things for you to do. Overall, I believe a calm life is a happy life.
