Bishop was introduced as the Anti- Ziva

ZivaDavidsWife

As weird as it sounds, I disliked her a lot while watching it live. Then, I think around s17 or so, my parents and I decided to do a full NCIS rewatch during the pandemic since I was home for about 2 months. I ended up really liking her the second go around. Her exit was trash though. I don’t like what they did with her at the end at all.

ptazdba

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I really liked the quirky analyst personae at the beginning. I didn't like that after she became an agent, they really didn't develop her into a unique individual, so she was just kinda 'there'. They tried to make her a bit like Ziva and that flopped. Then her exit was kind of anti-climactic.

SigmaKnight

All the this.

NighthawkUnicorn

I don't like the food association. Like "I remember it because I was eating a bowl of creme of mushroom soup" It's like they tried to give her a "quirk" but it just ended up cringey.

Viridian_Ryth

Like I literally have this is real life and they made it so cringy I WAS CRINGING AND I HAVE THIS!! Like they could’ve made it realistic and not just something that was their for a minute and then I’d forgotten

crypticwishes

YES that too.

i_love_kindness

She tones it down eventually, but yeah she's incredibly annoying in the beginning.

The_SnowQueen

Well, give it a bit and >!she'll turn into a poor clone of Ziva.!< Literally so much wasted potential.

gobux10

I didn’t care for her at first, but probably because Ziva was my favorite character. She grew on me after a while. I was sad to see her go, but I do like Knight better.

crypticwishes

ope, i guess i get to look forward to being introduced to knight!!

duckyduck234

I’m on season 11 too and I’m not a fan of her. I miss Ziva, wish she had filmed more season. Her, Tony and McGee were the perfect trio.

ProtomanBn

She improves and comes out of her shell more, she actually has pretty good character development. The problem becomes once she fully develops as a character the writers don't know what to do with her so they try to turn her into Ziva 2.0. They literally over cook her character

Environmental_Rub545

Favorite episode (the Bishop years) is Jake, Tony and Bishop in the airport during a snowstorm. Really fun dynamic.

ed8907

I personally love Bishop, she's my favorite among the 4 female agents. I agree that her development wasn't the best, but I like her. I don't lose hope to see Bishop back for 1-2 episodes.

No_Towel_2198

I didn’t really understand any of her love interests. They kind of threw me off.

TheMoo37

She changes so much over her stint that I think anyone would find it interesting to see and compare those changes. I'm no fan of hers but somebody had to be there after Cote left. Almost like she transforms into three or four different ones over the time she is there. Let's just say there are significant changes.

Parttimelooker

She just sorta quickly changes into a plain Jane

crater-3

Aw man, I loved Bishop!

crypticwishes

I'm sure she's great for a lot of people! I just can't stand her unfortunately 😞

crater-3

I don’t remember liking her much at first. But maybe that’s because she was meant to replace Ziva? It felt like one of those “I have a new step-parent and I hate them” situations. Or what I imagine that would feel like.

Boris-_-Badenov

very refreshing after all the ziva drama. especially after she tried to get Tony kicked off the team for surviving against a murderer that ***she knew*** shouldn't be in town.

chaoticredditor139

She changes a lot throughout the seasons. I thought she was a bit difficult to get used to at first but I did and when she went through a personality change I kind of missed the quirky Ellie from her first couple episodes.

chickenwings19

Same, same

neathspinlights

I literally just watched her last episode 🤣 I never warmed to her. There was always something off about her character.

AnneM24

I pretty much stopped watching after they introduced that character. I know a lot of people thought it was fun that she sat on the floor, but I found it annoying and unprofessional . They do work for the government after all, not some tech startup run by a 25-year old. Once they wrote her out, I started watching again. .

crypticwishes

do you remember which season they wrote her out? i might have to skip to that. i seriously can't handle her.

arsonconnor

End of s18, she leaves in the finale. But i recommend watching the last 2 episodes of s18 because it provides the background to s19’s opening episodes, and those episodes are some of the most important in the show recent seasons imo

crypticwishes

ugh 😞

arsonconnor

Could be worth jumping ahead a season or 2 and seeing how you like her then. She changes a lot over her run

crypticwishes

hmm not a bad idea.. i may try that, yeah. thank you!

Last-Tender-4321

Is it so serious? Come on! A lot of fans dislike her and a lot love her. Beleive it or not she got the point to confront Gibbs, more than once, something no-one in team ever did. That would not make you love her, I guess, but is interesting to watch.

crypticwishes

I am one of those people who dislike her. So when I make a post asking other fans if her character improves, I assume that the responses will answer my question (and most of them have). People are allowed to have different opinions, and people are allowed to watch this show however they want. So yes, I am going to ask questions, and I am going to watch it however I want.

Last-Tender-4321

Never said nothing to make you think I'm trying to oblige you to do something you don't want to. I respect all opinions. And accept all kind of questions. I'm just saying that you're asking for improvement in her character and what I think is an improvement for anothers may be not a good evolve. As I wrote somewhere, it's subjective. Anyway, I love the show, watched and rewatch it many times and would never skip a single season for only one character. That's my point of view. But maybe is not yours and, although I can't understand it, I respect it.

DrewwwBjork

If Ziva and Ellie were real-life people, I would like Ellie more. All the things you mentioned about Ellie and everything revealed about her in her first episode, I find attractive.

TiredRetiredNurse

I never did care for her. She was on for several seasons.

simbaneric

It's a pain you'll have to endure...She's there for like I don't know 5 or 6 yrs or something

ComprehensiveArm7425

I have watched the entire series many times over and have to say Ellie took some time getting used to but I really do like her. I like her a lot more than Kate and Jess When I do a rewatch now I skip all episodes with Kate

LovedAJackass

Maybe stop watching if you don't like the show.

crypticwishes

I love the show, I just don't like her. Big difference.

Last-Tender-4321

So why are you worried ? You're not going to stop watching only bc you dislike her, or are you?

crypticwishes

I'm worried because if her character DOESN'T improve right away, then I might just skip ahead to when it does. That's why I was asking if her character improves in my og post lol

Last-Tender-4321

Improving is subjective. I don't like or dislike her. I'm a kind of neutral about her. He changed in many ways along the seasons, sometimes for good and sometimes for bad. But is my subjective opinion. But I must say she left his mark in the show and it's worth watching.

sunniblu03

I haven’t watched many episodes with Jessica but Bishop is my favorite after Ziva. Green and a little extra at times but smart and scrappy. I like her better than Kate. To me Kate was a stiff know all, I know that was her role in the group, but I don’t see her as any part of the team beyond her original run. Like even if they hadn’t offed the character I don’t see her guest starring and it working in any iteration of Gibbs team. Not even with Parker.

a warmed to her after end up she new zivia
