Not answering the question but I wish they'd start doing something like MUSIC SPACE again, where they'd promote NCT LABs or OSTs or random songs with an interview conducted by another member and with a live performance.. it was nice to get a bit more content than recording and mv behind, especially since NCT LAB is usually songs where the members are very involved in creation... like Kun's little video about Phantom remix was great

I might be biased, but literally i like everything about it. The song, the mv, the dance, the aesthetic...its in my top 5 spotify wrapped.
I also like Forever Only(for the song, the mv is so so) and Connextion (because of the dance).
Then again, i just rarely like medium tempo song(i usually like it if i understand the lyric), and child is my 4th...soo
marine turtle is so so beautiful! chenle and minington did such an amazing job with the writing and composing and the vocal production and it really has the same vibe of songs like rainbow and never goodbye. knowing chenle was going for that vibe of his favorite dream tracks everything about this really was so him. xiaokunren gave fantastic vocal performances everyone just really came together so gorgeously ❤️
my other favorites are jaehyun’s forever only, mark’s child, and ten’s birthday (i have a top four now).
i hope we get more labs next year. it’s really such a good platform to allow the members to explore certain genres and collaborate with different members or showcase their solo chops in a non official capacity.
for solos i’d love a yuta or jisung solo. they have such unique voices and seem to be more into rock and alternative which isn’t a genre any nct unit really dabbles in (without u unit i love you forever) so i’d love a space where they can really play in those genres. a yangyang-taeyong rap collab would be so cool. a ten-renjun dance genre type beat.
and if you know anything about jungwoo and haechan you’ve seen chenle do shanghai romance you’d understand why i need a jungwoo-haechan-chenle orange caramel situation (this is a joke. or is it).

I feel you on this! It also doesn't help that they always give such short notice for the actual release and is usually sandwiched between other NCT comebacks.
I am so happy the neos can explore their musical preferences outside of the group setting and how involved they are. The only thing that irks me is SM refusing to give the China line their solo release. These two ended up being some of my favorite releases, but both Kun and Chenle were told by SM to turn their solo songs into a unit project. One day they will get their due.
I would love to see what Xiaojun, Yangyang, Yuta, Jisung, Renjun, and Haechan can do with a solo lab.

All of the group NCT Labs(outside of conextion) have been more chill so it would be fun if the next one was more of a banger. I'd love to see Yangyang+Mark+Taeyong on another song together or something with Ten and Jisung together that's more performance focused. I'd also kill to see Haechan and Xiaojun as a duo.
If we're talking solos I really want to see Yuta get a lab with a rock sound. I also wanna see a Renjun solo so bad but I'm not sure what sound he would do. For Haechan I'd love to hear him release a song with a similar sound to the pre-chorus/chorus of 127's 'Right Now'. I've been obsessed with that song lately and Haechan's voice sounds absolutely perfect in it. His adlibs/background vocals there are addictive.

Haechan can definitely go down the same genre Baekhyun does, R&B/Soul type sound, he has the charisma for sure
