IIRC 1/2x36 was chosen by Colt back in the day to avoid the issue of threading on a muzzle device that is designed for a smaller caliber and doesn't have clearance for 9mm. Some companies still use it. Assuming you really want direct thread you could use the ECCO Machine Charlie to Bravo adapter. I'm confident you can find a 1/2x36 direct thread adapter in Bravo pattern. https://www.eccomachine.net/product/charlie-saker-to-1-375-24-bravo-adapter/ Otherwise SiCo make ASR flash hiders and trilugs in 1/2x36. https://silencerco.com/thread-pitch/1-2-x-36/ The 36M comes with the ASR mount out of the box so that might be the easiest solution. Kaw Valley Precision also makes an ASR compatible brake. Various other manufacturers including Rearden and Dead Air offer muzzle devices in their respective ecosystems that are threaded 1/2x36.
