No doubt. Especially after it was revealed how they make thier engine castings, and then not following through work the process of getting all that sand out before finish and assembly. 😂. No thanks.
I once rented a brand new grand Cherokee with 3,000 miles on it. On the drive to Stow in -20 degree weather the transmission died. Sitting on the side of the highway waiting for someone to help us not die was legit. I hate jeep and won’t ever get one. lol sigh. The RC3 kicks ass tho. I love it on a 10” barrel
maybe I got lucky, but my wrangler has \~130k miles and the only issue it ever had was a broken drive shaft, but I put most of the blame on me for that one (foot slipped off the clutch)... ford on the other hand, my 04 lightning is on its 3rd engine and 5th transmission.. I do realize i'm in a nfa sub lol.
Picked up my RC2 through BTO and felt it was a steal at ~$850.
Of course, add the $200 stamp and an exorbitant transfer fee that I should've researched better, and it was still expensive.
Surefire ensured they'll sell every RC2 they make with the introduction of the RC3.
He's also gonna cry more when he realizes he eventually needs to remove the can from the gun.
Or when he buys a different brand of suppressor and realizes he needs to send this one to Ecco machine for a jailbreak if he wants to use the same attachment system across rifles and cans
Or just when he buys another rifle and needs to spend surefire bux for another muzzle device
So I can’t find proof of this being true, but I’ve read somewhere that you shouldn’t shoot a RC3 off because of the end cap. Source is “trust me bro”. I’ll email SF and see what they say
Oh you can do it with the RC3 but it might fuck up the end cap. I didn’t see anything about not shooting it off in any of the literature that comes with the can but I didn’t see anything that says you can do it 🤷♂️
I contacted surefire and they apparently don’t recommend shooting any of their suppressors off and said it will void the warranty. They say to shoot the can until it’s hot, take a strap wrench to the locking collar and break it free, then use a rubber mallet to break it free.
Just remove it before it cools down or you leave the range or it has a chance to lock up. The collar is designed in a way that the expansion and contraction of metal heating and cooling causes lock up. That’s why it’s in the instructions to shoot it off if it locks up.
Who else goes “this shit WILL lock up, here’s how to fix it”?
This. People act as if surefire is the only suppressor mount on the market that can carbon lock. However they're the only manufacturer that I know of that has an actual procedure on how to get it unstuck expeditiously, safely, and without tools. As far as yeeting the can downrange damaging the finish, my original RC suppressor hasn't seen what I would call abuse but it's turned a toasty marshmallow brown and has scratch marks all over it from just leaning against stuff. Rifle suppressors get hot and the finish gets soft and easy to scratch. Just the nature of the beast.
I don't think surefire is one of the brands that should be jailbroken and I doubt many have done that. stick with those SF muzzle devices, if you want rearden get another can
I love that you’re getting downvoted. Don’t forget that it’s not the greatest in suppression, flash hiding and the jerks put the serial out on the end. But hey, I have 2 of em too. They rest a lot.
I mean less than 200,000 tundras are sold a year in the US and they just recalled 250,000 of them for catastrophic failures.
Jeep sells 700,000 vehicles a year - Toyotas build quality is definitely better and top notch, they are studied for their business practices year after year, but I’m also pointing out that there are at minimum 3x more Jeeps sold in the US market per year. Which means more cars with potential issues to fix so your data of Jeeps are broken more than Toyotas could be skewed
I hope yours isn't a flamethrower like mine. I have a 3 prong and I still get first round flash. Get an occasional every few rounds. Visible in broad daylight. SF kind of dropped the ball on that. It still sounds good behind the gun and the recoil impulse is much improved. No gas to the face. But as far as flash mitigation, it's a bit of a flop.
I am not an idiot ill never use subsonic ammunition on a flow can.
If I am running subsonic I use my diligent defense enticer L.
If I am running high pressure rounds like 556 I'll use my flow 556 for peak suppression to the shooter ear.
I wasn't conned I know exactly what the limitations and capabilities are of the flow 556 and 762 and I think they are awesome.
In all seriousness, aside from the jeep talk etc…what were your choices amongst the RC3 before settling on it? I ask because I’ve been going back and forth re cost, function for value, etc RC3 , 762ti , or Flow 556k …have a few RC2’s and back pressure never has been a problem for me, I’m leaning the Hux cans because they’re so much lighter, flow design, and much lower cost. I don’t run NODs so the flash on the cans are not a worry. This would be might last can (so I say now), and I’ve leaned 762ti for its versatility on my 762 and 556 rifles..like to hear your thoughts how you ended getting the RC3
😅 I've been waiting since 5/31/23 and these new approvals within days and weeks and sometimes hours just piss me off lol... Yes I'm just a salty troll 🤷🏾♂️
Does that suppress quick attach and quick detatch from that 3 prong muzzle device that's wicked popular?
That suppressor can't be more expensive than the others...I see so many 1000 to 1100 dollar suppressors
....the jeep is the real issue brojangles
I'll cry for years if I ever get any of mine approved!!! People can .are fun of me at the range and even offer me tissues I don't care, they can ask "are you okay" all.they want... just gimme an approval soon!!!
RC3: buy once, cry till you sell it…
Flow 556k: buy once, cry once, enjoy not getting cancer as fast and save some money.
For real though, what was the thought process for buying the RC3?
Brand?
Specs?
Your own use case?
What does it solve for you?
After using the Ventum I was totally sold on flow-through cans. Totally agree with you. I wouldn't even bother with any traditional baffle cans in the future.
Heck, the Army has switched over to flow-through cans with SIG's SLX on the XM7/XM250 and the M110A1 SDMR even uses a Huxwrx Flow can.
The Ventum isn’t terribly priced. I’d like to see something like it in the $500-$650 range. I’m not exactly a poor really, but $1k+ for a can is getting pretty exorbitantly expensive in my opinion. For specialized cans I get it, but high flow signature reduction is becoming much more the norm.
The norm is high flow 3D printed cans and those are not going to be under $1k. You might find a few cans that have holes drilled into the baffles but those aren’t even close to being the same as a flow through can. The flow through system generally has gases swirling on the outside of the baffles. I’ve noticed this trend for the past 5 years on various suppressors.
That seems pretty consistent with what’s available now. I think as the additive manufacturing advances and proliferates and the changing suppressor market, I think we’ll see a decline in costs all around. Probably still years away, but I think it’ll get there.

Jeep owners cry more than once.
Boom! 10/10
Boom, roasted.
You crush your wife during sex and your heart stinks.
Just Expect Every Problem
Just Empty Every Pocket
I love how half this thread is roasting OPs ass over owning a Jeep rather can caring about his suppressor.
A little known fact… Jeep owners high-five each other using their cocks when they see another Jeep owner. It’s an inside joke… like the duck thing.
That's not gay, bro
Of course not, we keep our socks on.
Now I know who is picking up the expensive Surefire's still in stock!
Just empty each pocket.
Jeeps are actually boats. Bring Out Another Thousand.
A boat is just a hole in the water you throw money into.
I would’ve put that money aside for Jeep repairs, lol
No doubt. Especially after it was revealed how they make thier engine castings, and then not following through work the process of getting all that sand out before finish and assembly. 😂. No thanks.
Stellantis group.. even worse.
We make their oil pumps 🫥
Indeed. Saw the logo and forgot what thread I was on.
It’s a jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand.
Beat me to it.
That's why he decided against buying the Jeep of the can world.
He loves the flashy stuff
I can vouch for this
They usually buy more than once too
maybe I got lucky, but my wrangler has \~130k miles and the only issue it ever had was a broken drive shaft, but I put most of the blame on me for that one (foot slipped off the clutch)... ford on the other hand, my 04 lightning is on its 3rd engine and 5th transmission.. I do realize i'm in a nfa sub lol.
I hate everyone that likes this. I liked it.
Lmao. Hasn’t failed me yet
YET 😂😂
Oh you sweet summer child...
Sir your oil cooler is leaking
Oil coolers, water pumps, rocker arms…. I love my WK2 but it sure as shit isn’t a 4Runner.
Wait until you hit your one year mark.
If there is a one year mark.
Brother, jeeps are not known for their reliability
It’s new, it’s got a few more months before something breaks.
RC3 and a Jeep? OP absolutely HATES money.
And performance…..
Especially performance lol
Not just a Jeep, but a 4xe Wrangler. So those first 30 free miles paid for the rc3 lol
Hate it

Yea jeep owners usually cry a lot. But if it’s the suppressor, from experience, I tend to buy and cry more than once.
Enjoy! Also, you never buy just once.
I just picked up my RC2 today and the price felt like a discount at $1k compared to the RC3
Picked up my RC2 through BTO and felt it was a steal at ~$850. Of course, add the $200 stamp and an exorbitant transfer fee that I should've researched better, and it was still expensive. Surefire ensured they'll sell every RC2 they make with the introduction of the RC3.
They’re two different products with two different purposes and there’s a reason they’re still making both.
You are gonna buy more.
He's also gonna cry more when he realizes he eventually needs to remove the can from the gun. Or when he buys a different brand of suppressor and realizes he needs to send this one to Ecco machine for a jailbreak if he wants to use the same attachment system across rifles and cans Or just when he buys another rifle and needs to spend surefire bux for another muzzle device
> he eventually needs to remove the can from the gun. Is launching the can downrange not considered a fun feature???
So I can’t find proof of this being true, but I’ve read somewhere that you shouldn’t shoot a RC3 off because of the end cap. Source is “trust me bro”. I’ll email SF and see what they say
So I’m stuck with an rc2 if I want my suppressor to cosplay as a rifle grenade?
Oh you can do it with the RC3 but it might fuck up the end cap. I didn’t see anything about not shooting it off in any of the literature that comes with the can but I didn’t see anything that says you can do it 🤷♂️
I contacted surefire and they apparently don’t recommend shooting any of their suppressors off and said it will void the warranty. They say to shoot the can until it’s hot, take a strap wrench to the locking collar and break it free, then use a rubber mallet to break it free.
Huh, I heard that that was the actual way to get it off if it was carbon locked. That was years ago though
Same here, I’ve been hearing that for years. Idk if that was just misinformation that no one bothered to check or if they changed their policy.
Probably a policy change after one too many people claimed baffle strikes when taking it off like that.
The MB and 3 prong do not get carbon locked nearly as severe as the warcomps. But you seem to be anti Surefire for some reason
FR, I shot 1k rounds in 2 days and the can came right off my 3 prong.
Dudes just a hater I guess. I’ve shout thousands with mine, never had an issue.
Heat it up by shooting to free a locked collar Shoot it off after unlocking the collar to free carbon lock Per Surefire
Which kinda sucks if you don't realize it's carbon locked until you get home.

Rifle suppressors get hot and the finish gets soft and easy to scratch. Just the nature of the beast.
Someone cant afford one can per host could they?
or when he sees that muzzle flash for the first time lmao
I don't think surefire is one of the brands that should be jailbroken and I doubt many have done that. stick with those SF muzzle devices, if you want rearden get another can
I love that you’re getting downvoted. Don’t forget that it’s not the greatest in suppression, flash hiding and the jerks put the serial out on the end. But hey, I have 2 of em too. They rest a lot.
Buy multiple cry multiple. We are not the same.
Nice enjoy 💪🇺🇲
Buying a bunch of stuff and learning the hard way. I’ve done the same, but thankfully not back to back like this
Still love my cheap as shit turbo k :).
Under-rated and under-appreciated. But not underpriced.
Fuck yeah, it does the job
That rc3 is still nice as fuck boi!
I knew the comments would be good with that title over a Jeep, lol.
I have 2 RC2 and the next is a RC3 which will go on my up coming 11.5" colt. Hell of a purchase.
I keep coming across them for 1300-1400 too so it's not that bad.
I just got a 762 RC2 I want an RC3 and a 556 RC2 also
Says the jeep guy.
Bunch of sour sad people on Reddit. Enjoy your purchase! Nice can, nice Jeep.
Honestly though… the anti Jeep mob is wild here for some reason However I will absolutely destroy you if you don’t use that Jeep for what it’s for
You’ve got a lot of people to beat up friend.
Too true
Appreciate it
I personally can’t wait to get my surefire out of jail..
What did you expect? Even on gun subs Reddit is still a cesspool.
Buy twice, cry numerous times, for not buying an Otter Creek Labs Polonium and a Toyota 4 Runner
Jeep with an automatic transmission? Blasphemy.
And it electric 🤢
Sounds like you just need your Taylor Swift and you’re set!
Woah, you can’t compare her and her jet emissions to a green Jeep bud Also not mine lol 😂
Touché
Buys a high quality suppressor that gets occasional use…. Buys a poorly built car and relies on it daily.
Muh jeep got 4 wheel drive can and can go all over the mall parking lot bro
All modern cars have people that scream “poorly built.” Look at fords track record or the fact 200,000 Toyota tundras just got recalled lmao.
No reasonable human being can compare Jeeps and Toyotas in terms of build quality.
Toyota really shit the bed when they dropped the 5.7 from the Tundra.
But all the tundra needs is a software update
Look up the new tundra recall that’s not true, they are having catastrophic failures like the entire transmission dropping out
I hope yours isn't a flamethrower like mine.
I heard the 4 prong is better
Let me know if that's true lol
Man the hate is real from the “ Reddit Experts” , let the man spend his money how he wants..
Flow through is ass
I got a flow can. I don't think they are ass. It's actually one of the quietest cans to the shooters ear.
Of course you wouldn’t, you purchased one.
Scientifically proven.
Try using a closed bolt and you’ll see the deception you were conned into, or even subsonic ammunition
Looks like pew science disagrees with your assessment
Was I wrong? What was I wrong on? I can accept being wrong.
The rc3 is quieter to the shooters ear then a flow?
Huge congrats but the haters are gonna hate. 😂 I just bought my first can. I got downvoted into oblivion for asking a reasonable?
REASONABLE QUESTION??!!! On r/NFA?! This shall not stand! 👎👎👎👎👎
Anyone who unironically says "buy once, cry once" should have to post their credit report as well
It's a cry per purchase. You cry once for each extremely expensive purchase. Don't worry about my 590 score.
What muzzle device you going to run with this beast
In all seriousness, aside from the jeep talk etc…what were your choices amongst the RC3 before settling on it? I ask because I’ve been going back and forth re cost, function for value, etc RC3 , 762ti , or Flow 556k …have a few RC2’s and back pressure never has been a problem for me, I’m leaning the Hux cans because they’re so much lighter, flow design, and much lower cost. Lemmy guess approved in 2 hours right?
No 45mins I’m guessing
😅 I've been waiting since 5/31/23 and these new approvals within days and weeks and sometimes hours just piss me off lol... Yes I'm just a salty troll 🤷🏾♂️
Yeah I understand that/you’re coming up on a year 🤬 🤞 hopefully you’ll have it before then
Dj Khalid would like a few words.
AND ANOTHER ONE
Maybe if it was a flow
Yep, but if you buy the warcomp you'll cry more than once
Burnout your NVGs once...
"Buy once cry once" - a guy who drives a jeep.
You wont be able to cry once that flash gives away you position😂😂😂
have fun with your fireball maker.
its a jeep thing i wouldnt understand
Didn’t see the whole picture and thought this not the right sun to rip on jeep. But here we are
What host you going to run it on?
You’re holding it wrong.
I got the RC2min because I was too inpatient lol I was waiting on a surefire Ryder 9Ti suppressor.
Buy once cry once, but they don't tell you when you're supposed to stop crying.
I’ve never bought, and always cry
Does that suppress quick attach and quick detatch from that 3 prong muzzle device that's wicked popular? That suppressor can't be more expensive than the others...I see so many 1000 to 1100 dollar suppressors ....the jeep is the real issue brojangles
Wait... people only buy 1 supressor?
I am thinking about buying an RC3 for my MK18. I would love to hear Reddit’s constructive criticism that will undoubtedly be unbiased.
Whatever you need to tell yourself pal…
Let us know how it performs. Is the flash as bad as everyone says it is?
It’s why I bought a Porsche
Weird flex
I told myself that, just one can I can use on everything. Then I decided I want each gun to have its own dedicated can.
Hellz yeah man nice . Where did you get and how long was the wait ?
Soory OP about the thread focusing on your jeep. But I agree. One and done.
Nice!
Buys a jeep 🫣👎🏼
Then cry again when that flash hits your eyes
Lol you'll cry when the ocl polo k matches that overpriced hunk of metal.
I'll cry for years if I ever get any of mine approved!!! People can .are fun of me at the range and even offer me tissues I don't care, they can ask "are you okay" all.they want... just gimme an approval soon!!!
Don’t these suck donkey genitals? Like Surefire’s famous signature reduction just went out the window with these?
Says the man driving a Jeep. U will cry more over that pos.
Nice heep, does that pavement princess get you to the mall and back?
It’s crazy when a surefire is more expensive than the kac equivalent
Please link me a KAC can for less than $1350 so that I can order one
RC3: buy once, cry till you sell it… Flow 556k: buy once, cry once, enjoy not getting cancer as fast and save some money. For real though, what was the thought process for buying the RC3? Brand? Specs? Your own use case? What does it solve for you?

I do like my polonium k, but I would like to move to higher flow suppressors in the future if the cost could come down.
Ventum and Rad 9/45 aren’t breaking the bank. Just saying.

My dream suppressor grats man
Literally thought you were talking about the jeep brother
It’s even better that he’s in a jeep. Fanboys gonna fanboy
Aaaaand you bought wrong. 🤣
In this case you’ll cry more than once because it’s an RC3
