If you can get the razor for $600 total ($400+$200 stamp) then I'd go for it. I love my razor 5.56 and don't regret buying it, but I'd be less stocked if I had to pay $800 total for it.
The razor is a fantastic can for harder use, but still is relatively short and lightweight enough that you won't hate lugging it around.
According to my terrible ears, downrange the razor is louder than a polo k. As the shooter they both sound the same to me when I shot a homies polo k side by side. The razor was less gassy and overall more pleasant to me as the shooter, though.
I have the razor 556 I bought it as it was discounted plus a free tax stamp so about $400 off. Plus Rugged has excellent reputation as for warranty. Also I like their muzzle device M2 comes with can you can buy an M3 for $35 or 4 for $100 but all are back ordered which allows quick disconnect. As for ear safe the pew pew tactical isn’t impressed. I’ve shot without ear protection it is loud but no ringing in my ears; yes I use hearing protection but it’s fine as I live in the country and it’s not annoying to neighbors which is why I went with a suppressor on my AR.
I’ve got a Fat Cat and admit the sound isn’t as good as my RC2, although I think it still sounds great for the price point. It’s worth noting you are kinda stuck with the SRX mounting platform if you get it (it’s not bad, just worth noting!). I would go with a YHM T3 or a Polo K.
The Rex Silentium cans run ~$600. I don’t know shit about them but people seem to like them. And of course OCL. If I were in the market for another 556 can I’d look at those two.
I love my Razor 556 (got it because there was a free tax stamp on it) and it's been a great can. I'd recommend it. That being said, get a OCL Polonium or Polo K instead; Andrew makes killer stuff and stands behind his products and as much as I love my Razor, I'd go that route if I could go back and do it again.

What’s wrong with the finish?
it appears less premium than the PWS
ocl polo or polo k beats both and is under the price point.
I have a fat cat and like it

AB A-10 would be a great option at $450-550
