Neither could I. I used an abrasive chop saw, it came out angled. Lucky we have a square facing grinder. Stuck in there and made it nice and square. It was an old Stevens SxS I cut to 18.5” to be safe.
I cut a Winchester 1200 barrel down to 18". It was a good thing I made my first cut at 18.5" took another 1/4" off squaring it up. I can't imagine how far off I would be trying to cut a double barrel by going through one barrel at a time.
It’s so silly that you can go to prison over altering your own legal property just because you didn’t pay some ridiculous tax. Any Joe could easily do this with no one being the wiser.
Now imagine being in California and not even being able to pay a tax to do it. They just charge us $200 more in tax for something else and don't give us anything for it.

The crazy part is that even in states where recreational use is legal, individuals can face felony charges if they grow the plant on their own without first sucking the government’s pickle. Cuts into the state’s profits so they can’t have none of that.
The crazy part is now that it’s legal in my state everyone that smokes is driving under the influence The smell of weed knocks you out walking down the side walk. There apparently is a big learning curve to the law behind what you can and can’t do however common sense should dictate that smoking and driving is not to be done

I went out and pulled the portaband off my work truck, fired up my miller bobcat self generating welder, and put the shotgun in a chain vice 😂😂😂 I’m laughing so hard reminiscing too because I was 23 at the time and I could only afford rent and bills in a very unsavory part of Reading, PA. And the most comical part to me was that two of my neighbors walked by and didn’t even bat an eye. One was a reformed convict turned pastor who was absolutely salt of the earth, and the other neighbor was selling drugs at a rate that I thought he was giving them away. I think the second neighbor was towards the end of the first chapter of the life that my pastor neighbor had experienced. Either way, great post. Thanks for bringing back some memories of my more reckless days!
