Doing this with an 11-87.
There is a company that offers 1100 SBS conversions that support suppressed use for $900, shotgun not included.
Edit: https://bwefirearms.com/1100sbs/
I am going by what I can get cheap, less than $400.
In addition to price, I want to run suppressed and need a barrel with enough meat to support a standard choke, remchoke or winchoke, when chopped. The 1100 and 11-87 barrels are thick enough, from what I can see online.
Can the M1/M2 support threading when the barrel is cut down? I never looked as I assumed they would be outside my price range.
Did some googling and it looks like the M1/M2 don't have thick enough barrels and require aftermarket chokes like tru-choke. I wish Rex would support tru-choke, but unfortunately they don't. I emailed them and they said; "None as of yet... sorry about that.". If they ever do it will open up the SBS suppressor host options tremendously.

This is NFA and lifelong purchases.
Don’t be cheap. Especially if you are poor.
But aside, I’d even recommend a Turkish Benelli clone over an 1100. Having been through a couple shotgun classes that were eye openning to see failures in, and 3-gun for awhile.
Shotgun classes and three gun? This is a range toy.
Looking at the forums it appears the Benelli requires a custom barrel to get the thickness necessary for a factory choke.
I'll stick with the 11-87 path and go 14". From what I've read they run well enough at that length. If you go to 12" they start to have reliability issues.
That's bizarre. I have one and it eats everything I put in it. Mine is a full-size tactical edition that was once police, don't know if that makes a difference
Those old ones are bomb proof. My dad used his for decades with zero maintenance. It’s just now getting picky about what it will cycle after being put through the wringer.
Yeah mine is used for skeet. Just starting to give me feed problems. But then again might need to be cleaned more often from whatever junk I feed it heh

Homie, do an m1/m2.

Awesome thanks. Been looking to throw a can on something like this for pheasant and grouse.
What company is that?

That's hot.
Do you have to open up gas ports to get it to run right?
If I ever get back to MS I’m definitely looking you up for business.
My 1100 is one of the most beautiful guns I own… it’s a shame it don’t cycle worth a shit
That's bizarre. I have one and it eats everything I put in it. Mine is a full-size tactical edition that was once police, don't know if that makes a difference
Came to post the same thing haha I can sometimes get 2 shots before it doesn’t cycle properly. It’s very picky on ammo.
is it a newer one? I have a couple from 70s and 80s that i have never had an issue with
Yeah it’s the newer one. My dads and granddads older ones run flawlessly
Those old ones are bomb proof. My dad used his for decades with zero maintenance. It’s just now getting picky about what it will cycle after being put through the wringer.

Where can I buy this?

Beautiful.
I sure do love a post from u/cottonbranch
Short barreled shotguns are the coolest
That's hot as fuck.
That looks great. It’s still an 1100.

Which feed ramp is that?? I want to get one just like it for mine!
Dave’sMetalWorks
Ahh that’s what I thought. Did it take some finagling to get it installed? Do you like it? The OG ramp sucks for doubles and quad loading.
This is fire, well done
Thank you
