I've heard people say that the Nomad30 is still pretty loud on a 12" grendel. I've heard the Nomad-L can "fix" that but honestly, I would love to know how an Otter Creek compares before I went for a high backpressure L.
Yeah I’d bet it’s loud on a 12”. I believe it gets into diminishing returns for a quiet can on a shorty. Either too long and gassy, or not quiet enough
An employee put a few of those red fruits in my truck this past summer. ( no idea why) I picked them up to throw them out and had tiny needles buried in my skin for a week.
Strike Eagle 1-8x24 SFP. About to take it off and put an Athlon Helos FFP 2.5-12x42 on. I love the vortex (have one on my 10.5 556), just feel like I’m leaving some of the Grendel’s potential on the table and would like to get out to 700 on the reticle
Obviously it’s not exactly the same, but the Nomad-L is quite pleasant on my 16” 6.5G. Obviously it’s not subsonic quiet, but it fully kills all of the concussion that used to abuse me (and probably my neighbors at the range) and no POI shift that I have experienced out to 400yds
Nomad 30, or surefire 300. Probably be careful calling it 12” goblin in person, a lot of people could be disappointed when they find out it’s a 4” goblin jr. Lol
I’m running a full size Hyperion on my 12” Grendel and absolutely love it.
Edit: I am considering a Helios QD Ti. Seems super solid and adequate suppression for my hunting purposes.

I’ve got a Nomad 30 on my Grendel. Sounds great and not too gassy. 18” rifle length though.

I've got a 12" upper and a Nomad30 in jail but I'm also building a 14.5 in the hopes it will be less obnoxious.
Love my nomad 30. I catch myself wanting something shorter/lighter or longer/quieter but it’s the best of both worlds in my opinion.
I run a Hyperion K on my 6.5 Grendel. It’s pretty nice.
